## What is BeamDrop?

BeamDrop turns your iPhone or iPad into a dedicated wireless file server — instantly accessible from any PC, Mac, or laptop browser on the same network. No cables. No cloud. No software to install on the receiving end.

— WHY BEAMDROP EXISTS —

Sending iPhone photos to a Windows PC has always been painful. AirDrop only works Apple-to-Apple. Email compresses your images. iCloud needs an account and eats storage. USB ties you to a desk and launches iTunes. Cloud services upload your private photos to someone else's server before you can download them again.

BeamDrop removes every middleman. Your iPhone becomes the server. Your PC browser becomes the client. The transfer is direct, local, and instant.

— HOW IT WORKS —

1. Open BeamDrop and tap "Select Photos or Videos"
2. The app instantly displays a local address — for example, http://192.168.1.5:8080
3. On any PC or Mac, open Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox and type that address
4. A clean gallery appears showing every file you selected
5. Tap a thumbnail to download individually, or tap "Download All"

That is the complete workflow. No pairing. No account. No PC app. No QR scan. No Bluetooth. Just a URL.

BeamDrop has no backend, no analytics, no ads, and no third-party SDKs. It does not collect, transmit, or store any data. Your photos and videos travel from your iPhone directly to your computer browser — nowhere else.

BeamDrop is purpose-built native software, not a web clip. The app actively manages the HTTP server lifecycle, handles iOS foreground/background transitions and automatically restarts the service when you return to the app, integrates with the native Photos picker, monitors network changes and switches between Wi-Fi and Hotspot modes automatically, and keeps the screen awake during transfers to prevent iOS from suspending the session.
