BeamIt now includes **Channels**, a new way for users to stay connected beyond a temporary room.

Channels allow a user, business, organization, church, film crew, event host, or group leader to create one long-term BeamIt space with its own channel code. Unlike standard rooms, which are designed for temporary event-based sharing, Channels are meant to remain available over time so people can continue joining, receiving updates, and accessing shared information.

With Channels, a channel owner can share posts, links, notes, PDFs, images, or other BeamIt content with members of that channel. This makes BeamIt useful not only for live events, but also for ongoing communities, teams, businesses, and recurring groups.

This update also includes a usability improvement to BeamIt room codes. Room codes now use **6 numeric digits** instead of alphanumeric characters, making them easier for users to read, type, remember, and share verbally.
