It’s engaging and really supports him during meltdowns or stressful moments. A wonderful tool for any parent looking to build emotional skills in young kids. ### 5/5 — Best app for handling big emotions *2025-04-08* Ok, so I very rarely write reviews, but this app has surprised me in so many ways, I want to leave a word for my fellow parents. So I am an autism mom to a beautiful 6 year old kid on the spectrum whom I love to bits and emotion regulation is something we have always struggled with, despite putting him in so many therapies over the years. None of them taught him the skills to manage his big emotions. Beanemo is simple( my favorite part) precise but fun at the same time. The layout is simple with minimal distractions and this is the part I have always struggled with in finding the right learning app as there are so many distractions on the screen that they draw his attention away. It describes big feelings with very common scenarios and shows how our face and body reacts to internal feelings, and what we can do in the moment to feel validated, in control and calmed. There are lots of strategies to handle all kinds of emotions. My kid’s favorite are music ( he loves music), squeezing a ball or hugging ( he is a sensory seeker), a fun breathing exercise and coloring. We are 1 week in using Beanemo and just today he mentioned “ I am scared” I asked why are you scared. He answered “loud”( he heard thunder) and then he hugged me. I was in awe. After years he is getting to know how he feels and what he needs to do to feel safe and in control. This is huge for us. Overall, it’s a great tool for kids and caregivers to learn and manage big emotions without getting overwhelmed by them with really simple strategies. My only suggestion for fellow parents is to navigate the app for the first few times with their kids and once they know, they will be ready to explore on their own. ### 5/5 — Amazing! *2025-04-06, version 1.0* Beanemo has been such a hit with my kids and they absolutely love the adorable character and engaging activities.
