## What is Bear Map?

This is Bear Map, a community-built bear detection app created by everyone.

While you can also check the homepage of your town for such information, the reality is that people rarely take the time to do so themselves. In such cases, this app serves as a nationwide platform for bear sighting information to help ensure your safety.

The app's management team will also regularly update sighting information collected from prefectural and municipal offices across the country.
