## What is Bearing Bolts?

Bearing Bolts is a workshop puzzle about work orders — not a color-match toy.

Tap a bolt only when it matches the current spec on the rail. A mismatch drops into the vise. The vise has two or three jaws. When they fill, you reseat: tap a jaw bolt, then an empty hole, and screw it back so the next one can ride the rail.

Read the stack before you pull. Upper plates hide bolts underneath. A through-bolt locks more than one plate. A brass triangle marks a load-bearing pin. Pull that pin too soon and the bench collapses.

HOW A SHIFT WORKS • Follow the manifest line by line: Red M6, Blue M8, Green M5, Yellow Thru • Park mismatches in the vise; reseat when the jaws are tight • Clear a cover plate before you can reach bolts under it • Leave load-bearing pins until the plate above is gone • On the last two orders, a cheater bar lets you pull one bearing pin safely

WHAT IS ON THE BENCH • 12 campaign work orders on three benches — each layout is its own problem • Daily Check: a dated order with a move budget • Logbook: best moves, time, and an optional site photo stored on this device • Color Assist, sound, and haptics in Settings • No account, no ads, no in-app purchases

WHO IT IS FOR Players who like to think one step ahead. The first order teaches the rail in a few minutes. Later orders ask you to reseat, free a through-bolt, and respect the stack.

Camera and Photos are optional. Use them only to pin a photo of a real bench or workpiece to a completed order. The photo stays in the app on this iPhone. You can remove it any time.

Take the first order. Read the rail. Don’t jam the vise.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.0.3 — 2026-09-21

1.Limit This Order — Pause on a campaign order can restart that same stack with a move budget. Pause also shows how many limited moves are left (N moves · M left).
2.Replay a stamp — The win ticket can replay the same order. After all 15 campaign stamps, Home Bench says Replay instead of Continue Order.
3.How to Play from a jam — A jam or collapse sheet can open How to Play. Settings can Drop Open Order to clear a mid-shift bench without resetting the whole device.
4.Missed yesterday — If yesterday’s Daily Check was skipped, the home shift bar says Missed yesterday. How to Play adds a Holes Travel card.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-19

Undo Last — Pause, jam, or collapse can take back the last move. A fatal pull does not force a full restart.
Leave and continue — Leave a campaign, Limit, or Daily Check mid-shift. Continue Order opens that same bench, mode, and vise, not a fresh campaign ticket.
In-progress ticket — The home ticket shows In progress · N moves, Limit · N moves, or Daily Check · N moves. Order Board hang-tags mark the open job with a brass ring. Today’s finished Daily Check adds Daily done on the shift bar.
Three dated benches — Daily Check rotates three Spot Bench stacks. How to Play adds a Cheater Bar card for L11 and L12. Pause shows the current move count.
Recent daily checks — Logbook keeps the last seven Daily Check stamps, with moves and time, so yesterday’s bench can be replayed.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-19

1.Shift recap on the home bench.
2.Replay a stamped order from the Logbook.
3.Win ticket marks a new best.
4.Pause shows your stored best.
5.Settings can reset this device’s bench.
6.Fail counts stay on the Logbook.
