However if you use image generation and try to download the file it instantly crashes rendering the tool useless ### 3/5 — No privacy policy or TOS *2023-11-04* I deleted it — it tells you to read the privacy policy and TOS. Both pages are 404 Not Found. This is either sloppy or shady. ### 3/5 — More valuable on the desktop, but still has limitations *2023-07-23* Your account subscription applies to the desktop too. Be sure to get the browser extension to get the most value out of your subscription. The web page executive summary and related features add value to the subscription. The addition of an encrypted notebook sync over ChatGPT’s native app is nice, but it comes at the expense of speed and a less intuitive UI. It also makes the user manually manage the encryption key; there is no option to use iCloud Keychain sync between iPad, macOS, and iPhone. I have subscriptions to both ChatGPT and Bearly, and find myself defaulting to ChatGPT’s app for its UI and speed. The addition of image generation is a nice thought, but the available engines lag behind the state of the art. It’s still in six finger and goat eyed human territory. It’s not as reliably realistic as a tool like Midjourney. It does okay on some inanimate objects or cartoony corporate art styles. Or it would if the generated images were larger. Users can’t choose higher resolutions. This means users can’t get images that can be used in writing or presentations with any prominence. The limited resolution is more useful for a little novelty exploration or perhaps making user icons. The feature may as well not be included if it’s only generating large thumbnails. ### 1/5 — The design of login and synchronization is very foolish. *2023-07-06* The design of login and synchronization is very foolish. ### 2/5 — Super buggy *2023-06-06* A lot of bugs, not intuitive, UI isn’t properly set up for iphone ### 1/5 — Openai app is better value *2023-05-19* I regret paying for Bearly as for the same amount I can get ChatGPT plus with all it's plugins. Now Openai also have their own IOS app, which is so much faster. Bearly is way overpriced for what it does and monthly tokens are limited with unused amount expiring every month :( If the limit is reached, Bearly asks for extra payment which is unfair. ### 5/5 — Finally found the one! *2023-05-11, version 1.0* I’ve been trying a lot of GPT-based apps and often found they were good in one area but didn’t have a lot of what I needed in other spots. Writing but no analysis, couldn’t get the answers I wanted, didn’t know how to build templates. That all changed with Bearly and I’m happy to say my search is finally over. At $20/month I get all of the chat, write, and read that I could ever need and I wasn’t fidgeting around for an hour trying to figure out how to use it.
