Daher 2 Sterne Abzug. Ansonsten eine sehr gute App. Wenn nicht sogar das beste auf dem Markt. Beastcam on paper fulfils the requirements. However, in use I found the controls too small and fiddly to use and sometimes the camera just started recording while I thought I was just setting up. Bright scenes can obliterate some of the camera overlay icons. I don’t care for the T&C’s regarding the account needed to store presets etc. if you want a camera in the manner of Blackmagic camera it’s probably up there. Renders it virtually useless for me. Disappointing to say the least. ### 1/5 — Buggy App *2024-11-13, version 1.21* The app came highly recommended but honestly I’m having issues that I feel people need to be aware of. I recorded a video on the app only to go back and the video was not there. I assumed maybe I forgot to click record although I was sure I did. There is a video on the app that refuses to open and allow me to see the data so I’m thinking that’s the video I recorded and it crashed somehow. Today again I recorded a video and during the recording I noticed my microphone wasn’t feeding in so I paused. As I fiddled with the screen the app then crashed and I lost that recording so that’s not great. On top of it, it refuses to allow me to download my videos to my phone saying not enough storage. My phone has over 1TB available so I’m confused. So now my edit is just stuck on the app. Maybe the app may work if you only need to take a couple minutes shots but I use mine to record long form videos so it’s clearly not made for that. I would probably give this app 0 stars if I could because right now I’ve not experienced any benefit to using it and in fact has caused me to waste time recording content I can never access ### 4/5 — Shutter and Horizontal pictures do not work very well *2024-10-06, version 1.21* As I just downloaded this app yesterday, I only downloaded it to take better pictures since I have a separate video camera app, but whenever I took a picture then go back into the app, The shutter couldnt work anymore, and in some instances, horizontal mode would be buggy and wouldn’t stay how I wanted it to visually. However when I look back the footage comes back good. It is like shooting something blind. (Even on low quality settings). Update: for a long term usage, i noticed some flaws: Using 4K 60fps Prores, the foltage often comes out as 16-24 fps and really choppy. It screwed my wedding footage… apps were closed, even restarted my phone before using the app.. It works great, still trying to learn the application controls. I can only suggest 2 features which would make it a 5* application: - be able to record in 60 FPS in 4K 10bit SDR (not just HDR) - be able to record the video with crop or black bars in 10 bit HDR, not just view the bars during filming I would really appreciate if you could develop these features. And no help from support, Avoid ### 1/5 — Not for photographers. *2025-07-28, version 1.23* This app may be great for people looking to shoot video, but for photography it is severely lacking in useful functions. No presets so you have to redo all the settings for every shoot and you can’t even zoom to the iPhone’s 2X center sensor. It’s either .5x, 1x, or 5x—no other zooming at all. It seems Photo Mode was just tacked on as an afterthought. And since you have to pay upfront, there’s no way to know this until you plunk down the cash. ### 1/5 — Catastrophique *2025-06-11* Écran noir les 90% du temps… le but d’un téléphone est de pouvoir filmer rapidement. I needed to use it to change the shutter speed for shooting a green screen. I can only give it 4 stars though because if I’m gonna be recording it in the best quality possible, then I’m gonna want to be able to record to an external drive. Would recommend!
