### 4/5 — Used this app for years

*2022-05-09*

I use the rhythm pie a lot for explaining note lengths to my students. The other games are great as well. I’m so glad this is still on the App Store!

### 1/5 — Bad app

*2020-11-05*

Not user friendly and not what I was hoping for. I wish I could get my .99 cents back.

### 4/5 — Useful & Fun For Lessons

*2019-10-24*

I can’t speak for what this app was like 3 years ago as another review says, but now it is a very useful training tool. I am mostly using the Note Recognition game but the other ones are useful as well. It makes lessons fun for the student. After they identify the rhythm correctly by ear, have them play it, then faster, then across the toms. Have them play it on the kick then play count 2 and 4 on the snare. If you get creative, you can take these games to another level and you don’t have to write out a bunch of rhythms that they can’t listen to later.

### 1/5 — Needs work

*2016-05-07*

(1) The game didn't acknowledge correct answers (I'm a music educator)
(2) It didn't advance to the next level
(3) It's not intuitive
(4) I couldn't find any instructions
(5) I could tell there were ideas but nothing was fleshed out to a point of usability

### 3/5 — Good beginner app

*2016-01-02*

I got this app to drill myself on note values. I’m an amateur musician and doing pretty well but need help with sight reading due to dyslexia. This app is good but pretty basic.

Generally, I’d like to see increasing difficulty as the levels increase. At this point there is no increase in difficulty as you go up. Also, the sounds are not great.

In the music math drills I’d like to see a “this = that” sort of thing. Right now it’s straight addition but an additional drill that showed you a dotted half note, for example, and then showed a bunch of potential equivalencies to choose from would be great at helping people make direct connections between notes and their equivalent rests as well as 1 quarter = 4 16ths, etc.

In the pie drills, it’s pretty hard to mess up. There is only one possible answer and it would be cool to see multiple options so you could put a quarter note in or 4 16ths for example. Currently, those options only even appear after you have finished a particular drill.
