Many good samples, many good sounds, the metronome clock is very very useful. The design is not as good as the sound and functionalities and could be improved: the wooden background is ugly. Perhaps introducing some skins? Look at the elegant Flametro... Still highly recommended ### 3/5 — Crash *2011-09-01* Very great app. But it crash very often. Need some debugging. ### 3/5 — Almost there *2010-12-30* Great app! As a musician I love creating original beats and then moving them to other applications for further recording and mixing. My only complaint is that the app randomly crashes sometimes. Sometimes it's on playback sometimes it's when selecting a new pattern from the list...seems like a memory issue somewhere (since it's random). I tried it on 2 different iPads with similar results. It's still usable, but the crashes are annoying and sometimes when I re-launch the app it does not save my progress. Please update and I will give it 5 stars. ### 4/5 — True multitasking drum machine with unique rhythmic features *2010-12-24, version 1.3* I believe this is one of the very few drum sequencers on the iPad that actually will multitask in the background. This means you can set a rhythmic pattern playing and then switch to another multitasking synth (such as miniSynth Pro or Thumbjam) and play over the drums! An unusual feature also of this drum sequencer is its ability to handle complex world rhythmic feels such as flamenco, latin styles and triple velocity settings for each beat. Truly amazing drum sequencer, I got it at special 50% discount price over Xmas but its worth every penny even at full price. The app comes with a large selection of patterns, many different genres and also quite a number of different drum sounds. My only wish is that more drum sounds become available and with higher bit rates as some of the drum sounds do lack that hifi quality punch and sizzle. I would also like to see some effects such as reverb and more control over levels of instruments. Definitely a recommended app though, especially given its multitasking abilities! It does though feature adjustable EQ and you can export the patterns as audio files. There is also an online file area built in where you can share and download other users patterns from all over the world. If the usual dance and house beat makers aren't your thing, then I would definitely give this app a go for its wide range of styles and creative features. ### 3/5 — Percussion *2010-11-13, version 0* Schon ganz nett... Ich wünsch mir aber noch, das ich während des Abspielens die Events verschieben bzw. editieren kann. Und eine Linie, die während des Abspielens von Links nach Rechts mit läuft. Und dann noch bitte eine Funktion die es mir erlaubt das ganze als Midi-File zu exportieren damit ich es in Logic Studio oder Cubase weiterverarbeiten kann. Very nice interface. Makes the iPad an indispensable music creation tool. You can export the rhythms to audio files and use them as backup loops, or play them from the iPad (better to have an external speaker). Comes loaded with tons of rhythms and there are many more to download online, it's nice to see what others are creating using the app. Very easy to create rhythms up to 16 beats, and you can place beats with precise timing like sixteenths or triplets. You can also make a sequence of rhythms play together to create a complete song. Juste trois couleurs pour les accents... Ergonomie défiant l'intelligence autant que la logique. Aux vues des dernières applis daw etc... Celle ci tient de la préhistoire. En résumé une daube a très cher. Sortez donc cette honte de ce store ou améliorez la. Merci ### 1/5 — Disappointed. *2011-06-13, version 1.7* It's ok ish, buy certainly not worth the nearly nine quid it's currently selling for. Far to feature thin for that price but the real big problem is that you can't set time signature. It only plays back in 4:4. That's an enormous omission. It's apps like th.is make me wish the app store did refunds. Disappointed. ### 1/5 — Boooo *2011-02-15, version 1.3.10* Just wasted ten minutes learning this by programming a beat for it to crash on me, the app close and the beat sequence lost. Good one!!!!! ### 2/5 — Very good but one problem *2011-05-10* Great app, does everything and more than I expected. Nice presets which are easily customizable and easy interface. Great for a beginner but also has enough for the experienced musician. One problem which ruins the app is the export beat feature. The whole point of using an app like this is to lay a beat, then export it to something like Garage Band, Aplitude, or Ampkit. Once fixed, I will change my rating to 5 stars. Since the program crashes every time I try to copy the file, or just do nothing when i try to add my beat to iTunes, the app has become useless to me. I expected an app that was this expensive to be well developed and continually updated. I know an update just came out but your development team should focus on fixing one of the most important features of the program you already have instead of just adding more and making small tweaks (not that the new features aren't nice). ### 2/5 — Needs better documentation *2010-08-06* Just can't get this to work..... ### 3/5 — Where's the download option? *2018-02-25, version 2.4.1* Looks interesting but can't find any download option on the interface. Should be next to Song menu item but not there. ### 3/5 — A cheap shot! *2015-01-03* The iPad and iPhone versions are sold separately!! That is just plain greed. The cost of both is $30 even though they are the same platform IOS with the only difference being the screen size. Plus the app is just plain ugly. It looks like some old Windows app. To make matters worse, may of the functions and interactions are just plain dump and follow no standard. The app does work and there are some interesting rhythm files. Redesign the interface, fix the bugs, and don’t hide the cost by charging twice as much for both platform and I’ll review again. ### 3/5 — Not bad.....but *2013-10-29, version 2.3.2* I don't understand why MIDI hasn't been implemented. If you like odd time signatures or just want to be able to place a beat exactly where you want it, then this app is the only choice. It's easy to use and it tells you the notation as you place each beat, which can be any where you like. It's perfect for every style of music, and it really does offer a lot more scope than any other drum app. There is more choice with drum sounds and building complete drum parts for songs has never been easier. You can tell a lot of thought and passion has gone into creating this machine. It helps you put the realism back into your digitally created music. I had great support from them and that is an essential component in the quality of any product. The app is really robust and it's feature set is impressive for this kind of application.
