Need attention from the developer. *2026-08-13, version 8.833.13* There are definitely good things about this app’s functionality, but there’s some things that one should consider before choosing it - the app (sounds and actual app bug fixes) is updated very infrequently, the cost is too high compared to other comparable options on the market, and, for me, when I originally bought the Lifetime access it included “family sharing”, but it doesn’t anymore making what I paid even more expensive since I am now the only family member who can use the full app. ### 3/5 — Great substance, unstable app *2026-06-04, version 8.833.13* I love the contents of this app. The mobile app works great. The problem for me is that I mostly use this app on my iPad, and it crashes constantly. Some of the categories cannot be accessed on the tablet app at all. Very frustrating. Please update and fix this! I’ve had a subscription for years, why no update for a whole year now?? ### 4/5 — Lovely app, but has an issue with continuing playback. *2025-05-24, version 8.833.13* Probably my favorite app for soundscapes/binaural beats, but there’s an issue I encounter when pausing with Bluetooth headphones/buds. When I pause from them, and press play, nothing plays. It says it’s playing, but it is not. I have to exit the session and open it again to continue. Can mess with your flow. Love the art and the selection, but I hope this bug can be fixed sooner than later. ### 3/5 — I use to love the app *2025-05-17, version 8.833.13* I use to love the app so much, I still use it daily but the constant crashes need to be addressed, often times you have to settle for a beat because it crashes a million times while looking for the one you actually need/want. If that’s addressed this is literally a 5 star app worth every penny of the yearly membership cost. It almost seems like the company was bought by someone else relatively recently and the quality has gone down substantially. I used to love this app and paid for the fair price of $2.99 a month. If my phone locks it stops playing as well. It was never like this before. The music cannot restart, you have to restart the app, pushing play isn’t going to do it. It’s frustrating because it’s my “peace” app and it truly is hands down the best to get to in the right headspace. Also it wouldn’t hurt for the tracks to be a little longer but again I don’t mind it because I’m ready to take on the world with Beatfulness! It’s kind of like that one friend that is always doing unintentionally annoying things but adds sooo much goodness to your life- that’s Beatfulness!🥰 ### 5/5 — My favourite app on my device. *2025-01-14, version 8.0.7* Beatfulness is often one of the best parts of my day. It brings me great peace, focus, and helps me bring my attention to my goals. Helps me stay on track with meditation and enjoy more & connect to more of the process I’m trying to practice. ### 4/5 — Affirmations Added *2024-12-11, version 8.0.4* I love affirmations but if Beatfulness organizes it’s tones based on intentions, why do the affirmations seem random and not at all connected to the focus of the tone? Been using this app for years and I miss the background without the affirmations. For example I started listening to the Focus and Creativity tone and the affirmation read: “What hurts you blesses you. Darkness is your candle”…that is a kind of disturbing and loaded affirmation and not even close to inspiring a creative and focused state of mind. This is a great app for setting intention but the affirmations are taking away from the clear path toward intentionality the app used to have. Update: The changes to the app haven’t improved the experience :( You all even got rid of the short descriptions of the intentions of each beat and the affirmations feel so random. Also, it looks like you all are offering less beats. It’s disappointing when changes are made to something you enjoy and the changes don’t improve the experience. ### 5/5 — Great app *2024-11-09, version 8.0.4* Love this app just wish they would bring back a 45 minute session ### 2/5 — Poor upgrade *2024-11-08, version 8.0.4* The new upgrade is unfortunate, you can't search for beats anymore. Looking forward to the next update ### 2/5 — Not for me *2024-08-04, version 8.0.4* Most of the critical reviews for this are primarily about functionality. I had no problem with functions. My criticism is that this sort of app just isn’t my thing. I read on some medical web sites that binaural tones were beneficial for deep sleep, which for whatever reason I don’t get enough of in my sleep cycle (according to my smart watch app). So this app has one such sound but the rest are New Age type sounds I’d expect to hear walking into a candle, crystal and power vortex guidebook store in Sedona. Listening to those sounds just doesn’t do anything for me nor did the one true binaural sound do anything to improve my sleep. I wasn’t expecting to be told I was spreading misinformation by stating my experience with the app. I lowered to 1 star because… well. Wow. I already paid for access in the past and the app now wants me to pay a new price point for new access. No, I don’t get the normal option of loading previous purchases. You don’t have to believe me, but this is why I’m leaving the review I am leaving. The app is not what it used to be. You get to make money now when in the beginning users were sold on a free meditation music option and promises to never “sell out.” ——— It pains me to leave this review after being a user for so long…. I started using this app when it was completely free and a labor of love. I’ve paid money for this app more than once over the years for the new iterations forced on users and evolution of the apps versions designs and styling…but then today when I went to use the app after some heavy weeks of life and all of my data was deleted (again) and I’m being asked to sign up for a payment plan. Downloads gone. Hours/years of meditations recorded, gone. This is utterly heartbreaking because I remember the love and dedication shown in that first app and how the creator just wanted the sounds/music to help people. I’ve paid more than enough for this experience…. I’m saddened by this step and how it is putting up a brand new pay wall all the while not honoring the people who *have already paid in previous versions* and have been with the creator from the start. Off to find new people to support. It has a mindfulness vibe, and the tones are “just right” for what I’m trying to achieve, whether it’s a morning meditation to start the day or focus while working or healing/recovery, I can always count on the variety of songs to find what I need. The app works great too, always smooth and never crashes.
