Past tense. Now none of my purchases will download and I can’t buy anything at all. Neat app but it’s way too old at this point and breaking down. ### 2/5 — The worst user library file system ever *2026-01-31, version 2.2.16* This is truly a great app but......I loaded a pack from audio copy didn't think they would load all the sounds individually thought it would load them in folders nope. Now I got 200 files I need to move to a folder I create cool no biggie but then there's no drag and drop, no select all no nothing. So then I create new folders had to name them like audio copy (arrab muzik, trap, kicks...) figured all that out then I remembered oh I need to delete the 200 files from the first pack I downloaded bruh I have to double tap the file and delete each one individually lmmfnao really. I would be faster to uninstall the app then reinstall to delete all the unwanted files I uploaded. I hope I'm not doing right cause I like this app but the work flow sucks because of the file system. Pas intuitif du tout… des gros progrès à faire pour améliorer l’importation de samples. Galéré aussi quand on change d’iPad pour récupérer ses samples ### 3/5 — Lacks single note guitars *2025-11-08, version 2.2.16* We need fully playable single note guitars, as well as banjo/mandolin ### 4/5 — Intuitive, great sounds and rich in functionality *2025-05-23* This is a cleverly designed app that has some similarities in approach to Maschine. It’s fun to use and has easy to follow graphical documentation. There are some decent sound libraries available and it is possible to import one shot samples. J’ai même acheté un pack qui refuse de s’installer ### 4/5 — Among The Best!!! *2024-12-28, version 2.2.16* Beathawk is by far one of the most amazing music workstations apps available! The sound collection is beyond worthy by themselves. The 4 stars is because it’s not a full fledged DAW where you can add plugins or do much automation. But it’s AUv3 and that’s giant! Don’t sleep on this beast!!! ### 4/5 — Top Notch and Still My Go To *2024-09-01* Great app and done right and very stable. Very responsive when contacted for app fixes and ideas. Would love to see some expansion to the sampler since it was ahead if it’s time when it came out but now it needs refreshment. Love to see where this app can continue to go and grow, maybe a built-in synth from your collection of products. I love iaps but a synth would be awesome and as a paid iap and would go a long way with the au capabilities as that also makes beathawk strong in Logic Pro. The piano roll is still a little difficult to see pending on the light situation. One more request would be to allow chords progressions and being able to play the pads as keys versus just a piano. Hopefully there is a big update on the way for that fifth star. ### 4/5 — The developers have done their job. *2024-08-27, version 2.2.16* There r changes to BeatHawk saving & storage features. U can now save and open cloud files. ### 4/5 — Some great sounds, could use work *2024-08-02* I bought this not as a groove box (Koala probably a better choice?) but for some great UVI sounds no one else has on iOS. The Wurlitzer is easily worth the price of admission, I wasn’t able to find decent Classical Percussion anywhere else, and the Acoustic Drums has round robins which I wasn’t able to find elsewhere on iOS. However, the Acoustic Drums is only one kit with a heavy Rock Ride and everything is compressed and EQd to within an inch of its life. So need to tame that in spots which is hard, this is produced for beginners at mixing I suppose, the “finished sound” idea. Well, not finished for everything. Encouraged, I tried the Woodwinds, they are a total disaster, I was able to somewhat save the flutes and clarinets with the envelopes but for some buggy reason the envelopes don’t apply to the oboes. The woodwinds samples pan themselves all over the place, awful primitive sounds, should have a demo mode like Korg Module has to avoid bitter commentary. You can’t even see what you get in these packs. I will have to pay for SWAM I suppose. The Rhodes isn’t as good as the Wurli, I suppose they are being kind to partner VTines which is a lot more costly. I am not so interested in the rest of the offerings the Woodwinds ruined it for me. I have an awful lot of UVI on desktop so I had some hopes here, they clearly have the Falcon engine ported across, maybe Logic will bring enough business for them to get interested in iOS again. But I am happy with the wurli and classical percussion available in AUM via AUv3. The current colors clash and the keyboard design is horrible. The app has potential but its age is definitely showing. The UI looks like it hasn’t been updated since 2006. Samples sound horrible as the app insists on using a 9600 hz sample rate instead of 48,000 like all other daws. Too much time wasted with this app trying to figure out why it doesn’t work. The sounds in this app are amazing, I’ve purchased several expansions. I typically use it as an AUV3 and it also has a great standalone workflow. The app is still very stable for me, though it would be encouraging to see updates. I also noticed this app is no longer shown on your website. Please keep it alive!! ### 5/5 — Still Awesome *2025-12-05* In the last few months I have bought and used many music creation apps. For some reason I only recently found this old but excellent app. It has quickly become one of my top tools alongside Koala, Korg Gadgets, and GrooveRider. Excellent sound and very good IAPs. My only complaint would be the colors and text size makes it hard on my eyes. Everytime i go to finish a song i barely have to touch a thing. ### 5/5 — My Favorite Beatmaking App *2025-03-10* I love this app. It’s high quality, you can buy tons of packs, interfaces well with my DAW and has low latency. I especially love that you can import your own samples for a unique sound that’s all your own. I’m concerned though that BeatHawk hasn’t been updated for 2 yrs and that eventually Apple will take the app off of its store or that it won’t be keeping up with new changes in my iOS and my DAW. UVI if you’re out there, please respond! ### 5/5 — Sehr gute App *2025-01-08* Ich benutze die App für meine Backing- und Drum Tracks seit Jahren. Binde auch eigene Samples ein. Funktioniert wunderbar. Ich wünschte noch eigene Namen für die Patterns wie Intro Brigde usw. und zusätzliche Spuren im Songmodus für Midi und Audio, aber vielleicht kommt das noch später. Jetzt exportiere ich zu Cubasis oder nehme BeatHawk Tracks gleich in Cubasis auf. Für mich die beste Drumapp überhaupt. They have such amazing products, and top notch customer service!! ### 5/5 — Still does the trick. *2024-09-10* This app hasn’t been updated in 2 years, no new content or features. No nothing. And yet this is my favorite app to start a track on. I really wish more music making apps and DAWs would take inspiration from this one’s song mode. It also takes the 16 pad workflow and simplifies it in a way that still lets you make full tracks, but is cleaner and more to the point. This app is sample based, and has THE best in App Store content of any other music making app. Especially when that content goes on sale (which it still does a few times a year). The sampler itself is pretty simplistic and and can’t compete with something like Koala, but it is serviceable enough, and the downloadable sounds and fast workflow make this an app to not pass up. ### 5/5 — Du Grand Art. *2024-01-14* Enfin une appli sonore bien pensée et bien réalisée.
