## What is Beathive?

THE WHOLE SCENE, IN ONE APP
Beatbox moves fast and it moves everywhere. A battle in Tokyo, a jam in Paris, a showcase in Sao Paulo, a workshop two streets away. Beathive puts all of it in one place, so you stop finding out about the night you missed the morning after.

FIND YOUR NEXT NIGHT
Browse battles, shows, jams and workshops around you or anywhere in the world. Filter by country, see what is selling out, and like the ones you are eyeing so they are waiting for you when payday lands. Every event shows you who is hosting it and what people said about their last one, so you know exactly what you are walking into.

TICKETS IN A FEW TAPS
Pick your ticket, pay with Apple Pay or your card, done. Free events RSVP in one tap. The price you see is the price you pay: no booking fee, no service fee, nothing bolted on at checkout. Your ticket lives in the app as a QR code. Show it at the door and you are in. Not a PDF in sight.

THE PART BETWEEN THE SHOWS
Beatbox does not stop when the lights come up. Post about yourself, get into it in the replies, and follow only the channels you care about: solo, tag team, crew, loopstation, gear, beginners, memes,.... One feed, from the people who just started to the ones you queue up on repeat.

PUT ON YOUR OWN EVENT
Anyone can host on Beathive. Publish an event, set your ticket types and your own currency, and start selling in minutes. No subscription and nothing to pay up front. Scan tickets at the door, keep the guestlist moving, and bring in volunteers to help you run the night. Backstage shows you sold, available and checked in, live, and your payout goes straight to your bank account after the event.

WHEREVER YOU ARE
Beathive works all over the world. Organizers sell in their own currency, fans buy from anywhere, and the app speaks your language, from Japanese and Korean to French and Latin American Spanish, with more added over time.

From the community, to the community, shaped by your feedback and requests. Open the app and find your next battle.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 0.10.0 — 2026-09-09

The feature board is here: see what is planned, what is being built and what has already shipped, and vote on what you want next. Announcements from Beathive now stay pinned at the top of your feed.

== What's new ==
• Feature board: See what is planned, what is being built and what has already shipped, vote the ideas you want up or down, and send in your own from the same screen. Known bugs sit there too, so you can check before reporting one.
• Introducing new channels: Releases & General.
• Pinned announcements: Anything important from Beathive now stays at the top of your feed instead of scrolling out of sight.
• Ads settings: A new Ads row in Settings reopens the consent form, so you can change or withdraw personalized ads at any time.

== Improvements ==
• Reply box: Your text now stops short of the character count and the send button instead of sliding underneath them.

== Fixes ==
• Spotify links: An artist's Spotify link now saves properly in your social links, and the field names what it read, artist, album, playlist or track.
• Keyboard on Android: The reply box no longer hides behind the keyboard while you write a comment.
• Sheet buttons: A button at the bottom of a sheet now rides up with the keyboard instead of sitting behind it.

Your feedback means a lot to us and helps shape Beathive. You can always reach out through the app. If you're enjoying the experience, we'd love it if you left us a rating and review.

### 0.9.0 — 2026-09-05

Beathive is out on Android, so the whole community is finally in one place. The feed lost its language barrier too: anything written in a language you do not read gets a translate line under it, and your own phone does the translating. Organizers can now say entry is free or paid at the door, without setting up tickets at all.

== What's new ==
• Beathive on Android: The app is out on Android, with everything the iPhone version does. Same events, same tickets, same feed.
• Translate as you read: A post, reply or event description written in another language gets a See translation line under it. Tap it and the text switches, tap See original to go back. Your phone does the translating itself, so nothing you read is sent anywhere and it keeps working offline. It only appears where your device can do the work.
• Organizers: Three more ways in. Next to Beathive tickets and an external link, an event can now be free entry with no limit, pay at the door, or carry no ticket info at all.

== Improvements ==
• Post a photo on its own: A post no longer needs any words. A picture, a GIF or an event is a post by itself.
• Events without a photo: A proper Beathive tile now stands in for a missing event photo, on the card, in the grid and on the event page.
• The ticketing and payout system had a large rework underneath, so sales, refunds and payouts land more reliably.
• Updated FAQ: New answers on translating posts, and on how people get into an event.
• Small design improvements across the app

### 0.8.0 — 2026-09-02

Events you hold a ticket for now have a rail of their own on the Events tab, and your ticket is one tap away from any event page. Your ticket list says plainly what is coming up, what was refunded and what is off. And liking an event is a choice again: buying a ticket no longer does it for you.

== What's new ==
• Attending: Every event you hold a ticket for, in a rail of its own on the Events tab with the full list behind it. Soonest first, and an event drops off once it is over.
• Organizers: Introducing new event categories: National championships, Online battles and training.
• Introducing new channels: Grand Beatbox Battle & World championship.
• Organizers: Our share is now 5%. Beathive takes 5% of what is left after payment processing, and that stays the only thing we charge. No booking fee bolted onto your ticket price, no fixed amount per ticket sold, no monthly plan, so a cheap ticket is never eaten by a flat fee the way it is elsewhere.
• Sharing card: Share the event you like or want to promote to Instagram, TikTok, Whatsapp, Facebook, Messages,... any place you like and want to.

== Improvements ==
• Liked is yours again: Buying a ticket no longer adds the event to your liked ones. Attending covers that now.
• Your ticket from the event page: An event you hold a ticket for shows a My Tickets button, so you do not have to go looking in the Tickets tab.
• Clearer ticket list: A row says Refunded or Cancelled when that is what happened.
• Organizers: Creating or editing an event can no longer be swiped away by accident, so a half-filled form and its photos survive a stray gesture.
• Organizers: Dates that make sense. A start or end time in the past comes back with a plain message instead of a silent failure.
• Organizers: Becoming an organizer became much easier and much more clear with a redesigned flow.
• Order history and release notes: Tidier rows in both, with the same status marks the rest of the app uses.
• Small UI improvements to the event creation sheet.
• Reworked the Beathive payment system to be more reliable.
• Updated the FAQ with all countries we support as ticketing platform. External ticketing is available for every organizer worldwide.

== Fixes ==
• Reply previews: A post whose repliers have no profile picture shows their initials under it, instead of an empty row of faces.

### 0.7.0 — 2026-08-28

Organizers keep more of every ticket now that our cut drops to 4%, and an event can show a full gallery instead of a single image. You can also mention people in the feed, and every release now lands in the app so you can see exactly what changed.

== Whats new ==
• Organizers: A smaller cut. Our share of every paid ticket drops from 10% to 4%, so more of the ticket price lands in your payout.
• Organizers: Up to 10 photos per event. Add them in the order you want, at the 16:9 size the event page is built for, plus a square thumbnail for cards, lists and ticket emails.
• Event photos: Swipe through the whole gallery on the event page, and tap any photo to open it full screen.
• Mentions: Type @ in a post or a reply to bring someone in. They get a notification, so the conversation reaches them.
• Release notes: Every release available to read from Help on your profile.
