### 4/5 — Good tracker

*2023-02-17, version 2.5*

The tracking system is nice, though the scanning function doesn’t work. I still use it though! Very helpful to keep track of when I open something!

### 4/5 — Missing some…

*2022-02-09, version 2.5*

I’ve been using this app for a long time
Actually I think there should be an update cause it seems some brands have changed the system of their batch codes
and some brands’ batch codes that I can check with checkfresh and checkcosmetics websites are not recognized by beauty keeper☹️

### 3/5 — Why isn’t it working anymore?

*2022-01-03, version 2.5*

I’ve used this app for over a year and my FAVORITE part was the batch codes but now they don’t work. It always says “internal service error.” I’m SO UPSET! Please give us an update as to why this app is no longer working- I paid for it and have loved using it. There’s nothing else like it.

### 3/5 — Potential

*2021-09-20, version 2.5*

It looks like this app doesn’t have support from reading some reviews which is a big negative, some people saying they paid but are having issue or they can’t trust the expiration dates given. I didn’t know you got only 10 items till you had to pay but ok but it seems like quite a few brands are missing, having trouble when I put in some of the codes system error. Anyway I think this app would be great if they kept adding brands,I was able to put in all my items, manually takes forever if possible to go by scanning barcode that the item pops up but I have so many samples right now too that this app would be great to keep track of everything. Add more brands, perhaps a scanner, would be great to have the option to notify you prior to expiration for example my samples some of them have expiration dates would like to put those in&get a 3month notification before they expire(unless the option is there&i missed it). This is perfect for someone that gets the skincare boxes with samples&ends up with 30 because of course I’d like to use them prior&not all have expiration dates on them so if were able to use the batch code&pull it up it would be great for those sample&full size product buyers like myself.

### 4/5 — Great app, needs a few more brands added

*2021-09-10, version 2.5*

I love this app so much! I use lots of different products but sometimes some get pushed to the back and forgotten about. This app helps me keep track of what brands I use, when I bought it, and when it’s going to expire. I just wish Rare Beauty was in this app. I use a few of their products but they are not in this app’s system yet so it makes it hard.

### 3/5 — Missing brands and lacks organizational features

*2021-08-01, version 2.5*

The premise of this app is good. I’m glad I have it. However, it is missing some major brands, such as Colourpop, Tarte, Huda Beauty, etc. Would love to see major makeup brands added.

I wish that there was a way to collapse categories so you don’t have to view them. For example, if I want to look at skincare, I have to scroll through every single makeup product I entered. I wish I could collapse that category for efficiency.

I also wish there was a way to sort within a category for expiration dates. I subscribe to a couple of major subscription boxes, which means I have skincare galore in backups. I wish I could see what moisturizer/serum/eye cream was going to expire next so that I know to use that one next when I use one up.

It would be nice if there was an empties or trash category too. If you have to through away a foundation because it expired (for example) I wish it let you save it somewhere so you could get the shade/finish again. But that is small potatoes compared to other features it’s lacking.

The premise of this app is great. It’s just missing features that seem like the next logical step after entering.

### 5/5 — Easy to use and convenient

*2020-12-18, version 2.5*

I’ve collected so many beauty products from different subscriptions, free sample, and just items I love to use. I like that this app keeps inventory of my products, including when they expire so I know exactly what needs to be replaced. Very convenient and helped me get rid of older products.

### 4/5 — Good App, but Missing Something

*2020-11-11, version 2.5*

I find this app very useful, since it helps me keep track of when my products are expiring. However, the app doesn’t have a button that says “finished.” Therefore, a finished product will not be placed in the “replace” list. Please add that so it’s more convenient.

### 4/5 — Excellent reference tool

*2020-09-17, version 2.5*

Perfect to keep track of your beauty products with expiration dates. I gave it 4 stars only because not all brands I use are included yet. But I own plenty of products from the ones that are included, so it has turned out a really good tool to use. Maybe as a future update rolls out, include a button to mark that a product is completely used up but keep it in our list as a reference for future purchases? Just an idea :)

### 4/5 — Keeps accurate log. Needs more brands.

*2020-08-25, version 2.5*

I like the reminder feature, especially now when I’m not wearing makeup as frequently. It had helped me know long it takes to use things vs how long they are good for. They have a decent number of brands but I still have products I have to enter myself bc the brand is supported.

### 5/5 — Super useful app

*2020-08-03, version 2.5*

It’s important to know when your beauty products expire especially for us beauty gurus out there that always by the latest and greatest skincare etc. This app is easy to use and always reminds you of expirations! I definitely recommend it!

### 3/5 — Needs more brands, but good for decluttering/shopping

*2020-06-16, version 2.5*

I like the general idea of this app, however there are not enough makeup brands. Many of the very popular high end brands, like tarte, kvd beauty, colour pop, first aid beauty, etc. are not on this app. I noticed after reading other reviews people have been saying this for years, so I’m assuming they don’t have intentions on adding anymore brands.

Other than that, this app is great for decluttering your makeup collection, and I’ve heard people use it when buying makeup from stores like TJ Maxx or Marshall’s to make sure the makeup there isn’t expired! I’d recommend to others, just needs some improvement.

### 5/5 — Saved me from buying 8 yrs old makeup

*2020-04-26, version 2.5*

I love this app, I’ve bought a few things & then to received it & it smells old & then seller argued with me,saying it’s not old, well now I can check & I was just gonna buy a benefit kit from a seller & when I checked w/beauty finder it was produced 8 years ago & said it was best before 5 years ago. I was shocked but happy to have this app. It saved me from spending money on old makeup& an uncomfortable interaction w/the seller. Thanks so much. This is 5 stars to me & 5 thumbs up🤗

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Very Disappointed

*2022-03-20, version 2.5*

I downloaded the app specifically to obtain manufacture dates so I can figure out expiration dates. I sell on eBay and have to provide accurate information on my listings. I tried 5 different products: 2 from same cosmetic line and 3 from different ones. Every single one said that there was an internal error and information not found. The brands I tried are extremely well known. They were in their product search but that was it. I don’t know how this app has any positive reviews. It does not work!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t keep photo of product in app

*2022-01-19, version 2.5*

I love this app. I would give it a 10 but every time I put a photo of the product in the frame it gives you. I save the entry, and the time I look at it, all the photos of every product I’ve entered is gone !! It doesn’t exist. And I PAID for this feature to have more products added. Why hasn’t this been fixed ? It’s very frustrating. If/when you fix this, I will change my rating.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2018-12-25, version 2.5*

This app was horrible and I deleted it soon after trying it. They didn’t have many popular brands like Tarte and cover fx, so when u want to check the dates you can’t because they don’t have the brand. It also wasn’t accurate at all. It was saying my benefit palette that was JUST released was made in 2014 which isn’t possible considering the product was just released. Don’t trust the app don’t waste your time.

### 2/5 — App is 4 yrs out of date, still partially useful

*2023-04-22*

This app hasn’t been updated in 4 years. And it shows. This is the best app for this service I was able to find when searching 2 months ago. That’s sad since this one isn’t supported anymore. I am still using it, but sure would be nice if this one was brought up to date or someone else made a more appropriate version, without charging a high fee or monthly subscription.
The lists are visually cluttered and it would be nice to have a picture of the product on the list so it’s easy to pick the item to update or verify the expiration date.
I didn’t buy this $2 app for the batch info, but it would be great to actually be able to use it. I assume it returns error messages because it’s no longer up to date.

### 2/5 — Great concept but can’t find anything

*2021-05-12, version 2.5*

I love makeup and skincare plus couponing and doing reviews. Mix those things together and you end up with A LOT of product. When I saw the information for this app in an article I read, I loved the concept! I was just about to purge everything and donate to a bunch of different shelters. I wanted to make sure that I didn’t give away anything expired. After an hour of trying to look up products, I had yet to even find one. I can see some products not being listed but at this point I had tried to look up at least 100 different items. I kept the app for a few weeks to keep trying and I still haven’t been able to locate even one product.

I think this is one of the best app ideas I have seen in awhile. I do hope there are some updates in the future so I am able to use it but for the time being, I am going to delete for extra space on my phone.

### 2/5 — Incorrect product information

*2018-04-16, version 2.4*

I just purchased a new lipstick from Too Face new beauty collection called Fairy Tears. It’s new. The collection was just released. When I tried to add it to the beauty keeper app it was coming up that it expired in 2014. I also have a Clinique set that Beauty keeper says is expired but on another website says it’s still good. I actually purchased the app so I can keep all my beauty products up to date. I don’t trust this app. It gives wrong information. The app obviously isn’t correct. They should fix this. I am disappointed.

### 2/5 — Practically useless without paying

*2018-04-02, version 2.4*

There is a ten item limit on the free version. I’m just going to guess that most people have at least double that amount of products. Also, most of the brands I use, even very well-known brands aren’t even on the app so I can’t check their batch codes. For the second reason, I don’t see why purchasing is worth it.

### 3/5 — Wish this app was supported and updated

*2022-12-08, version 2.5*

I’ve been using this app for years to keep track of makeup purchases and inventory now that Snupps is no longer around. I wish this app was updated to support more codes from more brands and add more brands for easier use.

### 3/5 — Not enough supported products

*2022-01-18, version 2.5*

It is a good app to keep track of everything you have but a lot of the stuff i own it cant support or none of the brands pop up. I wish it’s something they would fix honestly. Other then that pretty decent.

### 3/5 — Please fix the bugs in the app

*2022-01-16, version 2.5*

I love this app and paid for it. Recently it gives out an error and I know it's something in the backend did not connect with the database. I'm a web developer and this makes me feel uncomfortable both personal and professionally. Please fix it 🥲!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Please upgrade to the newest iOS version

*2022-12-02, version 2.5*

Please upgrade to the newest iOS version so I don’t have to lose all my data when I upgrade my iOS.

### 5/5 — Was wonderful while it worked

*2021-12-23, version 2.5*

I’ve used this app for a year or 2 & loved it. Suddenly it doesn’t work anymore. To be sure it wasn’t just the new batch codes I was trying to check I went ahead and checked some that went through just fine 2 weeks earlier. Those wouldn’t work either. Internal error no matter what I did. In uninstalled the app & reinstalled it. No good. I guess this app is no longer supported. I actually paid for this one, so I’m really sad about it.

### 5/5 — This app is what I needed!

*2021-09-15, version 2.5*

I was originally only want to search for expire date and I am glad to see the expired date. It can even let you choose if you open today, what’s the suggested expiration! And I can even add that search to my list!!! That’s really helpful! Love this!

The only thing is some of the Korean big brands that can be bought from Sephora is not in the system but most of the US or European brand I am able to find it. Hope in the future can add more Korean or Japanese brands, e.g. belif, Dr. Jart, etc.

Overall, I really love this app!

### 5/5 — Great AP keeps my on check

*2021-08-22, version 2.5*

The best AP although I had to add another few features. It’s a great AP that keeps my makeup, skincare and other products on check and reminder when it’s close to expiration.

### 5/5 — Best Spent Money

*2021-08-02, version 2.5*

I have tons of beauty products, and try to stick to their expiration date but always fail. This is by far the best app I’ve experienced, and totally worth the money. They have so many different brand options, but my favorite part is you can add a brand if they don’t have it. I use a lot of smaller clean beauty companies, and being able to add it to make it easier for next time is a life saver.

### 5/5 — Absolutely LOVE!

*2021-05-25, version 2.5*

I’m so glad I found this app! I threw away 20+ beauty products that I had for a while because I didn’t know they expired! Definitely recommend this app 🙂

### 5/5 — Love this ap!

*2021-05-11, version 2.5*

This app is awesome because it shows you the shelflife of products that you purchase. I get a lot of my beauty products at places like T.J. Maxx and marshals and it’s good to know that they carry product that is not expired

### 5/5 — Love this App!!

*2021-03-20, version 2.5*

I love how I can determine how old a product is. I once ordered a brow product online (Amazon)...it was 10 years old and past it’s prime!
I also found a popular store (Ulta) that carried old product on their shelves.
I no longer keep old makeup, shampoo etc past it’s expiration date.

### 5/5 — Beauty keeper

*2021-03-10, version 2.5*

I have been meaning to document all the products I used over the years and would like to do something w my personal data in the future. Possible blogger

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2021-01-14, version 2.5*

This comes in really handy if you’re into makeup! It keeps track of expiration dates! But also can keep track of all you makeup and you can even put notes in with what shade you use!
