### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2021-12-19, version 1.1.0*

Beautyrest Black is the top of the line product. Being able to control the bed via my iPhone is an awesome option. Unfortunately this app is terrible, unable to sign in, sometimes the email address and password field are not visible, the password reset does not work. So disappointing.

### 1/5 — Requires 2 Amazon accounts to control 2 sides of a split king

*2021-10-17, version 1.1.0*

Can’t use the same phone/app to control both sides of the bed. Any even use the same Amazon log in. Who has separate Amazon logins for each family member I. The house? Also, the whole setup process is counter intuitive. Basically, this is useless.

### 1/5 — Avoid

*2021-03-26, version 1.1.0*

Nothing like a $2500 base with a crap app. You can’t see what you’re typing on the screen....stick with the remote and hope your spouse doesn’t lose it.

### 1/5 — Unbelievably horrible app.

*2021-03-04*

I cannot believe it. I just can’t believe it. The app requires a login, or the creation of an account, but the letters are invisible on every screen. Plus it never paired with the bed. Total waste of money. Sending this crap back. ALL of it.

### 1/5 — Beautyrest Black

*2019-10-20, version 1.0.6*

I agree, this app doesn’t work. $2400 for the mattress but no app.

### 1/5 — Crap

*2019-10-20, version 1.0.6*

What a piece of crap. Was never left an owners manual (sellers fault) but then you go to beauty rest website and they say “to pair Alexa, see the Alexa Setup Guide”. Wherever the heck that is. Finally googled a solution and it pointed me to this crappy app. Followed directions over and over again but does not connect nor pair. Spending this kind of mega $$$ on a bed I expected more. Will probably send it all back. Don’t buy this mattress!!!!!!!!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2019-08-23, version 1.0.5*

It says to hold foot up and foot down simultaneously until you hear a beep. I never heard a beep and you can’t connect without it apparently 🤷🏼‍♀️. App needs work!

### 1/5 — OMG !!!!

*2018-11-13, version 1.0*

I cannot Believe this app !!!! Ridiculous is one word that comes to mind to describe it. Don’t even waste your time downloading this app. Obviously the people who design this app have no clue as to what they’re doing. They’re surely bed people only and k is nothing about apps and how they’ve supposed to work. Smfh 🤦🏻‍♂️
Also are you serious ???? You really have to have a password that includes eight digits, a Capital letter and a numerical digit ????
Really ???? Why may I ask ???? Do you really think someone’s going to crack my app password and sneak up outside my window and raise my feet up and down in the middle of the night ???? Why such idiotic protocol to have an app for my bed ???? Why the secrecy ???? It’s not like they can write a check on my bed or break into my bank 🏦
Smh 🤦🏻‍♂️.
Sorry but I just didn’t get it. Plus I never got it to connect in the first place.
Please Please Please reconsider fixing this app.
OMG 🤪

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Horrible App

*2026-06-01, version 1.1.2*

What a garbage app. I’d give it a zero if I could.

### 1/5 — Failed Instructions

*2026-03-08, version 1.1.2*

I've owned this base for around 2 years and have never been successful in connecting the app until just now. The instructions from the app are fine up until you are pressing the up/down arrows to put it in pair mode. The app would always fail at this point. I downloaded the ergomotion app today from the same company and their instructions were different at this point. It instructed me to connect to the wireless network the bed was broadcasting rather than being connected to my 2.4 home network. Once I did that, it discovered the bed and I was able to connect to my network, name my bed, and control my bed from the app. This could be an easy correction to a critical error.

### 1/5 — Worked until iOS 17.4.1

*2024-04-02*

This app worked fine for me until I updated my iOS. Now I can get through all of the connection steps, except when the confirm button comes up to pair to the bed base, it is impossible to actually tap the confirm button and complete pairing. I hope the developer updates the app.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2024-02-04, version 1.1.2*

Tried everything. The app refuses to connect to my $2,300 brand-new Beautyrest Luxury Base. I put in my Wi-Fi password and it just says "searching" forever. Won't connect. Guess I'll just have to use the remote.

### 1/5 — This must be a joke

*2022-12-02, version 1.1.1*

I can’t believe this is an advertised feature. The fields on the app screen are barely visible. The connection method (holding up and down on Foot) doesn’t seem to work. It’s just incredibly mind blowing this huge company allows this app to represent their product. It’s not remotely usable. And nobody at Beautyrest cares.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2022-06-13, version 1.1.0*

Pointless app. Too many people having the same issues of app not working.

### 1/5 — my bed wants my GPS location

*2022-03-20, version 1.1.0*

You can not connect to bed unless you let the Beautyrest app have your GPS location. Why on Gods green earth would i let my bed do that?

Creepy Beautyrest, creepy!

### 1/5 — Crap!

*2022-01-21, version 1.1.0*

I have tried everything… will not connect to my 2.4 g.. Customer service is a joke@!

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2022-01-06, version 1.1.0*

Either the app is defective or the luxury bed base is. I have owned the bed base for 6 weeks or so and have not been able to connect to wifi. Service techs have come and gone replacing the dongle yet nothing. Customer service has no technical phone support other than to tell you to follow the instruction manual. Very disappointing since customers are paying premium $$$ for something that doesn’t work as advertised.

### 1/5 — Terrible app, terrible product

*2022-01-04, version 1.1.0*

We bought the Beautyrest adjustable base 3-4 months ago, it’s been frustrating getting any help from these guys.
The app doesn’t appear properly on any apppe devices, the bed we have doesn’t sync to our wifi (which is only 2.4ghz) and countless support calls they finally agreed our wifi module was no good, today we got a new wifi module…. For a different bed.

The current wifi module keeps turning on and off and has always smelled like it melted or something, the customer support has been pretty useless the guy keep repeating 2.4ghz every 10 seconds and the app doesn’t work, the wifi module doesn’t work. So $3k and the bed modules smell like they melted and we can’t get through to anyone.

Will never buy this brand again.

## Most praised reviews (5 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works well as additional remote

*2024-04-16, version 1.1.2*

I had to follow all of the directions carefully in the book that came with the bed base, but I have been able to connect the app to the base and use it as a remote to make adjustments to the bed.

### 4/5 — Takes a few tries to get it to work...

*2019-10-28, version 1.0.6*

The app does work once you get the base connected. The problem is getting the base connected and that will take a few tries. That is is the reason for 4 stars. I also enabled the skill for Alexa and that actually worked from the first try.
This will only work on the 2.4G wifi and your smart device and base will have to be on the same network. I noticed that after pressing the two buttons at the same time, that mode does not last long and I had to move fast to get it to work. That mode should last long enough to be able to finish the setup... Mine did not and that is why I had to start over a few times until I was able to finish the setup before the mode ended.
But in the end everything works as described in the manual.

### 3/5 — Worth it!

*2019-11-06, version 1.0.6*

Being a geek that I am, I picked this adjustable bed specifically for the WiFi integration. The bad reviews I’ve read are focused on primarily three things
1. Not being able to connect to the base (all missed instructions step about connecting your device to the bed Wifi access point during setup)
2. Retarded need for account password obscure password characters requirements without a clear explanation (please fix to prevent 50+ year old customers, your primary demographic, from getting heart attacks!
3. Support staff out of India that barely speaks English (invest in a better call center! 10K extra per month will raise your CSAT score 10fold) I bought a Ferrari of Adjustable Beds and expect to be treated with respect.

As for the app, it works relatively well once setup. Only three issues encountered:
1. Android app appears to disconnect from the base after 1 use and requires restart. Apple app does not have this issue.
2. Both Android and Apple apps are having issues with up and down buttons. Press and hold doesn’t always keeps raising or lowering the bed.
3. The up and down buttons should be much larger in the apps.

Thank you for listening.

### 2/5 — Do NOT rely on app for setup

*2024-04-20, version 1.1.2*

Find the user manual for how to pair the app to your base. If you rely on the app you will literally never get it connected. You need the user manual because it’s NOT intuitive and it’s NOT explained in the app. Another reviewer here explained the process to give you an idea. Once it’s paired it works well but EESH. That was rough.

### 2/5 — Basic Function. Could be so much better.

*2019-11-18, version 1.0.6*

First, the instructions in the manual are poor. If you bought a B-rest Black adjustable base, you have the WiFi module. This device only works at 2.4ghz, so your router needs to support 2.4 and the device you are pairing needs to be on 2.4 as well. If you are using AT&T with their AirTies based router, this will work if both networks are given the same name and password. Download the app and register, then EXIT the app. Hold your foot up & foot down buttons on the remote while near the bed (which has to be powered) and you will hear a faint beeping. Once you hear the beeps, release the buttons and go to your WiFi settings. Look for KS.... that’s the bed and connect. Now go back into the app and finish.

That isn’t clear in the manual because they insert all of the Alexa and google assistant stuff.

It works, but the Alexa and google voice commands are limited, or not detailed enough.
