I tried to connect my Beaver Point device on both my phone, iPad, and using a cable (the last one being a Hail Mary). I had read other reviews but thought I’d give it a try. I’m not sorry I got this cute little handheld microscope—it’s fun and has its uses. But I was thinking of getting a couple as gifts and now I’ll be looking for something else. ### 1/5 — Absolute garbage *2025-03-28, version 2.9.21* The app, no matter how many times they say they fix it, does not work. He connects to my beaver labs device, and then I get a black screen and it is not usable. Lovely when you spend over $200 on an item that does not work. Support is absolutely useless, as they tried to explain all the different steps. None of which work. Save your money. I’ve tried every “fix” that was suggested online - because there is no customer service. Spent over 6 hours total trying to get this to reconnect - absolute waste of money and time. ### 1/5 — Useless *2025-02-20* Hopefully someone reads these, but from the other reviews I’m not getting my hopes up. I have the DT1, and the app seems to connect but never shows an image, and freezes if you click the shutter button or try to access the device gallery. Big stupid paper weight at this point. ### 1/5 — Horrendous *2025-02-02, version 2.9.12* The user interface is very bad and makes using their hardware nearly impossible. Buttons have no explanation, connections require cellular data to be turned off, and to simply save a picture to Photos requires transferring it between albums within this app. It’s nonsensical! Settings that DO make sense don’t even work: I have set the camera to take pictures in RAW, but it only saves in JPEG. Really lets down their hardware. Zero if possible. ### 1/5 — Très moyen et peu intuitif *2025-01-12, version 2.9.12* Connexion facile mais au dt1 mais l’application est nulle… ils promettent des réglage comme sur un reflex or c’est faux… on peut régler au mieux la correction des tremblements numérique et les iso mais on ne voit aucune différence. De plus l’application ne valide pas l’utilisation du 400mm il revient en permanence sur le 40mm et il impossible de prendre des photos correcte. Il y a des modes pour la prise de photos de nuit ou de la lune mais la mise au point ne se fait pas. Il est quasi impossible de viser la lune tant l’image est flou et ne se met pas à jour en temps réel. J’espère de grosse mise à jour parce que je suis très déçu de mon achat … de l’argent à la poubelle 😡 ### 1/5 — Not Connected *2025-01-01, version 2.9.11* It is connected to the cancer WiFi. I’ve followed the bare bones instructions to the letter. When buying from this company make the assumption that there will be no app. You can get the same functionality from the remote. This telescope (TW2) has no motorized functions, and no doubt the app is pretty bad even if you get it connected. ### 1/5 — Can’t get microscope to connect *2024-12-27, version 2.9.11* There is no troubleshooting option in the app and I just cannot get the microscope to connect. Every time I attempt to link my iPhone wi-fi the phone asks for a password. DOES THE DT1 HAVE A PASSWORD? WHERE DO I FIND IT? Very disappointed with the lack of app support. The BeaverLab website has links to what appear to be software patches but requires downloading some private code. Beware, these are not App Store links. I love this little microscope and lots of my friends are interested in getting one but I have to let all of them know that the WiFi doesn’t work. Cannot get my pictures off of my Darwin MXPro. ### 1/5 — Never Works *2025-07-27, version 2.9.26* I’ve had the DT1 for god knows how long at this point, and never once has it shown an image or taken a picture. The WiFi connects and shows the device, but only a black screen. Try taking a picture and it causes the app to freeze up. Also shows 34/64GB of the memory used, but try to access the device album and that freezes the app too. At this point since nobody at Beaver Point reads or responds to the many 1-star reviews I’ll just assume it’s some sort of Chinese malware garbage, delete the app, and chuck this device in the dumpster fire it deserves to die in. ### 1/5 — Don’t work m1c!!!!not connect. iPhone15 pro max 18.3.1 *2025-07-24, version 2.9.26* Please fix this problem with microscope, be cause earlier version supported work with this device. ### 1/5 — Can’t Connect to WiFi *2025-06-19, version 2.9.26* Here to say what others have said. I got the handheld smart microscope and have restarted both my phone and the device countless times. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app. The WiFi for the device that should be showing in my WiFi settings is not showing. Which is a big bummer as that’s the easiest way to get the photos on to my phone. I see what the deal with other reviewers is. I turn on the telescope I bought from temu and connect to the wifi it broadcasts. The app instantly shows the view of the scope. The App connects to my phone via wireless and then takes photos or videos with ease. The magnification is pretty good too. I normally don’t review apps, so you should know this is special. I, as well as many others it seems, have had issues with the connection of my BeaverLabs device. In my case, my michaelscope was seemingly on the fritz because I followed the instructions perfectly and could still not connect the darn thing to my mobile device. If you are stuck on the “Click on the link WiFi” screen, forget the device’s wifi on your phone and restart both the device itself and your app. After all this I reconnected to the device’s wifi and opened the app. That seemed to work. How you operate the app itself I am merely a novice at. If you need help with that, you’ll need to look inwards. I give this app 3 stars because I like the device itself, but the app makes me want to go to Atlantic City for the rest of the week and really blow off some steam. ### 2/5 — ! *2024-12-19, version 2.9.11* Не сохраняются фото и видео в галерею.
