I acknowledge this can be a bad actor on the specific drivers part but beware of fares being $5-7 more then estimated fare range for a $16-18 estimate ### 3/5 — Know when to use it *2025-10-30, version 5.27.0* It’s a good app to book a taxi in advance and when you know that Uber/Lift will overcharge you for peak times. It looked like he was parked for 15 minutes and only started moving when I called him. Then when he eventually got here, he said that the cost was the meter + $20, totally disregarding what the app said for a price. We did have some cargo to bring, but the vehicle tier selected was a cargo van so the estimate should have been the correct. Ridiculous experience and a waste of time, why bother providing an estimate if your drivers are going to ignore them. ### 1/5 — Email address problem *2024-04-21, version 5.15.0* I opened my Beck taxi app, after a long period away. It asked for my email address. I entered it. It said it was already entered. And there was no other way forward with the app. So I deleted the app, including data and reinstalled it. Same barrier to progress. Toronto very rarely use it try to shop local and once I found Beck taxi there will be no one else. I will trust to take my brother to safely get to his subway station at 5 o’clock in the morning in downtown Toronto. He was so kind to pick up a laboratory specimen for an 85-year-old lady who is paralyzed and housebound and drove it to the hospital and walked it up and found the proper location on the second floor and ensured that the laboratory staff accepted the specimen. He was so kind and lovely on the phone. I tried to add a $20. On the app, but it would not allow me.
