Edit: I’ve received both of the good endings, and the skip, bookmark, and photo gallery are still locked. Major bummer, and losing a star for that :/

The only thing that I’d recommend is that after you reach an ending, add a feature that highlights the choices you made, do you know what to change. Other than that, a great and fun game!

Just days after release, a new update to Beek is here! This update aims to address some of the immediate player feedback with some improvements to the game mechanics!

- The Bookmark limit has been increased to 12. Bookmarks now also display the last message and current route.
- Added a tutorial for the message skip mechanic.
- The credits have been updated.
- A soft-lock on Day 4 has been resolved.

### 2.0 — 2025-04-18

Beek - Familiar Spirit Remastered is here!

A new version of Beek, remastered from the ground up for modern devices.
- Updated gameplay and a redesigned user interface.
- Fully reworked English localisation.
- New audio engine enabling better dynamic music.
- Replaced all sound effects.
- Bookmarks have been reworked— you can now directly save and load your position in the story. Time progresses on your active bookmark. This is now free for all players.
- Skip Mode has been replaced with the “Timeshift” mechanic— available after reaching any ending on day 4. This is now free for all players.
- Previously made choices are highlighted on subsequent play-throughs.
- The beginning of each day is now visible in the chat log.
- The Journal has been added, giving tips on how to achieve each ending.
- Certain choices have been altered, making it more intuitive to obtain some CGs and endings.
- Certain achievements are now easier to obtain.
- Tutorials are now integrated directly into gameplay. Consequently, the User Manual has been removed.
- Responding to Beek has been optimised. There is no longer an active timer, allowing you time to read the chat before responding. You can choose to ignore any response directly. While closed, the story will automatically advance if you do not respond within 12 - hours.
- The chat search function and previous easter eggs have been removed.
- A variety of optimisations have been made to prevent bugs and soft-locks that were possible in the previous version.

If you previously played Beek - Familiar Spirit, please note the following:
- After this update, your old save file will no longer be accessible! Please consider this before updating.
- This version of the game is built on a much newer version of Unity, with almost no reused code. This was needed to ensure Beek remains playable for a long time into the future. Because of this, it was impractical to create a save file conversion function. We apologise for the inconvenience.
- [iOS/iPadOS] Players who previously purchased the Recovery Pack (CGs) may need to select "Restore Purchases" in the Album after updating the game to enable it.
