## What is Been There?

Our Mentors are here to guide, empower and, most importantly, listen. 

To sign up as a Mentor please download the app and fill out the application form, sending off two references. This will be checked by the team and we will carry out a background check before undergoing an online training course. To find out more information about what being a Mentor entails please see www.beenthereapp.com

To find a Mentor please download the app and create a profile. You have the chance to be anonymous if you wish. Then choose from our list of Mentors to initiate conversation. 

What we are:
We’re normal people just like you who’ve Been There. We’ve lived through body issues, mental health struggles, all kinds of problems and personal struggles and we want to help.

What we are not:
We’re not therapists, psychologists, counsellors or helplines, we’re just like you, and we care because we wish we had someone who had 'Been There' too.
There is an SOS button in the top right hand corner of most pages, which has crisis links should you be needing urgent help.
