Lots of bugs about payment not going through when I get a notification from my bank it went through. Small usability things like forcing a default vehicle which makes selecting the wrong vehicle likely when driving a second car. Error messages on holidays could better.

This app is so slow. Takes forever to “connect to bank”. I’m hoping yall can improve on this soon because it’s incredibly annoying when you have somewhere to be.

Take forever to tell you your payment hasn’t processed. It never works. I will be contacting my elected city counselor to figure out why this broken system was installed.

The app succeeded at charging a card, but not at registering the parking value, so I was charged twice. The fees are over 11.5% on small charges (there’s no extra fee if you pay at a meter). This is a shell app for Flowbird and has limited support.

Never once has it loaded in a timely manner. The location services for it are mediocre at best. The notification of when parking will end is a great touch if the rest of the app worked properly.

Downtown Salem really isn’t worth paying a parking fee. If the city wasn’t tragically mismanaged and had some decent shopping, this might make a modicum of sense, but right now, this is a worthless cash grab that’s just going to drive off business. Also parking is only supposed to be $1.50. Why am I paying an extra 35 cents to use a crummy app that won’t even load in half of DT Salem???

Worst app I have ever used. Doesn’t help find parking kiosk I was standing closest to, declined my card but then still charged me (week later money refunded) and the app charged me $4.35, but when I ended up using the parking   Kiosk nearby it only charged me $3.83. Do not use this app!

I stopped for lunch in downtown Salem today. I couldn’t even get Beep Beep Salem to open so I could pay for my parking. I ended up going someplace with free parking.

Absolutely. Horrible app by the city of Salem. That is trying to scam their citizens out of harder and money. This app is the worst app. I have you ever used. It has continuous glitches, and does not work.

The app costs an extra convenience fee to use digital, and you have to pay it again to re-up your parking. Money hungry greedy city that does nothing with its tax dollars to actually help the citizens.

if this app ever actually worked without excessive lagging and error pages, that would be great. most of the time i open up the app to;
- the loading screen taking so long to load my phone turns off
- for it to then tell me “beep beep salem has experienced an error” or some similarly worded message
- the loading dots upon log in or confirming payment also taking so long, my screen turns off.

what should be a less than 2 minute process to up and go takes much longer than it should. also, please give the option for 20 or 30 minute pay slots… there are often time i want to stop at a coffee shop and take a drink to go, and i have to pay for an hour despite being there a grand total of 15 to 20 minutes

The app let me pay for parking one time. Since, it has not let me extend or pay from the app. It says it’s processing for two minutes and then says it couldn’t be processed. Nothing is wrong with my payment on file, I keep using this same card at the physical meters and it is fine.

I got a “warning” for illegally parking yet I’m in the lines and paid on the app. Called for help and she was useless and ended up hanging up on me. That’s 14$ down the drain and I had to repay again so my car wouldn’t get towed!

* I like the fact that once you create your account, it saves all your info including your plate info, making it such a quick process to park (just a few clicks!)

I was able to use the app for the first time today. I had added my vehicles before hand, so once I parked, it really only took 30 seconds to take care of the payment portion. The app lets you know how much time you have left and gives you the option to extend straight from your phone.

I use it every week or so. There’s always a delay to log in and it’s sometimes unclear if I’m picking the correct spot on the map. Then there’s often another delay at “Contacting your bank” which sometimes gets stuck, forcing me to restart the app. Compare this to Portland’s Parking Kitty app which logs in instantly, doesn’t need GPS or a map, and remembers where you parked the last few times (since people usually park in the same areas). The best/only good thing about Beep Beep is it does a great job of keeping you notified about the status of your parking session. 
P. S. Why even use GPS in the first place, if you’re allowed to move to a different spot while you’re not yet expired? Why not just let me pay for an hour of parking anywhere downtown?

Things of note: it took me 5 mins to download and use.
It was mostly self explanatory.
Pros: you can enter multiple vehicles. 
Cons: 
1. The Beep Beep app doesn’t let you end the session. I was happy to pay for an hour but when I left after 20mins the app keeps running. There should be an option to complete the transaction and end the “session.”
2. Under My Account it has an area to Rate the App. When clicked on it takes you to the App Store to that you must purchase a different parking app.

In my experience, this app only works about 60% at the time. Also, the pay your parking columns should have the zone worked on them because sometimes it is very difficult to tell from the map. What zone you Are in

A parking app needs to be super fast, reliable, and easy. This is none of those. I use it every week or so. It always makes you log in and there’s often a delay doing that. Then there’s the GPS delay for the map and it’s sometimes unclear if you’re picking the right spot. Then when you pay that’s usually slow too, and often it gets stuck and times out. On top of all that if special free parking is in effect, it shows a weird error message instead of saying it’s free. But at least it does a good job of showing the status of your parking session.

I have to use this app 5-6 days a week. It has never worked smoothly a single time. Paying for parking takes me 3-5 minutes every time because it gets stuck processing at multiple different points. The reason it didn’t get a one star is the widget I’m able to use to keep track of how much time i have left. Bare minimum.

The main problem I have found with this app is that it frequently gets stuck at a certain point and needs repeated attempts to put it through to completion. Mostly, it’s fairly well set up and structured, but I can be well into a meal before I succeed in finally getting my parking paid for.
