I’m not happy I had £30 for a £10 trip absolute day light robbery ### 1/5 — Shocking company avoid !! *2020-08-16, version 30.2.2* Cancel taxis last min coz they can’t be bothered to drive to you destination but have no problem taking the money from your account and saying 3-5 for refund 🤬🤬🤬 furious left at 11pm with no way home ! Capital radio should be ashamed advertising you ### 1/5 — Never Use Again *2020-02-17, version 30.2.2* Thought I'd use the Beep Beep to collect us on Saturday at 23.55 in Dunfermline to bring us back to Broxburn after a night out. I downloaded the app, paid for the booking and received a confirmation email. So far so good. Towards pick up time, I tracked the taxi to our location on the app, which showed it was outside. I went outside and couldn't see the taxi. 14 minutes AFTER the agreed pick-up time, I received a Text Message to say that they 'Cannot cover Dunfermline to Broxburn unfortunately.' Letting me know 14 minutes after the agreed pick-up time is a complete joke. Leaving me to find a Taxi at short notice to get back home. VERY POOR SERVICE and will never use Beep Beep again and would highly recommend NOT using them! 😡🤬 ### 1/5 — Terrible customer service *2020-02-01, version 30.2.2* The taxi broke down which was not the driver’s fault. However the customer service was appalling. I was advised by the advisor that this was the end of his shift which I appreciate. He did give some support thankfully. However, I was hung up on 4-5 times previously. Another member of our party called and was then advised by another advisor that it was just the start of her shift. We were understandably stressed, as we were also on the way to the airport. This app will not be used again and we will be advising our friends to use another service also. ### 1/5 — Avoid! *2019-12-23, version 30.2.2* I have had the most horrific experiences (plural) with this app in the last few days. For weeks I have been comfortable that I would be able to use beep beep to get me home from my staff night out in Fife. The app even offered the option of pre-booking and paying by card. I didn’t pre-book and waited until the evening of my night out. First of all I went to a colleague’s house for drinks. I booked a taxi for 8 of us with beep beep. The app confirmed and all seemed well. The time for the pickup cane and went and no taxi ever came. Never knew what happened. Arrived at the hotel late as had to book another. End of night paid for my taxi to get home with beep beep. All went through. Shortly after a phone call saying that the taxi licensing laws won’t permit my journey. Why on earth take my money then (twice May I add- 2x £44). Still waiting on it to be returned. This app is seriously flawed and should be re-programmed to only let customers book journeys that are permitted by local taxi rules. I ended up stranded in fife. Luckily the hotel offered me a room for free. I don’t know what I would have done otherwise. 3-5 working days to get my money back! Unacceptable. Transactions are showing as Capital Cars. ### 1/5 — Would not recommend *2019-12-08, version 30.1.5* Absolutely rubbish service! The taxi didn’t bother turning up, leaving me stranded. Do not use. ### 1/5 — Don’t bother *2019-12-07, version 30.1.5* Do not use this app. We ordered a taxi over 3 hours in advance. 10 minutes after it failed to show up, we called and were told they were really busy and the car hadn’t been despatched and would be another 10-15 minutes. After 20 minutes, we called again and were told that it still hadn’t been despatched and could be another 20 minutes. By this point we were already late for our dinner reservation and the restaurant was unable to hold our table. Our night was completely ruined. Will never use this service again. At the end of the call, the operator advised that it was always better to call than to use the app as you were more likely to get a car on time, so what is the point in this app? ### 1/5 — This service is *beep beep* *2019-12-07, version 30.1.5* Can’t *beeping* get over how *beeping* bad this is. Booked the taxi three hours before we needed it and was going to turn up nearly an hour late. *beep* off ### 1/5 — Scam *2019-11-03, version 30.1.5* Went to pre book a taxi on “beep beep” as you can pay with card and in advance. I put in all my details and the money came out my bank. I then got a phone call an hour later saying that they can’t provide a taxi, as it doesn’t work in the area we were getting picked up in (Glasgow). I don’t understand why they let customers fill in all the details, the address and then pay for it, for it not to work!!! I phoned up and they said I would get my money back in 2-3 working days... Don’t recommend!!! ### 1/5 — Rude drivers and incorrect prices. *2019-10-23, version 30.1.5* This app launched with the branding slogan of “Cheaper than UBER”. This is false - the company keeps raising the fixed fairs and are now on average a good few pounds more than the launch fairs. It is certainly not always cheaper than Uber - often more expensive. I have a regular evening commute from my home to the Balmoral or Edinburgh Grand hotels for evening cocktails, with Uber this trip is normally between £10-13, never paying more than £13 at max (with a surge on) - with this app the current fixed fair is £16.55, much more than Uber! Out of curiosity I called the company on 0131 777 7777 and booked a taxi directly with them. The driver swiftly turned up and the metered fair came to around £15, with the 20% discount that Capital odder the fair was around £13, around the same price as an Uber. Drivers are also rude and obnoxious and often rant about the management of the company, being “blocked” and put in the “sin-bin” and say how they do not want to take my job. Great customer service once again! On the whole I sadly cannot recommend this app, after over 150 trips with this company i am vastly disappointed and will be returning to Uber. ### 3/5 — Is good when the taxi actually comes. *2019-09-21, version 30.1.5* This app is very useful as I am using taxis nearly everyday. Although at least 3 times in the past few weeks the taxi drivers have said that they have waited out side and cancelled the booking when I have been waiting outside my door and they have not turned up. I got none of this 3 and 4 pound of my journeys as it says I did get the first 2 then that’s it. Part from that it’s a good service but just at least honour the cheaper 3 and cheaper 4 cos it wouldnt accept they codes for me. We got text messages also saying they weren’t doing the codes just now either so Cheaper what’s it to be??? ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Very Poor Service – Avoid This Taxi Company *2025-04-30, version 35.1.9* I booked a taxi for 11:15, but the driver only arrived at 11:35. There was no apology for being late. Instead, the driver was extremely rude and sarcastically said, “I can only drive, not fly.” This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. You book on this the live tracker you get of your driver isn’t accurate, multiple times I’ve had to explain to the driver where to go like you’re the taxi driver mate you should know, whereas Uber just use sat nav so it’s nice and simple. Always seems to cost more than Uber and I’ve only used this whenever I wasn’t able to get an Uber due to being busy. Last trip I got from here was £10 for a 3/4 minute drive, and at the end of the trip the driver said it was a cash fare, now I was sure I had done it with my card and I asked him to check, he said it wasn’t a card fare, so I gave him the cash only to find out the money had been taken from my bank also. Can only phone them to complain and you’re lucky if you get an answer cause I’ve tried 3/4 times and had no such luck.
