## What is Beep Test Watch?

Challenge yourself with the ultimate fitness test on Apple Watch and iPhone.

A beep test is a 20m shuttle run and is based on the timings first described by Luc Léger. Starting at 8.0 km/h and increases by 0.5 km/h roughly every minute. It is an awesome way of testing your cardio fitness out, and working out what your VO2 max is.

When you press start you immediately begin the beep test symbolised by a sound and haptic that plays on your watch. Beep Test Watch was designed with haptics in mind and vibrates differently to indicate a level increase. The app will also track your heart rate and active energy and then create a new workout in Apple Health, so you don't have to start a workout at the same time. The app will also add your VO2 max calculation to Apple Health's cardio fitness.

The total time and level will update as you run. A V02 Max calculation will also be shown.

Your test history will be saved to your device and iCloud account so you can compare your previous attempts and see your progress overtime. We also show you your average heart for each completed test on Apple Watch.

Beep Test Watch now includes support for the following tests:

- UK & Australian Beep tests (as used by the military)
- UK Fire Test
- Standard Luc Léger test

Great app, worth the money for those training and want it for their AW.  Been using it for months now.

Is the developer still active though I don’t think so. Sent an email about a suggestion a while  ago with no reply

By level 2 it was one full sprint off on the 20m version. Verified by actual measured markings on the grounded and the Garmin beep test app.

After paying and downloading it, it is not showing on my phone. Not sure if this is a developer issue or Apple store issue. Will look more into it.

The app is currently only available on Apple Watch, it is still searchable however in the iPhone store as are all watch os apps. This is out of my control. I do have an iPhone version launching within the next few weeks that will be included as part of the same purchase. You can request a refund through apple. I would appreciate it if you edited your review, it’s a shame to give someone’s work 1 star when you have not even used the app.

I am in the military and downloaded this to use to get back up to speed following Covid. I used it in conjunction with the standard bleep test in our gym. Whilst I registered 8.5 on the standard bleep test, the app had me at level 16.5 in 7 minutes 47 seconds. My watch was vibrating 2 seconds for the majority of the test, meaning I should be running at 10m/s starting at level 1! Not bad if I’m Usain Bolt, but hardly a true representation of my fitness! Much work needed!
