The update button is grayed out and doesn’t respond to clicks after entering the required information on the form. It’s been like this ever since the implementation of the Beep Cash. Do not use the app as it is a scam *2025-01-29, version 8.1.47* After the update, you cannot fetch the load anymore. The app is so buggy and laggy. My funds on my Gcash app was debited but did push thru in the app (no pending load). The customer service is not even cooperating. And they will refuse give you back the funds (my 1k forever lost). Lesson learned. Better use this as checking of balance BUT NEVER USE TO LOAD AGAIN VIA THIS APP ### 1/5 — Getting worse every update *2025-01-28, version 8.1.47* When I first came accross this app it was pretty reliable. Now it is keeps getting slower and buggier every update. It no longer shows my registered card. Checking the balance takes forever! Buying Beep load is an even worse experience. Scanning your card should be instant, not 30 seconds! Even after taking forever, most of the time it just fails. Very frustrating app to use. Please hire better developers, are you even quality checking your app before releasing updates? ### 1/5 — Barely functional *2025-01-27, version 8.1.47* The app has a buy and fetch load feature which only works if it wants to. Everything you do has a loading screen, and sometimes nothing happens even after waiting a long time. The app boasts many other features but cant even get its core function right. Kudos on the updated UI but all other features lags. Never ending system connection error and loading pages. Please fix this. It’s supposed to be more convenient than having to top up your card at the loading kiosks but it, more often than not, has problems updating your beep card. Conveniently for them, the app has no problem taking your money though but as soon as you try to fetch the load you paid for, you’re presented with nothing but error messages. ### 1/5 — NFC SCAN NOT WORKING AFTER BUYING LOAD *2024-07-11, version 7.1.57* Before I bought beep load, NFC scan is working just fine. I just tested it out and bought 10pesos load. And when I’m trying to fetch the load, NFC scan is not working anymore. It just keeps on saying “cannot read card”. I already restarted my phone but it’s still not working. I thought this app would make my life easier to buy beep load but it gave me so much hassle. ### 1/5 — Verifying the account is so hassle *2024-06-19, version 7.1.49* I tried to verify my account here to load my beep card online, though on my first time, they took too many weeks (I think its almost 2 month) and they rejected it WITH NO REASON.. then when I tried to register again.. there’s always an error like error in selfie image or unexpected document reading error.. I was excited to use this to load my beep card without falling in line, but I think falling in line is more convenient than this app ### 4/5 — Problem upgrading to premium *2024-06-05, version 7.1.49* App works well to check the balance of the card. However, upgrading my account from basic to premium — it does not allow me to upgrade despite having clear photos that is required to upgrade. Please fix. ### 4/5 — Improved UI worked! *2024-05-23, version 7.1.49* Almost close to being a perfect beep card app. Could fix more on the seamlessness of transactions and redeeming of rewards but thank god it was updated cause i’ve been waiting!!! ### 1/5 — Don’t load up your card using the app *2024-04-02, version 7.1.48* App takes forever to load, even with just switching screens/interfaces. Cannot read the card either. And the worst experience: I loaded up using the app, got it deducted from my GCash, but the app tagged it still as payment failed and won’t reflect the balance! This was supposed to be revolutionary and a step towards digitalizing everyday transactions but it does little to nothing that it’s almost useless. Faster and more secure to just load up your card manually instead of here. ### 1/5 — BRING BACK THE OLD BEEP APP *2024-03-17, version 7.1.48* I updated my beep app and goes premium neacuse your app requires me to do so. but I had so much stress while buying load for my card and while using my online bank for payment, An error continously popping up saying "An error occured while saving the entity changes. See the inner exceptions for details" like what does it mean? I allowed everything to be accessed by beep app. It seems like a downgrade not an update. 🤦‍♀️ ### 3/5 — Beep *2024-03-11, version 7.1.39* The is good but I would like to suggest to consider transferring of load to another card incase the physical card was lost or make a virtual copy of the card in phone incase you forgot the physical copy. Also, transaction history would be helpful. As of now the only feature that useful for me is checking the load balance and loading of the card. ### 1/5 — Premium Pending *2024-02-28, version 7.1.39* I loaded my card but can’t fetch it only to find out that you have to register to Premium to be able to fetch the load. So that’s what I did and it still say Premium Registration Pending. It’s taking forever for this app to approve to Premium. Guess I’ll never get my money back. ### 1/5 — Failed retrieval of payment *2024-01-22, version 7.1.39* I have had this kind of problem for a while now, two months to be exact. I have payed for load using the app but as I finish the process would fail right after paying and the load would not be registered. Although the app said that my payment would be retrieved I am still waiting but I don't know for how long. I highly discourage the use of the app, it causes more of an inconvenience now than going to the terminal to manually add load to my card. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Unreasonable Convenience Fees *2025-12-17, version 8.2.33* I thought to try the app for the first time today. It doesn’t make sense to me that I have to scan my card after inputting my card number. More than that though, when I tried to load, I realized that the convenience fee is not fixed. It went up to 27 pesos for a transaction above 500. Even interbank transfers of large amounts don’t cost that much. I don’t think that this service is worth those stacking convenience fees. ### 1/5 — Non-functional *2025-12-04, version 8.2.33* More often than not, the app is not working. Load balance on beep cards are not reflecting real time and fetching load only works maybe 1/10 times despite having already been deducted from the e-wallet. There are never any advisories during app/system maintenance. Customer support is also very difficult to reach. If only there were other options because beep is so unreliable and this app is inconvenient at best and non-functional at worst. ### 1/5 — I can see why its 1 star or no star at all! *2025-11-26, version 8.2.33* Its very hard to register and put your own photo. It’s either you fix this app or just desist from making one. ### 1/5 — 1 Star review for limited features *2025-10-22, version 8.2.33* I honestly don’t know where to begin — it feels like the developers or the team behind this app aren’t actual commuters. The app is missing several essential features such as: 1. An option to lock or disable the Beep card in case it gets lost or stolen. 2. KYC verification keeps getting rejected without any explanation of the reason. 3. Important features are limited only to concessionary Beep card users, when in fact most of your users are regular commuters. We deserve to have access to those features as well. 4. The app should have a built-in function to deactivate a stolen card immediately. 5. We’re already paying a convenience fee, yet this is the kind of service we receive after reporting a lost regular Beep card to your unresponsive helpdesk. 6. The FAQ section is very limited and seems to cater mainly to concessionary card users. 7. Beep cards should be available to 711 convenience stores or any other convenience stores. Not all commuters ride MRTs some use this for BGC bus. We pay for the convenience fee, we might as well receive it on return ### 1/5 — Fix? What fix? *2025-09-03, version 8.2.33* Downloaded this last year but had to uninstall due to bugs. Loading tha card is not a problem, but fetching takes eons. If you are in a rush and wants to use this, goodluck. Baka maitapon nyo pa phone nyo. Magtopup na lang kayo sa stations. If you have time to spare , use it but I do not recommend this app. Im even wondering, with all the negative feedbacks na paulit-ulit, me ginagawa ba talagang fix? I still see it is unused in the app but I can’t transfer it to my other beep card. There is also no option to use a digital beep card in the app so my money is just sitting idly in that lost beep card. I hope the app has a digital version of the enrolled physical beep card that can be used as alternative to the physical card. Also, while the digital beep card feature is not yet available, I hope there is a way to transfer the load of enrolled beep card to other beep enrolled beep card. ### 1/5 — SCAM *2025-04-09, version 8.1.53* Lagging, server error, slow app.. I can still bear it. But didn't expect this app to take my money for nothing. I bought a load and received 2 receipts as a proof that my payment transaction was successful, fetching load was supposed to be right after buying load, right? But that didn't happened and showed me a blanked screen when I'm about to fetch my load. I tried to refresh the app first but now it keeps saying that I have NO AVAILABLE LOAD?!?!? I ended up paying over the counter. I PAID DOUBLE TODAY!! I tried sending an email already and until now my load is still not returned nor my money. ### 1/5 — A lot of areas for improvement *2025-04-09, version 8.1.53* Some of the functions on the app work but there are always system errors that the team at Beep never seem to resolve. I always have problems loading my Beep card and every time I try, my money gets deducted but it never reflects on the app. It’s been a frustrating experience especially as someone who is always on the go and always needing the card. Most ways I can tap up on load would be from someone else’s phone or at a convenience store. Otherwise, the app is unreliable and inconvenient when the user is alone. What’s worse is that most Beep kiosks have closed down in my area so my sources are really limited. Hope the team can work on improving the experience. ### 1/5 — Cannot fetch claimed rewards *2025-03-17, version 8.1.47* I have been watching my reward points for a while, and now i have decided to claim them for free load, but i cannot fetch the load in the fetch section of the app, at first it showed that i can now fetch the load i claimed, and then i tapped for the nfc but it showed an error prompt. After that the claimed load reward was gone and i havent been able to fetch it. I have been trying to figure this out for 2 hours and still havent fetched the load till now. So frustrating. ### 1/5 — Can't fetch load through the app *2025-03-13, version 8.1.47* I always pay using GCash, but after I pay it won't enter my card even when I don't move my card. It always says there's a problem in the server or unable to process request. One of the reasons why this app is built is to provide convenience, but it is the opposite. Most of the times, even with the e-load kiosk, the money enters after a day or so. They asked me to send screenshot thru email and issue got resolved under 30min. Thanks, Beep Card team for the prompt action. ### 5/5 — THE APP IS WORTH DOWNLOADING *2023-07-16, version 3.8.6* At first I thought that it’s not worth it because I bought a 100 peso load to test it out and it dis not show up on the balance section. Then a couple of minutes they sent me an SMS saying that the load has been processed. So I opened the app and do the NFC thing (which is tapping the beep card on my phone, for iOS users just place the beep card on your device’s front cam). And it worked out.
