The new update where you automatically “Cheers” someone when you open the app is really annoying. Also I see “Cheers” has now been changed to “Likes” - why?? HORRIBLE fumble ### 1/5 — used to love, now hate *2026-06-25* me and my friends love this app, we use it all the time. however, the most recent update has made it unusable. i no longer have the ability to take two photos at once, which was my favorite feature in the app. it now only takes one, and that’s if the camera even decides to work. the AI detection feature is annoying and unnecessary. also, my friends’ photos often don’t show up on only my phone when they post, all that i see is the map with their location. i thought i was the only one with these issues but it seems like it’s happening to everyone. please revert back to your old version so i can go back to loving your app again! **Developer response:** Hi, the dual cam is enabled again. You can disable the ai drink detection with the glass button on the bottom left. Regarding the missing photos, that’s an issue for a long time already. I have added a photo upload retry mechanism which still is not perfect. Half the time now if you do take a picture it doesn’t even work. Devs if you see this go back to the old logging method and the app is 5/5 stars ### 1/5 — Bring back the old beer buddy! *2026-06-22* The new update is awful!! Please bring back the old beer buddy! The ai detection thing doesn’t work and won’t let you even take photos. If you want to add a new drink to the app, it won’t let you anymore because it doesn’t even detect there’s any drink in the photo you take let alone what kind of beverage it is so you can add it to the app. It was perfect a few months ago but the new updates have ruined the app! I love beer buddy and want to keep using it with my friends so please fix it 🩷 **Developer response:** Thanks for the kind words and for flagging this. You’re right that it broke, and I’ve shipped a fix, so please update to the latest version (or reinstall if the App Store is slow to offer it) and adding drinks by photo should work again.
