### 4/5 — Really great app!

*2018-08-04*

I’m studying for the BJCP exam, and the category of off-flavors and the descriptive terminology provided on the flavor wheel is really great! As a homebrewer, I think the SRM guide is terribly useful, too!

### 4/5 — Please make it enlargeable

*2017-02-23*

Great app, I just wish I could enlarge the wheel to read it better.

### 4/5 — Beer Judge - Great Study Tool

*2017-02-03*

I'm enjoying this app to help me study for my Certified Cicerone, but the analyzer needs some work. I'm not sure what perfect conditions you need to be in to use the camera, but it never matches the beer I'm checking.

### 4/5 — Handy yet a bit pricy

*2016-12-27*

I use this a few times a year to find the right wording for a review. Not really mandatory yet handy. Could have a better cross reference with BJCP beer styles as an enhancement.

### 4/5 — Good Info

*2016-09-03*

Decent information. Pricey for what you get. Flavor wheel is helpful. Worth getting if you have a poor memory or need to study, otherwise just print the info...

### 4/5 — Decent app

*2015-07-18*

Has the correct information needed by a beer judge but needs more structure. Overall a good app

### 3/5 — Almost all works

*2014-10-21*

I like everything about this app. The favor wheel is a nice reminder of how you can make or differentiate tastes. Unfortunately, my SRM does not work. I was hoping for a quick digital way for analyzing color.

### 5/5 — Brew Student

*2014-04-07, version 1.2.0*

In beer school Olds College, AB. Currently most of us have adopted this and love it. Particularly anyone entering first semester this Sept. 2014, I can't recommend this app enough.

### 5/5 — Does what it says

*2014-04-06, version 1.2.0*

Good app, beats looking at a jpg on google images and the tasting notes are great. Good app, especially if you want to hone you beer tasting skills.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2014-02-20, version 1.2.0*

Fun to use. Helps me learn more about beer.

### 4/5 — Great app for judges, beer nerds, and home brewers

*2014-01-17*

I've been looking for an app that helps with flavor references for a while. This one covers the whole spectrum, with a simple to use wheel feature. It's exactly what I was looking for.

A great enhancement would be a pop-up on the wheel screen that explains the different description - e.g. if you press and swipe across the name. That would save effort flipping back to the off flavors screen (still keep that too - very useful).

### 4/5 — Nice app for studying on the go!

*2013-12-26, version 1.1.0*

I really like the flavor wheel!

### 4/5 — Beer Judge

*2013-12-01*

A very useful app. I just have two comments. The SRM color scale tool won't let you go darker than about 25, and the description of diacetyl in the off-flavors has some typos in the 2nd and 3rd paragraphs. These are too confusing to figure out from context.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Broken

*2022-11-02*

It looks like this app is broken and not supported. Off flavours section crashes the app when trying to obtain more info on each note. Shame.

### 1/5 — Lame

*2019-03-03*

Same tools and info in other free apps that have more knowledge and content. Fell ripped off.

### 1/5 — $1.99 for a Lackluster App with Limited Functionality or Benefit

*2017-03-28*

The app itself is relatively unavailing and not very extensive. A novice could build this app after taking a one-week course online. When there are so many free options available I had hoped to get some value for what I spent, but unfortunately that was not the case.

### 2/5 — Fix the SRM photo feature

*2021-04-03, version 1.4.0*

Unfortunately, this feature ONLY works on real devices

? What does this mean. $3.99 is a little steep for what this app does - it has potential but needs some work

### 2/5 — Bit Pricey

*2015-11-19*

Needs a few more features for the cost. However, features provided are a nice reference. A version like this would be better in a "lite" option perhaps.

### 2/5 — Used to Work Great

*2015-10-21, version 1.2.0*

Not sure what happened. It used to work really good now if I try to open Off Flavors or Analyzer it shuts the whole App down. Otherwise I would give it 5 stars.

### 2/5 — More please!

*2013-07-18*

I took a HUGE leap of faith with my two dollars by buying this app. I figured it was kinda new and wouldn't have all the dynamic analytic systems that one would expect after spending two dollars. And it doesn't. My leap of faith comes in later when they (hopefully) vastly improve this app adding other helpful tools to someone who judges with the BJCP, and raise the price to four dollars.

Maybe add the definitions to each of the terms on the flavor wheel. Or some helpful descriptors for each category that one can use while filling out a score sheet. Or even go nuts and have an electronic BJCP scoresheet that can be used and link up to a wireless system at a BJCP event and instantly file a scoresheet.

I know I'm nuts!

Nice start, just keep it going and make it worth $4.

### 2/5 — Meh!

*2013-07-16*

A detailed Flavor wheel and an SRM chart. That's about it. The "analyzer" is supposed to measure the SRM using the camera. So far I've tested several beers an all i get is "bad match" an a stab at a SRM number. The flavor wheel text is So small I cannot see it. It cannot be magnified and is useless to me unless I get some cheater glasses on. So. Cool? Yea. Useful? Not really
functional? Not from what I've seen.

### 2/5 — Works pretty well for what very little it does

*2013-07-13*

This gives you the beer flavor wheel and a couple interesting SRM tools, but it is difficult to say how accurate they are. Not worth the measly $2 IMO. Hopefully they will build more functionality into this over time.

### 3/5 — Expensive, not worth the money

*2020-03-15, version 1.4.0*

Don’t know why this app costs $2.99 AUD, all you get is a flavour wheel from beerflavourwheel.com (free), a list of common of flavour and their cause and an srm eyedropper. Wouldn’t recommend it

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Yes

*2016-05-11, version 1.3.0*

As a BJCP Judge I use this all the time. Well worth it.

*2016-01-06*

Really like this app, from the flavor/aroma wheel to SRM camera. Has come in handy already!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2015-04-20*

I like everything about it. I use it when I go to judge beer.

### 5/5 — Helpful little tool

*2014-09-05*

This helps me remember that diacetyl means buttery and dms means cooked corn! I always mix those up.

### 5/5 — Love it.

*2014-08-20, version 1.2.0*

Great app, concise off flavor descriptions, flavor wheel & in depth full beer style guidelines. Awesome.

### 5/5 — Beer pro

*2014-07-01, version 1.2.0*

Amazing app

### 5/5 — Thank you!

*2014-05-07, version 1.2.0*

Awesome

### 5/5 — Great Beer App!

*2014-04-09, version 1.2.0*

Very helpful app when tasting and evaluating beers. The SRM component works great and the flavor/aroma wheel works like a charm to revive flavor memories. Cheers!
