## What is BeerLog?

BeerLog is your personal beer journal — a fast, private record of every beer you've tried.

Standing in the bottle shop wondering if you've had that hazy IPA before? Scan the barcode and find out in a second, with your own photo and rating to jog your memory. No more buying the same disappointing beer twice.

Scan and know instantly — Point your camera at a barcode and get a clear answer: had it, or new. For something new, fill in as much or as little as you like.

Quick check-ins — Snap a photo, start typing the beer name — it autocompletes from an evolving catalogue shaped by drinkers everywhere. Add a rating, style, ABV, serving type and notes if you want them. Or just log it and move on.

"Have I had this?" in seconds — Search any beer or brewery and see your own photo, your rating, and when you last had it. Visual confirmation, fast.

Bring your history with you — Already keep a beer log somewhere else? Import your full history from a CSV or JSON export — beers, breweries, ratings, dates, even photos. Everything you've logged, from day one.

Share what you're drinking — Log a beer and your friends see it in their activity feed. Choose who gets notified — everyone, a few, or no one. Follow friends back and see what they're pouring too.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.2 — 2026-08-18

• Beer pages now show shops near you where a beer was recently purchased
• Explore's This month charts focus on your country, with a worldwide view a tap away
• Re-read past release notes anytime in Settings under What's new
• A refreshed look: labelled tab bar, iOS 18 tinted app icon
• Plus bug fixes and general polish

### 1.1.1 — 2026-07-07

Invite a friend with a personal link — when they sign up through it, you're connected automatically.

Also new:
• Share any beer or log as a link.
• Get notified when someone else comments on a log you've commented on.

Fixes: ABV now always shows to at most one decimal place, and failed friend requests show a clear error instead of doing nothing.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-06-30

Introducing public profiles and public logs — BeerLog's biggest update yet.

• Make your profile or any individual log public to reach beer lovers beyond your friends list.
• Discover what people in your country — or around the world — are drinking in the new public feed.
• Build your feed your way with independent Me, Friends, and Public filters.

Everything stays friends-only until you choose to share. You're always in control — keep any log private, block users, or report content.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-06-20

What's new in 1.0.5

• Mention a friend by typing @ in a comment or a log's tasting notes.
• The activity feed now remembers your Friends / All filter.
• Stay signed in for up to 30 days.
• Fresh dark espresso app icon.
• Fixed a crash when tapping Continue with Google to sign in.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-06-01

Photo-aware location suggestions, an unsaved-edits warning, a theme choice that sticks across restarts, smarter barcode self-healing, and fixes to the highest-rated leaderboards and a duplicate check-in bug.
