Geeez, how hard is it to find a stylish font? ### 2/5 — Import from camera roll doesn’t work *2020-11-20* I’ve tried to import “before” photos from my camera roll and when I’ve selected the picture/s I want. I only get a black screen and when you click done the app crashes and goes to the desktop icons. This app doesn’t do as it states and is full of bugs! This does NOT work, do not waste your time. ### 1/5 — Can not export GIF *2017-05-12* The reason I bought this was to create a before/after slider or GIF to fundraise for a mural for our elementary school. The app offers an option of saving a GIF of the changing image to your photo roll, but it does not work. It only saves a screenshot of the before photo. **Developer response:** When saving the GIF to your camera roll, it will only appear as a static image in your photo library, but is in fact a GIF. But don't take my word for it, if you email the photo to yourself it will show up as a moving picture. ### 3/5 — Ganz nett.. aber wieso nicht GIF oder Video speichern? *2017-01-08* Das ist ja alles ganz nett. . LiveFotos kommen bald. ### 2/5 — Sort of works ok *2016-10-25* Does what I was looking for but it's a pretty bad app. Full of spelling mistakes, ugly and if you switch to another app it wipes the photo you've taken!! So make sure you save straight away. Also no control of opacity and doesn't save EXIF data on photos such as location **Developer response:** Please check out V2.0 of Before and After. We've improved the look and feel and added new functionality. Any new photos you add are saved into recents automatically, so you can always retrieve them! In the meantime, we've launched a big update which improves the look and feel of the app, as well as the functionality. ### 1/5 — Crap *2016-07-20* Don't buy this app. It's junk and a rip off. Doesn't work on creating useful collages from your gallery. Only works if you take pictures imm with your camera and use them immediately. There are better free apps for out there. **Developer response:** I'm sorry you feel that way. Before and After is a great app to take perfectly aligned before and after photos. It's now even better with the release of Version 2.0! Waste of a few quid. Interface gets stuck on pictures used and won’t show new ones, crashes out lots of times. Was 100% unable to do so for two reasons: 1. Adding existing photos from my phone showed nothing but a black box. 2. Once you pick a before picture, it takes you straight to the camera so you can’t pick a second image from your library. Bought this app and tried to safe a before and after video slide show and it saves as an image even though I clicked “save as gif” every single time. Waste of my money. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — App works excellent after becoming familiar *2021-11-11* I purchased this app to align two previously taken pictures, and to my surprise found it wasn't possible. After contacting the programmer and receiving a timely response, I discovered alignment is achieved only when taking the second photo. It's simple as you: 1) Select (or take) the 1st photo 2) Acquire a second photo by taking a picture. When preparing to "snap" a second photo, alignment of the that one (with the 1st) becomes obvious. I noticed from some low rated reviews they had the same expectations as I did when purchasing. After pursuing it further did I find how it worked and am glad I did. In taking the second picture, you are aiming the image on your phone camera through a transparent "template" of the first, enabling a very versatile alignment method. Now that I'm familiar with it's use, I'm looking forward to some sharp before & after photos! ### 5/5 — AWESOME APP *2017-09-24* I LOVE this app and the developer is very responsive if you ever have any issues with it. It makes your "before" image transparent so that you can PERFECTLY line up the "after" picture! 😄. This is the only app I found that actually works and does what it claims. The ability to change the opacity of the overlay earns the fifth star. Nice design and bug free implementation. It's always a challenge to get the same angle 'after' photo as the before photo. This app is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. I love the transparent overlay that allows me to line up all of the elements that didn't change and take the photo at the same angle. This app also allows me to fade between the before and the after image… I can't say enough about how much I love this.
