## What is BeforeTap?

Know where a link goes before you tap it.

BeforeTap reveals the destination behind shortened, tracking, and unfamiliar URLs. Paste a link, scan a QR code, or share a link from another app. QR links receive the same destination, redirect, and warning-sign checks as pasted links before anything opens.

No account. No ads. No analytics. Your inspection history stays on your device and can be deleted at any time. Submitted links are processed by T.LY's link-tools services to resolve redirects and return the inspection report.

Clear, honest results

BeforeTap points out structural warning signs such as unencrypted HTTP, encoded domains, direct IP addresses, unusual ports, deep subdomains, and long redirect chains. It does not label a link “safe” or pretend to replace antivirus software. A clean result is not a guarantee. When a link involves money, passwords, or personal information, use the organization’s official app or type its known address yourself.
