The only way to have access to the app is with a subscription. And it is not transparent about this until you set everything up. That is why I am giving it 2 stars. This app is completely AI do not buy. ### 2/5 — Confusing Business Model *2026-07-08, version 4.5.2* I wanted to try the app, but beware that you can only try it for free if you sign up for the $90 a year subscription. No refunds either. So it’s a bit misleading they offer a 7 day free trial. Luckily I only signed up for the monthly, but was locked out of the app until my payment cleared. Now the app’s functionality is very interesting. It’s neat that you can take anything and turn it into a podcast style narration. Very engaging and functional. Your mileage may vary though. Great use case for AI. Overpriced. AI라는 단어를 앞세운다고 해서 높은 가격이 자동으로 정당화되는 것은 아니라고 생각합니다. 중요한 것은 실제로 사용자가 얻는 가치입니다. AI를 이용해 만든 기능이라 하더라도 기존 서비스보다 훨씬 편리하거나 정확하거나 특별한 결과를 제공해야 높은 가격을 납득할 수 있습니다. 그런데 제가 사용해 본 범위에서는 가격에 비해 압도적으로 뛰어나다거나 반드시 이 앱을 사용해야 할 이유를 찾기 어려웠습니다. 오히려 비슷한 기능을 제공하는 다른 AI 서비스와 비교했을 때 비용 부담이 먼저 느껴졌습니다. 또한 AI 기반 앱일수록 결과물의 품질이나 정확성, 사용 제한, 생성 횟수 등 중요한 조건을 결제 전에 투명하게 공개해야 한다고 생각합니다. 단순히 “AI 기능 제공” 정도로 홍보하기보다 어떤 AI 기능을 제공하는지, 결제하면 정확히 무엇이 추가되는지, 이용 횟수나 제한이 있는지 등을 한눈에 확인할 수 있어야 합니다. 사용자가 충분한 정보를 확인한 상태에서 스스로 결제를 선택하도록 해야 정상적인 서비스라고 생각합니다. 결제와 구독 관련 안내 역시 지금보다 훨씬 직관적이어야 합니다. 월간 결제인지 연간 결제인지, 무료 체험이 있다면 언제부터 비용이 청구되는지, 자동 갱신 여부는 어떻게 되는지, 해지는 어디에서 할 수 있는지 등의 내용을 결제 버튼을 누르기 전에 명확히 안내해야 합니다. 특히 연간 금액을 월 단위 가격처럼 작게 나누어 표시하거나 할인 폭을 크게 강조하는 방식은 실제로 지불해야 하는 총금액을 직관적으로 파악하기 어렵게 만들 수 있습니다. 사용자가 결제 구조를 한 번에 이해할 수 있도록 개선했으면 합니다. 개인적으로는 앱에서 가장 중요한 것이 사용자의 신뢰라고 생각합니다. 그런데 처음부터 기능보다는 결제를 유도한다는 느낌을 받게 되면, 이후에 아무리 좋은 기능이 있더라도 서비스 자체를 신뢰하기 어려워집니다. 사용자에게 먼저 충분히 체험할 기회를 제공하고, 마음에 들었을 때 자연스럽게 유료 서비스를 선택하도록 만드는 것이 더 좋은 방식이라고 봅니다. 물론 개발과 AI 서비스 운영에 비용이 발생하기 때문에 유료 서비스 자체를 문제 삼는 것은 아닙니다. 좋은 기능이라면 당연히 비용을 지불할 의향도 있습니다. 문제는 그 가격에 상응하는 가치가 있는지, 그리고 사용자가 결제 조건을 충분히 이해한 뒤 자발적으로 선택할 수 있도록 구성되어 있는지입니다. 제가 사용하면서 받은 인상은 이 두 가지 모두 만족스럽지 못했습니다. 무료 이용 범위를 명확히 표시하고, 결제 전에 전체 가격과 구독 조건을 눈에 띄게 안내하며, 유료 기능이 실제로 어떤 추가 가치를 제공하는지 구체적으로 보여주었으면 합니다. 또한 사용자가 몇 번이라도 핵심 기능을 제대로 체험해 본 뒤 결제를 판단할 수 있도록 체험 범위를 확대하는 것도 필요해 보입니다. 현재 상태에서는 다른 사람에게 추천하기 어렵습니다. I should not have to put in my credit card information for a free trial. This is a tactic to make more money off of people forget to cancel. It makes the app extremely unwelcoming. Changing this is possible, the pay wall is their number one complaint.
