While the match played fine on my phone, trying to stream it to another device resulted in a completely different match being shown. Customer support was useless—no assistance at all. The app’s interface is a nightmare: clunky, hard to navigate, and making it difficult to find what you want. It constantly glitches, adding to the frustration. To top it off, it took me over an hour just to figure out how to cancel my subscription. I ended up cancelling on the same day I paid—losing $15 isn’t even the issue anymore, I just never want to deal with this awful app again. I’d rather give up watching sports altogether than use this app 🤮 ### 1/5 — Great Content, Useless App *2024-01-08* BeIn has great content at a fair price I reckon but the Apple TV app is an absolute car crash! Takes an age to load, like over ten seconds sometimes? In 2024 on TViOS17.2? Lazy! Response is sluggish (and that’s being generous) with it taking up to 5 seconds sometimes to actually do what you are asking, like simply moving between menu options or scrolling down through items on a page. You have no idea whether it’s registered your menu moves or not until it suddenly bursts into a frenzy of activity trying to catch up on half a dozen requests. If you watch anything on the app and have to quit during playback and come back to it later there is no continue watching where you left off option (that’s a pretty basic function!). Scrubbing backwards or forwards is horrible as well. Also it randomly signs me out of my account and I have to keep signing back in. So all in all another company that knows it has you hostage due to the great content and price but has no interest in making the user experience anything remotely appealing. Shame as a bit of effort with the app UI and it would have been 4 or 5 stars but using this is an absolute joke. ### 1/5 — Worst app I have *2024-01-01* I watched beIN Sports on Foxtel Aus. and really enjoyed it. Once the channels were removed in mid last year I subscribed to the app. to continue to watch those sports, e.g. WTA and ATP. It is dreadful. Every time I want to watch it on my TV where the app. is loaded, I have to log in again. The TV guide is virtually unusable - you have to scroll through each channel individually - all stations are on screen (TV or device) but only able to look at one; even at the same address, for the price, can only watch on one device at a time, including the TV - other subscription services are more generous; it is slow to load at times, buffers regularly (not a problem with other services); a number of sports, e.g. winter sports, are no longer available; of note, it rarely has updates which are regular for my other streaming apps. which suggests to me that you don’t care. Added to this, the user interface is clunky and not intuitive. Would I recommend it to others. - an emphatic NO. I will be emailing the WTA and ATP suggesting that once their arrangement with beIN expires they look elsewhere as what is being provided is difficult and expensive to access, given the problems, and is harming their product. ### 1/5 — Needs some serious work *2023-10-22* The app really doesn’t work well, when you try to stream on a tv, if you touch the app controller it reset to the start and change the audio setting. This is basic functionality which should be tested and make sure it works. In addition if you don’t see a game live from the start, you cannot cast it from the begging, but only on your device, so if you want to watch it on tv from the beginning, you need to wait that the match is finished and that is uploaded, which can take HOURS!!! Are you guys serious?! When I was casting your content on Kayo last year, they were uploading straight away, how come you haven’t been able to do that yet?!?! VERY DISAPPOINTING. ### 1/5 — The worst app *2023-08-26* A total waste of time and money. After watching a game from the English Championship during my 7 day free trial, I paid the fee and joined up so that I could watch my newly relegated team play their games this season. That’s what their advertising suggests, but that’s not what they provide. Only a small percentage of the games are available and for $15 a month, that’s a ripoff. That, and the streaming/playback app itself is absolutely pitiful. Join a live game after it’s started and you don’t have the option to play from the beginning, you’re given no choice but to watch it live. There’s no rewind, no ten seconds back or forward, it lags, it’s constantly buffering and freezing and, if you decide, as I did, to give up and just watch the highlights the next day, you can’t even do that. It’s the whole game or nothing and, don’t forget, you can’t skip forward or even jump forward five or ten minutes or so, it really is THE WHOLE GAME OR NOTHING 😡🙄 So, its nothing. I’m out. (Now I’m finding that canceling my subscription is almost as difficult 😡😡🤬) ### 1/5 — Very poor app *2023-07-17* Like many others I was shocked when FOXTEL removed the BeIN sports channels without notification and so looked to access the channels directly with the BeIN Connect app. Unfortunately, the App is horrible. Anything I start watching (using my Apple TV) stops streaming at random points and often had to login again to access any content. I trialed if for an hour and gave up! The FOXTEL channel removal seems like an ideal opportunity for BeIN to gain a lot of new customers, but it’s an opportunity lost as the streaming App is so bad. Can’t understand this at all when the company’s business is based on delivering content!! Why not spend the money to develop a robust App - like all the ‘good’ streaming Apps out there (Prime, Netflix, etc)? **Developer response:** Hi Snood113355, we have not been able to reproduce the issue you have mentioned. SOOOO frustrating; for example, the most highly anticipated semi final of Monte Carlo between Sinner and Rune was ABBREVIATED! Whole games - almost the whole third set - was skipped. No final at all for Charleston. Other tournaments only 3 of 4 quarter finals are shown. Winners of previous rounds are revealed by more recent matches being listed. If a match is being broadcast on a channel, even if it’s not live, it is not available in the video list, so it can’t be watched from the beginning. One video was only 40min long - it was the end of a match after a lengthy rain delay and the first set and a half were already played. Just lousy attention to detail; definitely not worth paying for. I’m a tennis tragic but I will unsubscribe because it is not worth the disappointment of not seeing what I expect. **Developer response:** Hi the82beamer, Monte Carlo Semi Final was abbreviated due to a clash with other program, but it was available on the Xtra Channel. This can be seen in the description. ### 1/5 — Please do better *2025-10-19* I’ve finally had enough and need to say something, I’m sick of avoiding seeing the score on all media platforms to then go into the app and have it show me the score every single time, I turned off spoilers but no matter what I do it ends up popping up either at the beginning or when the video glitches and fast forwards to the end of match. You would think a company that makes this much money on subscriptions would be able to pay a programming designer to do a better job. I wish the serie A was back on Kayo so I didn’t have this problem… Can someone please buy the serie a license of of these clowns, the app never works properly and I end up just watching highlights online, waste of money… guys spend some time and money on your app…… **Developer response:** We’re aware of this issue and are actively working on a fix. The picture quality is absolutely awful and nowhere near what they advertise as “HD.” The stream is constantly blurry, jittery, bouncy, and not sharp at all. On a big screen TV, it looks even worse — like I’m watching a low-quality free betting site stream such as Bet365, not something I’m paying a monthly subscription for. I raised this issue with beIN more than a week ago and did everything they asked from a troubleshooting point of view. I ran speed tests (my internet is more than fast enough), I sent them short clips of the poor stream quality, and even provided examples from other matches like Bundesliga as they requested. Despite all this, the problem remains exactly the same. The only response I get is a copy-and-paste reply that “engineers are actively working on the issue.” That is not good enough. Customers are paying for a service that claims to provide high-quality live sport, yet what we receive is closer to an unreliable, grainy stream that completely ruins the viewing experience. I even filled in their follow-up form yesterday, only to get the same dismissive answer. This is a complete joke. If beIN cannot provide the quality service they promise, then they should stop charging customers until they can actually deliver, or better yet, hand over the broadcast rights to another provider who has the infrastructure and care to do it properly. Football fans deserve better. Right now, beIN is nothing but pathetic, unreliable. I cannot enjoy my favourite matches, and I feel cheated every time I log in. BeIN needs to take responsibility and fix this — not hide behind empty statements while continuing to collect subscription fees. ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2025-02-15* So disappointing the Bein have the exclusive rights for many sports in Thailand yet have a service so difficult to use. Main problems: Chromecasting is fraught with errors. Regular dropouts when watching live or replays. Restarting the video after the drop out takes you back to the beginning, and the new UI has no way to scrub back to the point you were previously viewing. Not to mention seriously compromising the viewing experience with interruptions. I use the Google Home app to scrub, seems ridiculous this is not available within the app. Picture quality also jumps around like crazy. We have very fast FTTH internet and still often experience seriously low resolution, really not good enough for sport viewing. I am not willing to watch the sport that I want on my phone, you need to improve your bandwidth during times of high use. I have started support tickets several times with Bein and have never received a response, despite sending in videos and screenshots of my issue. Pay no attention to the responses to “get in touch” that you see on the App Store, there is nobody home in their customer service dept. Unfortunately, this app is the only way to view some sports in Thailand - though I often find other ways to watch the sport I want due to the in usability of this service. I have cancelled this service multiple times through sheer frustration and have received a refund each time, the subscription gets cancelled also unfortunately. I would recommend this to those receiving sub-standard service, money talks. Please improve your service Bein - many other providers offer a far superior service for less. To the providers contracting their sports to Bein, you are doing damage to your brand. Please choose a provider that can actually deliver the sports to the viewers, not create an absolutely terrible and frustrating experience 9.5 times out of 10. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2024-12-19* I didn’t know an app could be this bad. It’s almost impressive that a group of people have managed to create something so broken. This is the first review I’ve ever left on an app (that’s how bad this is). The streaming is generally awful, half the replays you click on won’t even work. If a game is already being played but you want to watch it from the start, you can pretty much give up on that. It won’t work. If a match has just finished and you’d like to watch the replay, forget about it. It’ll just be a placeholder image that you’re attempting to click on. Come back in a couple of hours and they might have the replay working. The horrendous app is matched by the lacklustre lineup of pundits and presenters. Where did they find these people? They’re completely out of touch and give the audience the sense that they haven’t watched a single match all season. If you want to pay $15 a month for an app that literally does not work and will barely allow you to watch any football, then this is the app for you. **Developer response:** Hi. GO Leeds! ### 3/5 — Not happy *2026-08-19* Firstly I have complained before that when it comes to WTA TOURNAMENTS every match replays are just lumped together under one day or evening matches. Example Cincinnati Day 5 or Cincinnati Evening 5 I have to scroll thru and watch replays I am not interested till I get to the last match eg. Rybakina vs French that was on recently Unlike ATP MATCHES that are individually posted that makes it easy to select to watch replays. Eg. I can select Fritz vs Merida match. Or Jodar vs Tabilo. When are you guys going to fix this issue? Also transmission is erratic and keeps buffering which is a big frustration! There is no problem with my internet. If you leave the app and come back often the video is black can’t get it to work again unless you exit the video and enter again which again looses your place in the match. So I have to play it on my iPad and airlift it to the PC which means I can’t record the matches later in the night, can’t see who’s playing later without disconnecting from the airlift thing and reconnecting, can’t convince my husband it’s worth it. How on earth have they made such a mess of something that until last month was such consistently good value? I tried to watch the Miami ATP Final with Djokovic and Mensek. It dropped off 5 times or more, at pivotal moments eg I missed the first tie break!, got back in the 2nd game second set. Across multiple devices and different internet connects, won’t play it. Black screen of nothing.
