### 3/5 — Keeps asking to subscribe even after subscribing

*2025-07-14, version 3.9.6*

Every time I open the app it resets and asks the basic question and name again. Can you fix this?

### 5/5 — its different and so much better

*2023-11-24, version 3.8.3*

i have tried many mental health apps but i promise being is where my search ends. i wasn’t sure. i thought this is going to be yet another app i download and try but as soon as i signed in and i realized its different. issues are designed to be relatable to what i am going through and solutions are so very personalized for me — as if the maker made this app specifically for me

I recently tried a mental health app that seamlessly combines AI-driven therapy with CBT techniques. The anxiety module provides effective coping strategies, and the journal feature encourages consistent self-reflection. The app's focus on personalized self-care plans helped alleviate stress, making it a valuable tool for mental well-being.

I’ve been using this app for a week now and I can already vouch for it. Totally love the interface and the calming music that plays in the background. The therapy sessions are customised to my issues which makes my experience so much more meaningful and helpful. Not only this, the app also gives me the space to jot down my feelings which helps me connect with myself better. This is an amazing app and I highly recommend using this as your go-to wellness checkpoint.

### 5/5 — I love this app for my personalized mental health journey.

*2023-11-17, version 3.8.2*

There are so many things I like about Being. I love how easy it is to customise your mental health concerns in forms of discomforts rather than using an actual scientific term for it all. It gives the feeling of a more personalised approach to therapy rather than just a generic solution. I love how warm and easy on the eyes the UI and colours are in the app, and I love the little animations that pop up. The mini therapies have helped me a lot in the last few months dealing with homesickness, extreme anxiety and discomfort and loneliness. Thank you, Being, you let me just be :)
This is a great concept and a great app. I’ve recommended it to a couple of friends already.

### 5/5 — Your friend in need

*2023-11-11, version 3.5.7*

Started using this app and have loved the experience. It has a calming effect on my anxiety overall. I like the background music it plays. Also the graph seemed super interesting. I would recommend this app to anyone who is looking for a mental health friend.

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2023-11-10, version 3.5.7*

I came across this app while looking for good online solutions to take care of my mental health. So far, I really like the journaling prompts and the personalized approach that the app takes. Didn't find many apps out there that do that. So far so good👍

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2023-11-10, version 3.5.7*

Just downloaded Being and already feeling more at ease. Love how it encourages me to jot down my thoughts and offers simple relaxation exercises. I will be making good use of it especially to get through the depressing German winter!

### 5/5 — Totally worth it

*2023-11-10, version 3.5.7*

I’ve been using it for a bit and heard my friends talk about this mental health app - I hesitantly tried it and it’s amazing. Unlike any other mental health support app I’ve tried before. Very personalised to my issues and problems. Would definitely recommend it

### 5/5 — Amazing customisation in the app

*2023-11-08, version 3.5.7*

The app really helps me navigate through the problems I'm going through. Because of how the therapies are customised according to my problems, it helps me get that "personal touch".

### 5/5 — Love the update!

*2023-11-04*

I love that the new update of the app comes with an option to so deeply customise your therapy journey and mapping. The suggestions are so realistic and they make me feel like I’m not the only one going through that specific problem in my head. The colours and deeper and give a sense of warmth to the user. Love the app overall!

### 5/5 — Very unique and truly a game changer!

*2023-11-03, version 3.5.6*

The content is top-notch with a wide range of resources and expert guidance that have helped through my mental health journey. I can't recommend it enough to anyone looking to improve their well-being.

### 5/5 — As good as human

*2023-11-03, version 3.5.6*

I have tried to navigate my way through a lot of mental health apps but none do it like Being!

1. The interface is so welcoming and calming
2. They not only know what to ask you, but also have some answers that have a high probability matching your life. It’s like they are inside your mind.
3. The music is so soothing it is half job done
4. The sign up is easy, quick and the customer journey there on is very smooth. The content is so conversational, it feels like I’m talking to a human but I’m still in my own space. The perfect blend.

So happy to have stumbled upon this app! Can’t wait to explore more! Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — The best mental health app out there

*2023-11-03, version 3.5.6*

I recently started using Being, and it has truly been a game-changer for me. The app provides a wealth of resources to help improve mental well-being and mindfulness. The guided meditation sessions are incredibly calming and have helped me reduce stress and anxiety. The journaling feature allows me to reflect on my thoughts and emotions, promoting self-awareness. "Being" has become an essential part of my daily routine, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enhance their mental health and inner peace.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Use to Be Good - Locking User Out If They Don’t Pay

*2023-04-03, version 3.0.3*

The app recently got a complete overhaul in which they have locked out 99% of users on a waitlist.

The app use to be wonderful and really helped me on multiple occasions. The layout was clean, simple, and easy to navigate and I felt there was a lot of content to explore. I found the therapies were helpful because they were so specific.

Now, the company has launched its “mapping” system. I completely understand slowly rolling out a new feature to your users and offering to pay to get in. This is just a beta and it’s a normal business strategy.

However, the company has instead chosen to lock out any user who doesn’t pay to leave the “waitlist”. I had thought this waitlist would be a separate thing, however you cannot access the app in its entirety. You would think they would be able to allow you to access the app’s old content while allowing some people the new features, but no. They chose to spit in the face of longtime users.

And FYI, it’s interesting that there are so few reviews for a popular app. Especially when I remember there use to be more. Almost as if the reviews are “disappearing”… 🤔
Plus, the new app icon is very obnoxious.

I hope you take your user’s comments into account and fix this mess. I thought the old version was amazing, and I’m disappointed to see how it’s ended up…

### 1/5 — Beyond heart broken

*2023-03-16, version 3.0.2*

Ive been using this app for years and it has gotten me through so much, what is with this ridiculous update? And the awful app icon? I am so disappointed

### 1/5 — Your 1 star rates are skyrocketing.

*2023-03-05, version 3.0.0*

Was here when the app wasn’t known much, you didn’t have to pay, had wonderful things like music and the therapies ofc. But for some reason they changed everything, now you have to pay, and you are on a waitlist… ridiculous honestly. And now on top of everything you need a discord and some people just don’t have access to that or just DONT want it. Honestly, even the entire app’s design downgraded, it went from a calm and plain not overwhelming design to constant swirls and colors and off outing design that is actually anxiety inducing to many people I know. I would love recommending this app to many of my family and friends but now will no longer be downloading it again, and will move on to other, better apps. If y’all want a better app I suggest flinch, and a few others that are free and very calm in design and don’t have to pay. Really grateful for how the app Used to be, but goodbye to this new and “Improved” update.
Also the 1 star rating went crazy after the update, this app screams about how much it listens to its users but unfortunately is losing many of them. I was also one of the people who suggested added “Voice” to the app because it would help a lot of people. Glad they listened for that. But everything else was a huge downgrade.

### 1/5 — Not at all What Psychotherapy is About

*2022-12-13, version 1.7.0*

Apps like this - while helpful - are absolutely wrong in terming what they offer as “therapy”. This is not therapy - not even close to it. Just like a self-help book is not a “friend” whatever this app offers is not “therapy”. Please use a different name for what you offer, which is basically some supportive suggestions and journaling prompts.

### 1/5 — Buggy, poorly designed, unhelpful. Don’t waste your time.

*2022-08-09, version 1.6.1*

The app feels buggy and unpolished. It overloads you with information that isn’t relevant to your situation. Plus, the sound can’t be disabled which is not a sensory-friendly experience. It’s not clear about the mental health friend option.

Most importantly, the app sent me to a third party site to pay for a subscription. This seems SUPER scammy.

### 1/5 — Datamining and Unlicensed Mental Health “Friends”

*2022-08-08, version 1.6.1*

App says it’s here to help, but right off the bat it takes your contact info and diagnostics data without your permission. I open it up to get help for feeling stressed and it starts playing music with no way to turn it off, after telling me firmly to just plug in my headphones. What if your users aren’t in a place where they can listen to their headphones or broadcast loud music, like I ended up doing. The part of the app about stress was stressfully very long, with an overwhelming amount of information about problems I didn’t even think I had, but now I’m not sure, maybe I do need help because nobody likes me because I’m unattractive??? Maybe suggesting that there is something wrong with people that choose not to date during a pandemic is fine and I should read the section called “I feel scared to date again???” I was interested in the “talk to a mental health friend” feature, but it has wait times to access, and now I’m wondering, since the app warns users that you shouldn’t rely on it for true crises, if the people that pretend to be your friend are fully qualified/licensed mental health professionals, and if they are paid properly for their mental health guidance, as there is a huge price difference between this app and apps like Betterhelp that openly advertise their guidance as being given by licensed mental health practitioners. Hmmm. I wonder who they hire here and what those people tell other people about me and my mental health and the data that they take from my phone, hmmm…

### 1/5 — Not helpful at all

*2022-08-07, version 1.6.1*

Very bad experience with the app. Unprofessional to say the least

### 1/5 — Unimpressed

*2022-08-07, version 1.6.1*

Don’t know what’s special about the app. Guided meditation and stuff is available for free on other platforms. Did not enjoy the experience of using it.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2022-08-07, version 1.6.1*

I deleted my entire account and the app still charged my card 30 dollars. Scam.

### 1/5 — Being Bad

*2022-07-17, version 1.6.1*

Talking about mental health is not enough. You’ve got to exude it…

### 5/5 — Wonderful app

It’s a really beautiful and useful app. It is not that intuitive at first, but it is very complete. Even gives a mind map on one’s discomforts. Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — Just what I needed

*2023-12-03, version 3.8.4*

I've just recently come across being when a friend recommended it and it's been the best thing lately. I've had issues with making boundaries with people around me but since I started using being it's been better.

### 5/5 — A fantastic app

*2023-12-03, version 3.8.4*

One of its kind app. It feels that there is some one who understands you and your problem and is not trying to judge you. Background Music also makes you feel calm. Give it a try!

### 5/5 — Nurturing mindfulness

*2023-12-03, version 3.8.4*

Being is a breath of fresh air in the bustling world of mental health apps. Its serene interface and user-friendly design make navigating the app a calming experience in itself.

### 5/5 — being in real took care of me!

*2023-11-29, version 3.8.4*

I suffered from postnatal depression after my delivery & being sailed me through. Firstly the calm music makes you feel that it’s just made for you! A journal where I could write my thoughts. It curated map for me where I could know my discomforts and work upon them.
Thank you being :) for taking care of me when no one did ♥️

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2023-11-24, version 3.8.3*

Wonderful app for high functioning people looking to keep a tab on their mental health with a variety of discomforts. Also works well for people post concluding psychotherapy as part of maintenance phase!

### 5/5 — Best app for mental wellness!

*2023-11-24, version 3.8.3*

I have tried many apps in the past like headspace and calm, but being really helped me in more ways than one. It’s the best app, and the fact that it is Indian is a cherry on top.
