### 4/5 — Inspirational and Noisy

*2026-07-08, version 3.28*

I was looking for just a plain journal and found this app. It has a lot of nice and inspiring features.

This app service still has some privacy concerns, but it doesn’t look like I’ll find much different, elsewhere. Or maybe I just didn’t understand what I read.

The app has a lot of features that I like, but there are so many features that are all over the place that it feels noisy and confuses my mind when I look at it. If there was a way to contact the designers, I’d request the ability to turn some of it off, maybe have it accessible by a side menu and not all over the place.

I’d also like to add some features like being able to add / sync workout results or dietary results, and maybe even some other stats from the Health app automatically into a journal entry. Or even apps like Strava.

### 4/5 — Inspirational Quotes Blurred and No Longer Visible on App

*2025-12-01, version 3.28*

Motivational quotes on app blurred and no longer viewable. Please fix.

### 3/5 — Despite Annoying Bugs But Still Valuable

*2025-11-19, version 3.28*

Perhaps this app isn’t rewarding enough for the creators to correct some issues. Somehow the day after making 3 reflections in one day after a streak of more than a week it says I am on a 1 day streak. And where did my latest reflection go? Database error? Of course then there is the issue of all days showing the same day when you open from a notification. Then there is the condescending “what’s going on in that little head of yours?” notification. Ok, maybe it doesn’t say “little” but it doesn’t get a good response from me so I’m turning off notifications. Other than that, this is an otherwise well conceived app that’s filled with gems of wisdom that sometimes resonate. I just hope that it doesn’t break, because I already formed a habit of using it to my benefit. Come on developer, turn this into a dependable app. I’ll be happy to change my rating.

### 4/5 — Helps Make the Unconscious Conscious

*2025-10-29, version 3.28*

Today’s quote from Karl Yung (spelling?) sums up what this app is doing quite well - making the unconscious conscious. It’s well thought out with diverse quotes from various religions and philosophers, so you actually learn something while you learn about yourself. The app is quite intuitive to use, or I wouldn’t still be using it! And I would not be writing this now.
What could be improved is the random selection of templates offered each day to reflect. These tend to repeat, even while I know I haven’t tried others. At this time there is also a bug that shows every day as Tuesday, I think. I believe that happens when you access the app from the notifications. To fix it, I found that I can go between the reflections and back to goals, and the days will be corrected. Another thing I don’t like is being notified of goals to be done after I have already checked them off. Overall, this app is a reflection of a clear minded person, and it seems to be helping me to also have a clear mind. I love the choice of moving backgrounds. Awesome work from the creator.

### 5/5 — Who would’ve thought

*2025-01-23, version 3.28*

I doubted journaling could help me but I definitely was wrong it definitely brings clarity and the willingness to adapt just by writing my feelings it helps with compartmentalization

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2025-01-07, version 3.28*

I supper recommend, we can always learn with our experiences. It can help with our strengths. Though experiences can make us more Empathetic and stronger.
Good one can keep our motivation and build a peaceful atmosphere.
Why not give a try?

### 4/5 — Well thought through features and prompts

*2024-10-24, version 3.27*

I like how they have structured the different parts of the app; journal, goals and habits.

Favourite feature is that within journaling I can record a ‘learning’ - which I can then filter by, so I can go back to review just these from time to time, without having to review all my journals. It might be good to maybe have the feature to copy from a normal journal post into a ‘learning’ or create new goal from learning…

### 5/5 — Anonymous

*2024-09-25, version 3.27*

As long as have the BeingMe App and access.. no one knows but you. Telling your deepest dark secrets that no one has access unless you want them to.. I’ve let a tremendous amount of secrets out, I feel a load lifting off me.. To me it’s like talking to Jesus, it will never be revealed.

### 5/5 — Enjoying the App Again Due To Excellent Support!

*2024-09-23, version 3.27*

I had some issues briefly accessing some of the content on the app, due to what appeared to be a glitch of some sort. The quick response I received from the developer, as well as the support dept. was appreciated. I am back to enjoying this app which has been a valuable tool and a pleasure to use.

### 4/5 — Incredible but you need to pay a subscription

*2024-09-01, version 3.27*

I love this app so far it helped me to change my mindset but mann why I have to pay to add more stuff to do :( if it wasn’t for this I would give it a 10 star review😂 and even share it with friends

### 5/5 — Best diary app, totally worth the $30 annual fee

*2024-05-24, version 3.27*

All of the features are perfectly tailored to exactly what I needed out of a diary.
The prompts and questions really help a lot.

### 5/5 — Huge help in life journey

*2024-03-21, version 3.26*

This app has been an incredible journaling tool to help me in my healing journey. Phenomenal prompts for deep conversations with yourself. I love how I can also track my progress with the habits I am trying to build. Using this in conjunction with my meditation practice has been a huge help over the last few months. It’s helping me find my way back to me again. Huge kudos!

### 3/5 — Adapt the look? Font size, colors, etc?

*2024-02-13, version 3.25*

I really like this app so far. I do wish there was a way to change the look of it. It’s kind of busy for my taste, but I like the content.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2024-01-23, version 3.25*

I Write my prayers every morning and every time I have something to say. I love this app!

### 5/5 — I use this app to journal almost every day

*2024-01-10, version 3.24*

This app is great. Every time I just need to vent I hop on here and write everything I’m feeling.

### 5/5 — An App that supports me.

*2023-12-14, version 3.24*

Everyone needs a private space where one can unload and yet feel supported. This App ‘Being Me’ allows me to write down what is on my mind without being conscious of anyone seeing it.
It’s like a supportive friend who spurs you on to achieve greater heights.
That’s my view from here.

### 5/5 — Inspiration from the Minds of GREAT PEOPLE!

*2023-12-11, version 3.24*

I enjoy reading inspirational quotations, beliefs and advice from great people like Mother Theresa. I also appreciate sharing what matters to me most and doing journal entries. This app is extremely easy to use and it gets me involved. The exercises are meaningful. And yes, it’s all about me and helping me to be my best ME!!!!!!

### 4/5 — Timely Assistance

*2023-11-19, version 3.24*

Sorry for yelling, but I AM SO HAPPY BECAUSE I RECEIVED THE PASSWORD RESET, CHANGED MY PASSWORD, AND CAN LOG IN TO MY ACCOUNT AGAIN YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Scam

*2025-06-11, version 3.28*

Robbed me out of $5

### 1/5 — Share

*2023-11-23, version 3.24*

We miss Samsung had a share journal app for couples

### 1/5 — Lost Access to My Data in Two Accounts

*2023-11-17*

I use my account every day. Sometimes, multiple times daily. Therefore, I don't understand why I was automatically locked out of my account after using it earlier in the day a few days ago. After contacting support about being unable to log into my account after many attempts after requesting a password reset and changing my password, I was told it was under another email address. I repeatedly requested a password reset to that email address and never received it. I tried setting up a new account under both email addresses and received a message that they were already in use. I am locked out of both of my accounts. It was not bad enough that I could never backup my data, but now I do not have access to it. If I could give a zero rating, I would because this is unacceptable. I am waiting for someone to contact me about my accounts.

### 1/5 — So if you are going to charge …

*2022-09-25, version 3.24*

If these developers would just be honest up front and say “there is a charge “ I may actually buy it. It’s not an issue. The issue is the essence of deception. It feels deceptive therefore I’m not going to buy it. If it’s free it’s fine , if it costs it’s fine , but if you don’t tell me that , I download the app, give my info and THEN find out it’s a cost , I feel tricked and I’m not buying. I have had Apple for over 12 yrs and it has been wonderful . I have apps that I paid for in my device but I knew there was a vcost when I downloaded it : clear and honest advertisement . But have deleted multiple apps because they are not clear . This seems to happen ALOT now , and I think Apple should REQUIRE developers to be upfront about this..

### 1/5 — The app is missing a valid thing!!

*2022-02-21, version 3.18*

Love the app so much that I wanted to share it with family and friends but they all speak and read Arabic! Do u mind if I translate the app for u? Do u mind if I partner with u for making the app available in other languages to benefit as much people as you can?

Please I want to share it with my loved ones!

### 1/5 — No support

*2022-02-07, version 3.18*

Why can’t I contact support

### 1/5 — App is misleading

*2021-06-17*

It is a great app. I loved it for the first 24 hours when they apparently let you use premium features for free without signing up for the free trial. Then they just take them away. I would have preferred to have to subscribe or do the free trial to ever have access to those features. Now the app seems pointless and I will probably delete it. I understand the point of it having the premium subscription, but to give access to those features without signing up for anything then just take it is very misleading about what is free/what is paid. If it had been just the freeform for the entire time then I would still think the app was awesome and keep using it/maybe recommend it. But I just can’t get behind an app that misleads you.

### 2/5 — Nope

*2020-07-28, version 2.33*

Only used it a couple of days and then it wanted me to pay for it. Delete !!

### 2/5 — No mention of the whole whole app being premium

*2020-07-08*

Great concept! I genuinely like it, I just don’t like that there’s little mention of how the premium features include literally every feature in the app after a certain time. I used the free form feature about once a week just to check in and monitor my mental health. Then one day I just couldn’t. Everything I tried to do gave me a pop up to pay for premium features. I understand you need to make money, but there’s no warning about at what point I’ll need to start paying to use the app.

### 2/5 — Just another subscription app.

*2020-02-28, version 2.22*

I thought this app was going to have unlimited free basic functionality and separate paid premium functionality. It doesn’t. The free version gives you a couple trial entries for the journal, habits, and goals. After you enter 2-3 entries of each it locks. I am not paying subscription just to have the honor of typing out my own thoughts and feelings. I would pay a one time fee to unlock unlimited entries. I might subscribe if excellent self help content was pushed to the app monthly.
Two stars. One star for monthly subscription required and the other because it does look decent.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Beautiful App and Great Customer Support!

*2026-05-09, version 3.28*

I have enjoyed using this app for quite some time, but recently had an issue and reached out to customer support. I am happy to say that they politely responded and offered assistance which was appreciated!

### 5/5 — Best journaling app

*2026-04-13, version 3.28*

I love everything this app has to offer. It has journal prompts. It has morning and bedtime journaling prompts as well as freestyle journaling, as well as quotes to get you through the day and it’s completely free. I love everything this app has to offer.

### 5/5 — 🌟 please fix streak problem

*2026-01-31, version 3.28*

Update Jan 31 2026:
I have been faithfully using the app daily for all of last year. I should be able to keep my streak if I interact with the app since all aspects of interaction are a form of self love and self care. Instead if I don’t “create a new journal entry” I lose my entire streak even though I am showing up exactly how I need to for myself. Other self care apps allow me to keep my streak if I show up in the app vs taking a specific step to get the streak credit. Please fix this and give me my streak back in my acct and once you do I’ll
Update my review back to 5 Stars. It’s extremely gas lighting and discouraging and triggering to lose my streaks when I showed up in the app using it the way I felt most served me.

One nore request to the developers: I would LOVE to be able to add photos or vision board images to each goal. For example, adding a picture of myself at my goal weight or a visual that represents a personal dream would make it even more powerful and inspiring.

My previous review:
I tell everyone about this app whenever I get the chance. The Being Me App has been one of the most transformative tools in my healing journey. I use it every single day—not just to journal, but as a sacred space to return to myself, process emotions, and set goals that actually align with the life I want to live. What makes this app even more powerful for me is that I often process my journal entries in deeper layers using ChatGPT, then paste those reflections back into the app. This loop of self-expression and expanded understanding has brought me profound clarity, emotional freedom, and a sense of forward momentum I hadn’t felt in years.

For the first time, I don’t feel stuck in old energy. I don’t feel lost in the swirl of my thoughts. I feel anchored—like I’ve finally begun living in alignment with who I really am.

The Goals section is an absolute game changer. I use it to track specific habits every day—like logging my food (which I’ve now done for 90 days in a row!), staying present with my children, and moving toward meaningful milestones in my health and personal growth. The ability to check off habits tied to long-term goals has helped me stay consistent and motivated without feeling overwhelmed. It’s simple, but incredibly effective.

This app has truly changed my life. If you’re someone who wants a space to be real with yourself, to evolve, to track habits that matter, and to move from surviving to becoming—download this app. You will not regret it. It’s more than a journaling tool. It’s a mirror, a compass, and a daily companion for inner freedom.

With so much gratitude,
Melinda

### 5/5 — So Grateful for This App

*2025-08-04, version 3.28*

I’m so grateful for this app. An interactive journaling practice guided by wisdom and best practices is just what I needed to get through challenges and to get to the next level of well-being. Thank you to all the good people who put this out in the world and who tend it :)

### 5/5 — Good review

*2025-07-03, version 3.28*

I don’t know what I was expecting, but this was better than I thought. I think in time it will help me to become more of a person in a way I guess. I already enjoy writing, so the journaling aspect wasn’t bad at all. I also liked the goal setting part and the reminder things.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2025-05-03, version 3.28*

I love the quotes..the daily reflections and the encouragement on a personal level that this app gives me as well as all the famous quotes from well known artists.

### 5/5 — I like being me and feel everything and everyone.

*2025-02-26, version 3.28*

This is amazing journey, I have a dream, a dream to see all things that I dreamed of. And I love to get out for a short trip I like to fly if it’s possible from Bankstown airport. With a private plane that’s another dream, I’m ready anytime at this moment I felt to go away I don’t know why.
