Then the times were made shorter and shorter. Your levels were regularly cancelled and you had to start again. Plaing times were shortened. Paing for extra time often lost precious seconds and it dragged itself along. Seconds kept getting counted as gems began moving so slowly it started to apoear like a crooked game. Now, when a game is over, there is no extra 30 seconds to play. The gems seem to fall in unwinnable arrangements very early on, in an attempt to get players buying more time from the get go. Another great game has bitten the dust where it can lie in its overly monetised demise. It can join the destroyed Angry Birds that was so wildly popular once. ### 3/5 — Not as much fun now *2026-08-21, version 3.9.1* Used to rate the game 5 stars. Have played it for years. But now it is not nearly as much fun because the option to save the initial captured butterfly and extend the game has disappeared! Why would you get rid of something fun that was optional? If people didn’t like it they didn’t have to do it. Now the game can get over way too quickly. Not fun anymore. The 30 second extra feature to allow player to up the score - gone. After paying for no ads, putting up with having to restore purchases when the game timed out without any notification it had done a 'mystery' update that forced a restore purchase ... they went and removed the paid for option to continue playing to up the score. It no longer asks, game is over. And yes, I am connected to wifi. I only play Lightning mode as the other modes are boring to me. PopCap has changed the ‘Blazing Speed’ to a timed bonus instead of true fast-matching bonus. It’s completely negated any speed play, the entire point of Lightning. Why do you mess with this? I can score nearly 3 million in Lightning but I see videos of people playing MUCH slower than I do and scoring magnitudes higher. It’s not fun anymore. Please rework the algorithm to more normal old-school play. Fast forward to their latest version: The 30 second bonus time, if you’re online, is no longer there. The “Blazing speed” in Lightning mode is STILL a timed garbage bonus instead of real speed. The game is still fun but they don’t generate revenue from me so the developers don’t care what I think. ### 3/5 — More problems *2026-08-10, version 3.9.1* A recent update has stopped my game from being able to ‘continue’.
