There are so many different starting kits and bosses but I feel like it can be a bit rough around the edges sometimes. Some nerfs to the rattler I’d like to see and I think the grid like aspect of the TD is a little bit off putting for the style. The gutters could be intestines or something to fit the theme. Love the creativity and passion that went into this game. No ads and $3 for the full game. Despite calling itself a horror game, nothing truly tries to scare the player. It’s all hand-drawn aesthetics. The core gameplay is a joy. You defeat bosses in a Slay the Spire style level progression, getting a new tower or path each level. The random climbs and various starters add plenty of replay-ability for me. The towers are stupid, the plot of the game makes no sense, the layout is so dumb and on top of that you can’t even upgrade your towers. I downloaded it and you get maybe five minutes of free gameplay. No. However, it scratches the itch of tower placement and routing that makes tower defense fun and the relic and path selection that makes roguelikes so addictive. It’s pretty simple in mechanics and feels a bit like an auto-battler which makes for a short and sweet mobile experience while missing some of the depth that some other auto-battlers aspire to.
