Now living a nightmare thinking I will be robbed at any given moment since they have all my bank account info ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2024-05-25, version 4.27.15* Bellhops is trash and so is the app that doesn’t alert me when I have a job and bothers me to set my availability and then sends me no jobs. I took one of the $62 jobs, and we finished early (not because the job was easier than they anticipated, but because we worked harder). They paid me closer to $42 and told me we finished early so we get paid less. Most customers don’t tip. I drove almost 100 mile round trip (2 job sites for 1 job) and did a few hours of very labor intensive work for $42. Never again. Your first few jobs are assigned, you don’t get to decline working them because you haven’t earned “pro” status. ### 1/5 — Bad company *2023-12-19, version 4.27.5* Don’t expect any second chances, I left for a while to go get a degree in computer science and wanted to do bellhop for the winter, but just because i left they didn’t want to bring me back on, but besides that it is not worth, looking now I’m glad I didn’t do it again. I saw to many people getting hurt while on the job, it is a lot of labor, high risk of moving injury, pull/tear of muscle, or hernia. You will receive way less for the time and energy that you put in on moves. Management doesn’t have a care in the world for your personal or physical well-being and is money and review hungry. Don't expect lots of positive outcomes working for this platform. You will get hyped up to be the best mover but will still be looked at as a worker who is easily replaceable. Even if you’re a great mover your hard work will not be noticed or rewarded. Save your time. I tried appealing it twice and just to have no response at all, no email not even an automative message. As a worker of this company I can speak from experience that most of the people on the platform should not be handling your furniture. These are usually just young college students or people looking for a quick buck. They have no regard for your items and if they do it’s situational. On top of this the management and customer service is horrible. You’ll need help with something as a mover or a customer and will be on hold with someone for HOURS. Only for them to finally call you back with no type of useful information. Lastly if you’re a customer, I would highly suggest making sure you don’t hire this place if your apartment is going anywhere outside of the city you are in. And as a worker here, remember that they don’t care about your well being and deem you as expendable, had a friend go missing and told my company I couldn’t make it to a job because I was going to go find him, and they tried to permanently suspend me because they “didn’t see my messages beforehand”.
