## What is Bellyweather?

Snap a photo. See exactly what's in your food, and how it affects your body.

Bellyweather scans your meals with AI, scores every ingredient across the health dimensions you care about, and tracks how you feel afterward — so you can finally connect what you eat with how you feel.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Scan — Snap a photo, type, or speak. Belli, your AI assistant, instantly identifies every ingredient in your meal.
2. See Your Score — Get a personalized meal score (0-100) with a breakdown across the health dimensions that matter to you: FODMAP, gut impact, glycemic load, inflammation, histamine, and more.
3. Understand Why — Every ingredient is flagged green, yellow, or red with clear explanations. Tap any ingredient to see exactly why it's good, moderate, or something to watch.
4. Track How You Feel — Log stomach comfort, energy, bloating, mood, and mental clarity after each meal.
5. Spot Patterns — Over time, Bellyweather connects your meals to your symptoms, revealing the specific foods behind your best and worst days.

PERSONALIZED TO YOUR BODY

During setup, tell Bellyweather what matters to you — gut health, energy, inflammation, food sensitivities, clean eating, acid reflux, or gout — and every meal score adapts. Choose from 15+ health dimensions including FODMAP, histamine, glycemic load, allergens, inflammatory markers, processing level, and more.

SEE WHAT'S REALLY INSIDE YOUR FOOD

Every ingredient is matched against 2,600+ foods with 15 research-backed health dimensions. No barcode needed — just a photo. For multi-dish meals, Bellyweather breaks everything down by component so nothing is hidden.

Each ingredient shows:

- A color-coded tier: good, mindful, or avoid
- Health tags (High FODMAP, Contains Gluten, Anti-inflammatory, etc.)
- AI-written reasoning explaining why it scored the way it did

SPOT YOUR HIDDEN FOOD TRIGGERS

The Insights tab analyzes weeks of your data to surface patterns you'd never catch on your own — like "garlic appears in 80% of your meals with bloating." Insights are grouped by health dimension (Gut Health, Energy, Inflammation, Sensitivities) and ranked by confidence so you know what to act on first.

EAT OUT WITH PEACE OF MIND

Ask Belli anything about food. Scan a restaurant menu and get personalized recommendations for what to order and what to avoid. Photograph a packaged product for an instant health assessment — scored and explained just like your meals.

GET IN TUNE WITH YOUR BODY

Morning baseline check-ins and post-meal symptom tracking build a complete picture of how food affects your day. Track stomach comfort, energy levels, bloating, mental clarity, mood, and discrete symptoms like gas, heartburn, brain fog, and nausea.

Your Pulse Score — a daily wellness number based on energy and stomach comfort — lets you see trends at a glance across days, weeks, and months.

FEEL BETTER, WEEK BY WEEK

Bellyweather isn't a calorie counter. It's a tool for people who want to understand their body — whether you're managing IBS, following a low-FODMAP diet, tracking food sensitivities, or just trying to figure out why you feel bloated after lunch.

Your health data stays yours. No ads. No sold data.

Download Bellyweather and start eating with confidence.

### 1/5 — 7 day free trial and then you have to pay

*2026-08-16*

I signed with my Apple ID, thinking it could be helpful for my triggers as I often have flare ups. After answering all of the questions, a free trial pops up at the end. You get seven days free until you have to pay. That was disappointing to see. So, I deleted my account. I don’t want to take the time to fill this out everyday, only to have to pay to continue.

**Developer response:** Hi sadfren, thanks for trying Bellyweather and sharing your experience. We understand how frustrating it was to reach the subscription screen after taking the time to complete onboarding. Bellyweather offers a 7-day free trial so people can explore its personalized tracking and insights before deciding whether to continue with a paid subscription. We’d genuinely appreciate the chance to better understand what you were looking for and see how Bellyweather could better support you.

Please email support@bellyweather.com so our team can follow up directly.

### 1/5 — Currently broken with no support

*2026-07-21*

I liked it enough to subscribe but now it won’t show my meals once they’re logged or let me review them. Totally useless for the last few weeks. I emailed them twice and have gotten nothing back.

**Developer response:** Hi Kitty, I’m really sorry you had this experience, especially after subscribing. We reached out privately after seeing your review so we could better understand what happened and help. The latest version includes updates to meal logging and review history, and we’d like to make sure everything is working as expected for you. If you’re open to it, please reply to our message or contact us at support@bellyweather.com.

### 5/5 — Highly informative and user-friendly

*2026-05-05*

I may not be the target user for this app since I don’t experience frequent digestive issues, but I’m finding it so helpful when it comes to learning about what I’m eating and how it might affect me. I love being able to take a photo of a menu and get immediate suggestions about what to consider ordering. I have no doubt that I’m eating more healthfully since I started using this app…if you’re interested in sustainable, long-term healthy eating, you’ll love this.

### 5/5 — Great concept

*2026-04-25*

only been using it a day but I can tell a lot of thought went into this. the ingredient breakdowns are really helpful

### 5/5 — Don't usually leave reviews but

*2026-04-24*

I never write these but I want this app to succeed. It's the first food app I've used that's actually about understanding how what you eat affects your body — not just counting calories or hitting macro targets. You scan your meal and it breaks down the ingredients and shows you which ones might be causing issues for you specifically. It's made me way more conscious about what I'm putting in my body without feeling like I'm on a diet. Really well thought out.

### 5/5 — Way more useful than just tracking macros

*2026-04-23*

I've been trying to eat more anti-inflammatory and gut friendly but theres so much conflicting info online. This just makes it simple. Every meal gets scored, every ingredient is broken down, and if something isn't great it actually suggests alternatives. No guilt tripping just information. This is what I wanted

### 5/5 — this is what I wanted

*2026-04-23*

Not trying to lose weight, just want to eat smarter. Every other app is obsessed with calories. This one actually tells me what's good and bad about the food itself and why. The glycemic scoring alone is worth it

### 5/5 — love learning about what I'm actually eating

*2026-04-22*

I care about what I eat, and the thing I love most is tapping into each ingredient and actually learning about it-like why is turmeric good for inflammation, or why is white rice higher glycemic than brown. It's like having a nutrition education built into every meal. I'm making smarter swaps without even trying that hard

### 5/5 — Really impressed!

*2026-04-21*

Chronic gastritis here. Been paranoid about everything I eat for the past year, like genuinely anxious at meals. This app doesn't cure that obviously but having actual information instead of just anxiety helps a lot. Being able to see WHY something scored the way it did is huge. Honestly would love an option to add custom health dimensions but otherwise exactly what I needed.
