## What is Belot'Chrono?

Belot'Chrono is a Belote trainer. Not a card table: a dojo. You work on the three reflexes that decide a game — counting fast, choosing well, remembering effortlessly.

SPEED COUNTING
A real Belote deal is played out, cards go by, you call out the running total. You pick the side you count: Losing team for a short round, Winning team for the long one. Two ways to answer: multiple choice to get started, number pad when you want speed. Scoring is consistent throughout: all 162 points are there, last trick included, then a bonus question on the opposing score. The summary gives you your time, your mistakes card by card, and a mental effort index that accounts for how hard the additions actually were — not just how many you missed. This is the drill closest to a real game.

TAKE OR PASS
Take it or pass? You see the turned card, your hand, your seat in the bidding. You call it. Difficulty climbs with every good decision, right up to the slip — which is explained, quantified, and never dogmatic: the app states your estimated odds of success and admits the cases where both choices hold up. From medium difficulty on, the second bidding round asks you to name the trump suit yourself. And when you take, you can play the hand out: your eight cards, trick by trick, with your partner against two opponents — to see for yourself whether the hand was worth taking. With as much help as you want: none, an explanation after each card, or the recommended card highlighted. Adjustable mid-hand. And if you only want to play, "Play a hand" starts an 8-trick hand straight from the home screen, no bidding round.

MEMORY TRAINING
Same drill, no safety net: no correction during play, you add up alone all the way through. The summary reveals where your count drifted, the exact card where it happened, and your addition mistakes. That's where progress shows.

LEARN
Card values, trump and non-trump. How a game unfolds, step by step. What science says about the benefits of Belote. Where to find players near you, Belote around the world, and the official site to get in touch.

SPECTATOR MODE
Four characters play out a hand with their cards face up, and every card is explained the moment it falls. You move on at your own pace, and you can call the next card before it lands. Belote seen over a good player's shoulder.

CONSISTENCY
A daily challenge, fresh every morning, and always the same drill: a five-trick deal with the opposing count. Flawless-only: the first mistake ends the round, it counts as an attention slip, and you can retry the same deal. A streak worth keeping — and freezes that protect it: one earned per day played, up to two, spent automatically if you miss a day. A seven-day progress chart, plus the full day-by-day history, to watch your speed improve. The streak, its freezes and the chart are part of Premium.

WHAT THIS APP IS NOT
No ads. No account to create. No server: everything stays on your phone. Available in French, English, Spanish and German — your pick in Settings, independently of your phone's language — in light or dark theme.

PREMIUM
A one-time purchase, for life, no subscription — and every new Premium feature is included afterwards, at no extra cost. It unlocks memory training and the hidden trump in Speed Counting, the seven-day progress chart, the daily streak and its freezes, counting the points and continuing after a revoke in a virtual hand, the home screen widget on Android and iOS, the Royal Gold card deck and the golden "PREM" icon. It also supports the app's development.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.26.0 — 2026-08-17

BelotChrono 1.26.0

REPLAY THE HAND YOU JUST LOST

- Contract down? Take the same deal again, same cards for everyone.
- Every card played shows its points, and the trick its total.
- The daily challenge is always a 5-trick deal, and every mistake counts as an attention slip.
- Your progress full screen: one line per day, speed and effort in figures.
- The in-game help drops the jargon and keeps your trumps for ruffing.

### 1.24.3 — 2026-08-14

BelotChrono 1.24.0

SHARE A PLAYABLE GAME, NOTHING TO INSTALL

- Belot'Chrono now runs in the browser: send a link and anyone can try it without installing.
- A Belot'Chrono link opens the app directly if you already have it.
- Cards finally travel to their seat: virtual game, spectator and counting.
- Decision mode: the hand refreshes during the transition instead of jumping.

### 1.22.0 — 2026-08-11

BelotChrono 1.22.0

NEVER LOSE YOUR STREAK UNNOTICED

- New alert: on the evening your streak is at stake, the app warns you before midnight. One game is enough to save it.
- One notification per evening: the alert replaces the 7pm reminder when both fall on the same night.
- Playing a deal: hints no longer tell you to draw trumps when you hold them all, and your partner no longer throws away an Ace.

### 1.21.0 — 2026-08-09

BelotChrono 1.21.0

PICK YOUR LANGUAGE

- French, English, Spanish, German: set the app language in Settings, no need to touch your phone.
- Daily challenge is flawless-only: the first mistake ends the round, retry the same deal.
- Counting points: one single screen, you pick the side — Losing team (short round) or Winning team.
- Trump stays shown in the middle of the table during the hand.
- Add the widget from the home screen, turn on the 7 p.m. reminder in one tap.

### 1.19.0 — 2026-08-05

New: a home screen widget. Your streak, your last seven days and the daily challenge reminder, without opening the app.

A timer now runs during "Play a hand" and "Take or Pass", with the final time on your summary.

And before a game is paused for inactivity, a countdown warns you first - no more interruption out of nowhere.

Fixed: games were stopping when they shouldn't. Time spent outside the app no longer counts, and a hand can no longer be interrupted for no reason.
