The ai is guessing what the ball would do based on the divot you leave in the mat. Problem is it’s wildly inconsistent and inaccurate. It will say you hit a 40 yard 5 iron and 170 yard 9 iron with the same divot in the same location on the mat. If you plan to use this more than 3-4 times order extra mats. I’m up to 60-70 swings on mine and it doesn’t look like it will hold out much longer. Its not a simulator. The ai is not good enough. At best its a mid level video game. Doesn’t matter what you do with the tripod it won’t work. It would never track my swing and on the rare occasion it would the info would be completely incorrect it does not look at how fast you swing it just looks at where you hit the mat. And also the mat gets destroyed in about 50 swings or my 2nd time using it. I could perfectly hit the mat and if it would read it it would say I hit like half the mat. Overall a terrible product I like the idea it’s just a terrible execution. ### 2/5 — Durability *2026-05-31, version 3.2.1* It’s alright. I’m extremely new to golf so my swings aren’t very consistent. With that being said, the durability on these things are terrible. Granted, I suck, but the fact that one bad swing way behind the ball at the edge of the mat basically ripped a golf ball size hole into the mat should say something. On top of that, yardage is incredibly inaccurate and so is swing path, club face info, it’s all inaccurate. I literally wanted to test it for fun to see if I opened my club extremely and swung to see what it would say and it said super closed. It makes no sense. I did the opposite and closed it extremely and it literally ripped up the mat from 2 inches behind the ball to an inch in front of the ball. It’s unusable now. I had high hopes when buying this thing. But even on good swings, it was still terrible. I have it set up in my back yard and it allows me to take swings while the kids are playing. I think the very few gripes I had were completely user error and update 1.2 will add so many more fantastic features.
