## What is Benefitry?

Built by an Air Force veteran. Benefitry finds every federal, state, and DoD benefit you qualify for and puts a real dollar value on each one, in a single dashboard. No more piecing it together across 14 government websites. Active duty, Guard, Reserve, retired, or separated. Join 3,500+ veterans and service members already using Benefitry.

Over 4,000 benefits, audited against your record. Federal, state, local, VA, DoD, and accredited nonprofit programs are scored against your actual service history, each one citing a .gov source and verified against current rates. Your dashboard sums every dollar across the stack, including what you already earn: basic pay, drill pay, or your retirement pension.

Then claim them, not just know them. Open a benefit, tap Claim, answer a few plain questions, and the real government form appears with your details already in the boxes: the state form for your property tax exemption, the DD form for your record request. Each comes with a cover sheet: exactly where to send it and what to attach. Sensitive boxes like your SSN stay blank on purpose; you write those in yourself. You review it, sign it, and file it. More than 150 forms are live, each one reviewed line by line by a human, and more are being added. Mark each win claimed and watch your yearly total grow. For VA disability claims Benefitry is informational only and points you to a free accredited VSO.

The Discounts Map. A live map of verified military and veteran discounts at restaurants, stores, and businesses around you. Pan anywhere, tap a pin to see the deal and how to claim it in person, and turn on alerts so you never walk past one again. Free for every user.

Six precision calculators, accurate to the dollar. VA disability compensation (38 CFR 4.25 combined ratings, 4.26 bilateral factor, SMC flags), BAH across all 337 DTMO military housing areas, the Post-9/11 GI Bill (tuition, MHA, books, transferability), the GI Bill Monthly Housing Allowance, the VA Home Loan funding fee with exemption logic, and a State Benefits Explorer covering all 50 states and DC.

Your money, in one place. Securely link your bank with Plaid to track real net worth, 30-day cashflow by category, recurring charges and subscriptions, custom budgets, and alerts for large charges, deposits, and low balances. Bank linking is optional and everything else works without it.

An AI assistant that knows your record: branch, rating, GI Bill status, ZIP, clearance. It drafts resumes in federal (USAJOBS), cleared, and commercial formats, translates your MOS, AFSC, or rate into civilian terms, and walks you through VR&E, SkillBridge, and federal hiring authorities. Not a generic chatbot. Your questions are processed by a third-party AI provider; see our Privacy Policy.

What Benefitry is not: not a VSO, not an attorney, not a 5901 claims agent, and not affiliated with the VA, DoD, or any federal agency. We do not file claims, prepare claim materials, draft nexus letters, or charge fees for representation in any VA matter. We never send anything to the government for you. We help you understand what you have earned, then we get out of the way.

Benefitry is an auto-renewing subscription. Start with a 3-day free trial, then $9.99/month or $59.99/year. Full access to the calculators, your personalized benefits dashboard, and the AI assistant requires an active subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. It auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel anytime in iPhone Settings, your name, Subscriptions.

### 1/5 — Sub par

*2026-08-11*

Marketed as revolutionary, functions as a glorified chatbot. And somehow they want bank account access before they’ll tell you a single thing about how they’re securing your data. Hard pass, read the room before you read my routing number.”

**Developer response:** Thanks for the honest feedback, and you have a fair point buried in there. The security details are on our FAQ and privacy page, but if you never went looking for them, that's on us for not putting them where the question actually comes up. We'll fix that.

One thing I want to put your mind at ease on: we don't have your routing number and we have no way to get it. Bank connections go through Plaid, and we only request transaction data. The Plaid product that returns account and routing numbers is called Auth, and we removed it during Plaid's review process because we don't need it. We can't move money and we've never had that ability.

Linking a bank is also completely optional. The benefits side is the heart of the app and works fully without it. Most of our users have never connected an account.

On the app itself, I'd ask you to give the benefits side a look before you write it off. It screens you against over 4,000 federal and state programs, puts a dollar figure on the ones you qualify for, and links the .gov source for each. There are six calculators built to match the VA's published tables exactly, plus a map of in-person military discounts. The AI is one piece of that, not the product.

I'm a veteran, I built this because nobody handed me this list when I got out, and I take it seriously when it misses. If you want to tell me what you were expecting, I'd genuinely like to hear it. Either way, thanks for taking the time.

### 5/5 — Efficient/reliable

*2026-08-07*

Great app. It's easy to use and helps keep all my VA benefits information in one place. Still learning, so far very helpful.

### 5/5 — Best military benefits app

*2026-08-06*

Easy to navigate and very user friendly. So many benefits I didn’t know about. Saved me thousands.

### 5/5 — Easy to track

*2026-07-10*

After I put all my details in this app really makes it easy to keep track of everything

### 5/5 — Useful app

*2026-06-27*

Found a ton of benefits I wasn’t using and the app feels polished and smooth.

### 2/5 — Link bank feature not working?

*2026-06-23*

App would be great if the link bank feature worked….

**Developer response:** Thanks for flagging this you caught a real bug and we fixed it. Bank connections (including reconnecting a bank that lost sync) work properly as of the latest update. Update the app and try again, and if anything still acts up, email contact@benefitry.io and I'll personally sort it out.

### 1/5 — This app sucks

*2026-05-28*

This app sucks price is extreme and the app is super buggy with the information not being completely accurate on everything

**Developer response:** Appreciate the honest feedback, and sorry it fell short. Worth knowing: the web subscription at benefitry.io is $10/mo. If you hit bugs in late May, that was a launch issue we've already fixed, and a much faster, redesigned version is rolling out now. Every dollar figure is pulled from official .gov sources, so if anything looked off, email me directly and I'll correct it personally.

### 5/5 — Money saver

*2026-05-27*

Honestly didn’t realize how much I was leaving on the table. Saw a few thousand a year I wasn’t claiming in like 10 mins. Worth it.
