Why? The app should not refresh or reload the list all the time. Please change it back to manual reload. ### 3/5 — Crashes on search. *2021-11-25, version 2.0.5* Scrolling on this app is fine. Recently it closes out every time I try and open the app. The site is great for finding deals. Having an app is much easier than a browser on a phone/tablet. So if you want to use it you will have to turn off your VPN. However, on my iPad Mini 2 which is stuck on iOS 12 it crashes immediately even after reboot and is useless. On the iPhone, When you scroll down and click on any item and then go back, it automatically puts you back at the top meaning you have to scroll all the way back down again. This “feature” does not exist on the iPad version. Also, the feedback button within the app does not go anywhere. I’m on an iPhone 7, iOS 12.1.3 and the app version is 1.5 Otherwise keep up the good work. Update**** Just updated on the iPad Pro now and the same issue is happening there as well, going to take one star away because they are actually going backwards now. ### 1/5 — Refreshes to top of list after hitting back *2019-01-09, version 1.4* The latest version of this app takes you back to the top of newest when yo go back after viewing a deal. I switched from the mobile web site to the app because of this. Now the app does it too. I do not use the app because of this. The iPhone X and subsequent new iPhones are out and you refuse to update your screen and display settings. It just speaks of laziness on your behalf and is disrespectful to the customers that pay your bills. Now with the most recent update, whenever you view a deal then press the back button it takes you to the home screen but back to the beginning - so you then have to continually scroll back to what you previously were looking at. Fire your app developer....please. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — The app is terrible now *2026-01-01, version 2.1.6* At some point about 68 months ago, they redesigned the app. Now every single time you either link to a product or just go to a different screen and then come back to the app. It goes back to the main page and refreshes. So if you scroll down like 30 or 40 items for something and you click on it, but you forgot to go get the code for the discount when you come back to the app, you have to scroll all the way back down. Find it again then copy the code. Every single time you go back to the app it refreshes to the top of the home screen, and it is the most maddening behavior that never used to happen, but they have royally screwed it up and not fixed it. Ben’s used to be my go to deals app, now I almost never opened it anymore because it’s just so awful of a user experience. The website is fine, it’s just the app. ### 1/5 — Regression: App reloads and loses place on resume *2025-12-18, version 2.1.6* Something has changed in recent versions of this app. Previously, I could briefly leave Ben’s Bargains and return without losing my place. Now, every time the app goes to the background and is reopened, the entire deal list reloads and the scroll position is lost. This happens consistently, even after deleting and reinstalling the app, so it appears to be a behavior change rather than a local issue. This makes browsing deals very frustrating, especially when switching apps momentarily. Please fix this by preserving scroll position or caching the deal list for a short time on resume. This would significantly improve usability. If you click on any item in the app then want to go back it has to fully reload. That means you lose your place, even if you scrolled down many pages. This has been going on for over 4 months but I was unable to post this review until now because I was running the iOS 18 betas. Kudos to the devs for addressing app issues! OLD REVIEW This app is great, if you want a quick overview on what's on the website... but there is one major issue: When you view a product and go back to the listings, the screen refreshes and you're sent back to the top!
