Once you get the app it’s a game changer. Show it on busses, S and U Bahn, show it for discounts. I really like how you can purchase what you need and top up if plans change.

Wir hatten uns schon einige Zeit vor der Reise die WelcomeCard gekauft. Trotz in der Card registriertem Gültigkeitszeitraum war es uns nicht möglich, bereits vor dem Beginn dieses Zeitraums uns interessierende Eintrittskarten zu kaufen. Ärgerlich ist auch, dass man für den Fernsehturm (ohne WelcomeCard) schon vor der Reise Eintrittskarten kaufen kann, um das lästige Anstehen zu vermeiden. Will man aber mit der Card Geld sparen, ist der Kauf der vergünstigten Eintrittskarte nur mit Anstehen an der Kasse möglich. Letztlich haben wir die (teurere) WelcomeCard nur für die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel genutzt.

Viele Angebote sind nicht online buchbar, wenn man den Rabatt nutzen will. Dadurch immer das Risiko, dass man keinen Platz bekommt, wenn man die Karte vor Ort kauft. Bei anderen kann man zwar online buchen, aber nur, wenn man lange genug im Vorhinein bucht, obwohl noch Karten zu regulären Preis verfügbar sind. So ist es zum Beispiel beim Theater Alize. Nächstes Mal lieber eine sieben Tage für die Öffis beim BVG kaufen

I’ve often used similar tourist cards when visiting new cities to cram in multiple attractions for a more reasonable price. The Berlin Welcome Card offers one of the best values I’ve seen. With the all-inclusive card, you can visit multiple top museums at no extra charge and choose to include public transit costs as well. Berlin has one of the highest densities of museums in the world, so the card yields substantial savings if your goal is to visit multiple over a few days. Once your card is active, the app always allows you access your public transit ticket and attraction ticket even with spotty internet. However, it doesn’t always allow you access all the app features due to occasional software bugs. The app team does try to address them quickly, so it wasn’t a major issue for me.

Über die App konnte ich problemlos die WelcomeCard kaufen, um damit mit den ÖPNV zu fahren. Auch kann ich sehr einfach nach Ideen schauen, was ich in Berlin alles machen kann. Das Abrufen des Tickets funktioniert auch sehr gut. Weiter so!

Es war nicht ganz ersichtlich wie was einzulösen ging. In manchen Museum konnte man die nutzen, in anderen nicht… manche Veranstalter schienen nicht informiert zu sein dass man 25% Rabatt bekommt… etwas unübersichtlich das alles - aber immerhin Bus und Bahn nehmen ging (wobei auch einfach keiner kontrolliert hat). Also insgesamt schon eine Hilfe, aber an der Übersichtlichkeit mangelt es noch.

Die über die BVG gekauften Berlin WelcomeCard lässt sich nicht mit der App verknüpfen. Manche Rabatte können online nicht eingelöst werden. Sehr enttäuschend und ärgerlich.

Kaum Veranstalter enthalten! Dann werden Rabatte eingelöst sind aber nur an der Kasse vor Ort gültig - nicht online ! Ergo habe ich alle Tickets zum Normaltarif kaufen müssen da die Veranstaltungen sonst ausgebucht gewesen wären! Habe letztendlich für 3x 6d fast 180€ gezahlt und die Card nicht einmal nutzen können! Finger weg von dem Mist!
