### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2013-12-11*

Love This program! Only One Suggestion, Can You Put multiple ip address to take multiple pictures at once.

### 5/5 — Berrycam

*2013-12-05*

Great app. Worked with no problems. Website installation instructions for the pi are clear.

### 4/5 — Works perfect out of the box!

*2013-10-06*

Love the app and ability to view photos direct on the ipad. Showing the photos via the web browser is another great idea. Only suggestion is to disable anyone from viewing the directory structure by typing http://xx.xx.xx.xx:8000/ (even though it's on an internal LAN). Look forward to the time lapse and video modes!

### 1/5 — Fails to launch

*2019-03-31*

I updated the app to Mt rasperry pi IP address, and now it fails to launch.

**Developer response:** Sorry to hear this. Drop me a note info@fotosyn.com and I’ll do my best to help you.

### 1/5 — Not ready for prime time

*2014-11-21*

With RPi A+ crashes continually after first use and until completely uninstalled and reinstalled.

### 1/5 — Did not work

*2014-01-04*

I followed step by step instructions. It advised me that the web page to put into the pi program could not be found. Any suggestions?

### 2/5 — Update coming?

*2021-12-08*

App needs to be updated to incorporate the recent changes in PI OS camera commands.

I like the app, it would be a lot more useful if the GUI incorporated timelapse and video - basically an open source GoPro.

### 2/5 — No Live Preview

*2020-08-22*

Not having such an expected function doesn’t help the experience.

Since there is no live preview there is now way of knowing what the picture will look like before taking a pic.

**Developer response:** Hi there... something to consider in the future but yeh focus is on making this as easy to get up and running as possible for most folks without the need to set up complex streaming applications on their Pi. Once I have posted an upcoming update on the app itself, I’ll take a look and see what options I can consider. Hope the inconvenience of not previewing doesn’t hinder you too much... I liken it to using an old film camera and it’s quite fun not knowing what you’re going to get

### 2/5 — Keine Funktion!

*2019-03-23*

### 2/5 — would like it more if it worked

*2018-03-21*

every time I take a photo I get sent back to my desktop, and no picture is taken.

**Developer response:** Sorry to hear this. Drop me a note info@fotosyn.com and I’ll do my best to help you.

### 3/5 — Very touchy (no pun intended)

*2016-02-28*

Sometimes this app works perfectly, and other times I get a dark green photo despite not changing any settings. Suffice to say the interface is great, and I wish there were more folks working on apps like this. From my experience this app is inconsistent, but wonderful when it is working.

### 3/5 — Berrycam

*2013-09-14*

This works well with the Raspberry Pi and camera for still shots. It would make it much more useful if you could stream live video to the iPad or iPhone. Maybe in the future?

### 4/5 — Great remote control of the raspberry pi camera

*2020-05-30*

Is there any chance of getting support for the new HQ Raspberry Pi camera?

In the past I've found BerryCam very useful for wireless control of astrophotography with the Raspberry Pi camera module. It has been quite reliable and gives access to most of the options I need. I did have to modify the python script that runs the server on the Raspberry Pi to add the time lapse parameters that I need, but that was not too hard.

**Developer response:** Hi there yes currently working on a new version which will cover the functionality of the new HQ Camera. I’ve been testing it for a number of weeks and pretty happy with the results. Looking to post the update very soon.

Thanks for your kind comments!

### 5/5 — Great little app!

*2024-07-16*

This one really does what it says, no fuss. After playing for a few hours, I can think of a few simple enhancement e.g. a live view mode where a picture is taken at regular intervals.
Also it is not totally clear how the scale parameter works.
Still a great tool for Rpi camera users.

### 5/5 — Works well on pi4

*2019-08-26*

Pi: Pi 4 (4gb)
OS: Raspbian (Buster)
Cam: V2.0 8mp

Remarkably simple setup. I was able to ssh over my phone and get the necessary .py file. Thats all you need actually. Run the script and enter the ip address of the pi on the app and you’re up running. Took all of 2 minutes. I haven't ran into any of the issues others have been mentioning.

### 5/5 — Great

*2018-06-17*

Easy to set on raspberries pi, just 2 unix cmd lines, on app site you just need to provide the ip.
Clean and easy to use, honestly great developers with sense on simplicity and professionalism 😉
Really enjoyed

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2018-01-31*

Nice job building the app. Easy setup, slick interface, 5 stars.

### 5/5 — Genius

*2017-11-04*

Absolutely amazing app

### 5/5 — 1A

*2017-10-11*

Funktioniert einwandfrei...man muss nur aufpassen das man die korrekte Version des Scripts erwischt...

### 5/5 — Very good app for remote controlled cameras

*2016-01-31*

One of the problems with a remote controlled PiCam is testing the exposure options and pointing the camera precisely such as when using the PiCam for Astrophotography. By accident I found the BerryCam app and loaded it to the iPad air2 with IOS9.2 and to the /home/Pi on the Raspberry Pi model B running the May 2015 version of rasbian wheezy. I suggest making a shell to contain the long URL pointing to the startup. Once loaded set the Pi IP address into the iPad App, push the bottom center button and in seconds activity begins. I had a separate PC connected via putty.exe and could monitor /home/Pi activity, kinda neat. Also I forgot I was running 'motion' software and crontab with 2 raspistill scripts all at the same time, no crashes, 5 stars ! ! ! ! Can't wait to see future enhancements. I suggest making the IP entry a list of IP entries for those of us who use multiple PiCams at the same time and someday live video streaming.

**Developer response:** Thank you! I hope you’ve discovered the latest version and yes, just as you mention hoping to introduce multiple Pi’s as well as live preview. Watch this space 👌

### 5/5 — Works perfectly!

*2015-12-25*

Thank you for making this app - this works great and easy to set up if you already work with a Ras Pi. But also a great app to learn with if you haven’t!

### 5/5 — Great app for remote viewing

*2015-05-28*

I setup VPN on my router and there you go I have a great remote viewing app for my Pi cam. I wish if there was a full screen mode available, but no complaints

### 5/5 — Working again

*2015-02-17*

With this update it is working again. The reset button functions.
