Why can I no longer order drinks from the table, pandemic created a great opportunity for single people to hold there table. Now this function and app, seems pretty useless

I know it’s only a quid but after downloading the app and adding my payment details it charged me!  

Not good:-(

Seems there’s been an update and now card will not be accepted.  
Worked fine a last week but not now.
