You can make notes on each transaction and create a budget for each expense and income category. The monthly, quarterly, and annual data is presented as pie charts. There is a chart for income, another for income and expense, and a third for expense categories. There are only two colors for numbers in accounting: black for positive numbers and red for negative numbers. Also users should have the choice of rolling year end balances into the new year or NOT. It is hard to imagine anyone wanting to roll over one year into the next but that is what happens now without going through the lengthy process of setting up all your accounts anew. With these two fixes this would be an excellent app for me but not for those who want to enter invoices, cheques, bank, etc. it is not intended for that. ### 5/5 — Great App *2015-12-08, version 3.2* Great App! When entering my income it didn't show up anywhere in the app. How can I get a refund? ### 1/5 — Frustrating! *2013-01-04, version 1.1* The first thing this program did was ask me to put a password on it. As soon as i did it locked up and wont let me use it. Each time i try to put in a password it shuts down. I cant even open it. I wrote the company and they will not reply! ### 1/5 — Crappy Appie *2012-12-24, version 1.1* I put a pass lock on and could not get in. I deleted the app hoping it would reload with info. It didn't. I had to migrate info from the free app but had to update the changes I made to the paid version. Frustrating. I'm afraid to place another pass lock again. I emailed support 2x and have not heard anything back. I am adding expenses and it shows up in main frame for some reason and added expenses turn other expenses in red which we know is in the negative but I have enough to cover expense so I don't know why it's doing it. Pass. ### 2/5 — Excellent *2016-06-09, version 3.3* I used to use an old app called Budget, on my ipad 2. Now on ipad 3 and needed a new app. I had thought this app might replace it ... entering random dates from/to for budget, gbp, dropbox backup/restore, and transferring data from free to paid version was done in seconds and perfectly. I wasn't keen on the colours and layout, but the functionality and reliability had seemed good, but, 2 weeks on, I can't find how to stop it carrying over totals, it doesn't 'recurr' payments, totals wrong even if I delete any previous and now outdated budgets, I enter a dated expense but it doesn't file it in the right budget time period, and I can't stand the depressingly drab layout any more. Deleted. ### 2/5 — Issue *2015-07-24, version 3.0* I used the free app, thought it was great. Bought the app, pushed yes for the old and new to merge- but that didn't happen...very disappointed. ### 2/5 — Ok. *2014-08-21, version 2.1* Other than the fact that syncing is not automatic between devices, this app is ok. Update: it's no longer my go to app but I still use it, but it's not my favourite. That would be Moneywiz. This syncing issue is a head scratcher: If you are syncing between devices, MAKE SURE that you use one device for data entry. If you don't do this and backup from the secondary device, the latest data will be overwritten. You get a warning but this is unusual. The second oddity is using restore from iCloud backup. Sometimes I have to do a restore several times before the complete restore takes affect! There was an update 24 July with "bug fixes". Hopefully this is one of the bugs that got squished. Update: the latest update (9 months in the making) has not fixed the issue where you have to restore several times before all of the data is restored. I'm beginning to lose any love for this app. The Reports section basically shows you pie chart for whatever time period you select. However, anytime one of my budget categories change, I can't make a change without it recurring retroactively. For instance, if I decide to increase my food budget because my kids are eating more, I need to delete the old category and create a new one instead of just editing the old one.
