No way to use the pass on exit and no attendant (around 3 pm on a Thursday), do I was double charged. Tried to request a refund last month through their website, but no response. ### 2/5 — Very outdated pricing *2026-06-21, version 11.5.2* This app used to be good, but I pulled into a garage tonight that this app said would be $10, and by the time I saw it would it cost me $45 it was too late to turn around. But I started receiving texts from the area I parked in about a parking violation. Tested this theory with someone else (new phone, new everything). And they have the same issue. However, I used it on January 29, 2026 to buy parking and I can’t add the pass to my Apple Wallet. I’ve emailed them twice but have not received a response. ### 1/5 — Good App! Until Anything Goes Wrong *2026-02-24, version 11.4.2* I used this app for years- found it really useful for finding, predominantly, parking garages or free parking in NYC. Had pre-booked and paid for a $75 garage in December that rejected our car for reasons not communicated. Contacted their customer service 7x and they stopped responding after seeking resolution and no refund was provided - but they just stopped responding after the 2nd Follow Up. No reason given. No credit. No resolution or ownership. Perhaps it’s the ParkWhiz ownership but this was as bad a customer service as I’ve had. ### 1/5 — Reservations not guaranteed *2026-02-22, version 11.4.2* For the second time in a month, garage refused entry because their lot was full. Had to pay full price elsewhere. Getting a refund is not easy. ### 1/5 — Could not park at garage I paid for, requested refund with no response *2026-02-10, version 11.4.1* My wife had an appointment in New York early in the morning, we drove more than 3 hours from rhode island to find the parking garage where we booked parking is full and we were unable to park in the garage, a police officer would not allow us to enter. We had to again pay for parking in another location after arriving and not even knowing where to go. When I tried to request a refund a couple days later when I had time I never received a refund or any kind of response from this company ### 1/5 — Paid for parking in advance *2026-02-05, version 11.4.0* The app is useful for finding approximate parking rates, but today I got an $80 ticket for parking in a spot I had paid for through the app and nobody onsite had even heard of the company. Not sure where my $12.50 went but apparently it wasn’t to the lot I parked my car in. ### 1/5 — Garbage app now *2025-12-20, version 11.4.0* Use to be decent but when you put in address it doesn’t work. It keeps getting a different address. Searching for Vancouver and lead me to north Vancouver. ### 2/5 — Do not recommend *2025-11-04, version 11.3.2* I used this app for a parking garage in Cincinnati. I followed all the instructions and when I tried to exit it would not open. The Attendant very rudely pointed at a number and said I had to call that number if I booked on an app and it wasn’t working. They opened the gate but tried to charge me again. I told them I paid through a 3rd party app and they requested I send them the receipt. I did, but it still did not resolve it. I had to call back and they finally said they would “write it off as a 1 time courtesy but you have to pay when you park”. I sent them proof and they disregarded it. Be careful folks. I won’t be using this app again. ### 1/5 — Was great, terrible now *2025-10-12, version 11.2.0* This app was previously really good and I’d use it all the time to find parking lots but also see street parking for a location before I’d go. The search functionality no longer works so nothing can be looked up in advance. Only the current location can be searched, making it pretty useless for planning ahead. ### 4/5 — Tried others *2025-10-03, version 11.2.0* I frequently cancel reservations. Best Parking app easy to use, can store parking pass on cellphone; best part is ability to cancel until the start time of the reservation. When I tried the apps of the garages’ owners, they were more complicated to use and their personal service were frequently inadequate. Sometimes, Best Parking is a couple of dollars more expensive than the “home” app, but very well worth it … absolutely no hassles!! UPDATE: Last reservation: I or software erred and, when arrived at garage, reservation was not accessible. Garage refused to permit me to investigate on my cellphone and, being in a rush, I was forced to pay $68 instead of $35! ### 1/5 — Very scam *2025-09-05, version 11.1.11* I tried to rebook using book again button and it automatically upgraded to 24hrs and was a one click pay …..:very very sneaky. Beware as they have no recourse refund for this kind of stuff that is really really bad ### 1/5 — This app is a fraud. *2025-09-01, version 11.1.11* I reserved parking in Key West, FL. Yet I still got a parking fee notice. I’m being double charged. ### 1/5 — Garage *2025-07-21, version 11.1.11* Shocking service and wait is horrendous ### 2/5 — Poor coordination with garages *2025-06-23, version 11.1.9* I’ve been using this service for some time, and I’ve gotten fed up with repeatedly booking spots in garages, only to find that the garage is full, or (in one case) went out of business. What’s the point in making a reservation, paying in advance, only to find there isn’t actually a reserved spot, so much as “we’ll fit you in if there’s space”? Customer service is fine- they refund your money when it happens- but doesn’t make up for the failure to coordinate with the lots and actually deliver the service that’s been paid for. ### 1/5 — Beware! Unfair Company *2025-06-11, version 11.1.8* Even if you reserve and prepay, there's no guarantee you'll actually park your car AND this app/company is difficult to deal with - hard to get a refund. The app provides inadequate information. You will pay for a WISH to park, not a true reservation. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — CHARGED FOR CLOSED LOT *2026-07-13, version 11.5.4* Got charged $28 for reserving a parking spot, at a lot that turned out refused to accept any cars. Have been calling and emailing for several days, and can’t get through to anyone to resolve this. Very frustrating!! ### 1/5 — It’s a trap! *2026-06-29, version 11.5.4* If you see “Event” parking specials, don’t make the mistake I did. They front load the time and leave a short amount of time on the back end for more $. Use another app like spot hero. ### 1/5 — Too often, reservations not honored *2026-06-24, version 11.5.3* I don’t ask a lot of a parking spot app. I pay them money, go to the garage, and park my car. But BestParking has been repeatedly failing even those low expectations, and getting worse. Twice in the past year, I’ve arrived at the garage to be told that they were full, and my reservation wouldn’t be honored. Once, the garage itself was shuttered, out of business. There is a customer service number: in the most recent incident, it took two calls and more than 20 minutes to talk to someone. He told me that it wasn’t their fault, he couldn’t book me another garage, and that I would have to fill out an online form to get a refund. When I protested that this was ridiculous, he reiterated that it was up to the garage to hold a spot for reservations, and BestParking had no control over whether they actually did it, but he would give me a refund “as a special one time consideration.” Good customer service would be to apologize, and immediately book another spot, but that wasn’t an option (as I was told, all bookings must be done on the app or website). This is the Seinfeld rental car counter scene as an app: reserving a spot doesn’t mean it’ll be there, and if it’s not, maybe you’ll get a refund, if they’re feeling generous, but they certainly won’t apologize or book an alternate spot for you. Would you accept this from Expedia, or Hotels.com, or any other third party booking site? If not, why accept it from a parking site? ### 1/5 — The worst *2026-06-07, version 11.5.2* I used this app during my trip to LA and was charged twice for the same parking reservation. Despite requesting a refund, the issue was never solved. Reaching a customer service representatives seems impossible, and my inquiries submitted through the app have gone completely unanswered. VERY disappointing customer support and overall experience ### 1/5 — Reservations are not working! *2026-05-20, version 11.5.2* This is now the third time that I have reserved parking where the place said they have no room then I went to park - you need to start banning places from your service because I might stop using you as your service can’t be trusted ### 1/5 — Charges more than garage *2026-04-22, version 11.4.5* After reviewing my account, I realized that the app has been over charging what the garage charges. Sometimes by as much as $15. ### 1/5 — Poor Customer Service *2026-04-14, version 11.4.5* I have used the app to book parking successfully many times. For one of my bookings, their system didn’t work, leaving me to find and pay for parking a second time. When I reported the incident, it took several months before they responded. Then they sent a series of questions in separate messages that I responded to before finally canceling my claim, saying I had been unresponsive. When I contacted them again, they sent a message asking for a video recording of the incident…from several months ago. How exactly am I supposed to record a video while using my phone to show a QR code? They clearly are uninterested in helping to resolve my issue. ### 1/5 — The worst *2026-04-03, version 11.4.5* Absolute joke of an app since it was a quoted by Parkwhiz I have used for years. In the early days, the rare customer service issue was handled quickly and efficiently. Now support is routed through a janky google form that an “ai agent will review in 7-10” days. Today was the last time I’ll use this app. UPDATE: My review received a response and told me to call a number to resolve the issue. I called the number. Was put in a queue of 9 people. Waited 45 minutes. The agent told me that all refund requests had to be submitted online. I’ve always found multiple parking options for my trips allowing me to quickly choose optimal cost, timing, distance, indoor/outdoor and such for each. But the 5-stars goes for their fast response and full refunding of not one, but two, separate occasions when the booked parking didn’t go to plan. Once a lot’s QR code reader was broken so I had to pay manually on spot. And once due to less than usual traffic, I arrived 15 minutes before scheduled start and automated gate wouldn’t allow me to enter lot but neither could I realistically back up one-way, skinny ramp to leave with 3 honking cars behind me. Paid manually on spot then too. In both cases, Best Parking replied to my email explanation (and receipts) in minutes with confirmation of refund and apologies for the inconvenience of the situation. Even though it was just fate, no one’s true fault. I wish all my service providers were half as good at customer service. (P.S.
