Thanks ### 3/5 — Cannot modify modular display *2022-10-09, version 5.22* Since watchOS 8 made a mess of the date complications on the modular display (I.e. removed it), I thought this app would make it right. Not sure if it’s the Better Day or watchOS but the selected display is not shown on the watch. Doesn’t matter what you select, it always show the day of the week, date and the week number. Don’t need the week number. Just a larger day of the week and date. ### 3/5 — Expected AM / PM option *2022-05-11, version 5.22* It’s nice to be able to display the full date, but I really wanted to show AM / PM for the digital time. This app doesn’t have any time complication; it’s only about formatting of date and day of the week. ### 3/5 — Great idea! But there are bugs *2021-07-31, version 5.22* The main problem is that this app blinks when watch switches to/from darkened (“always on”) mode. No other app does that so it looks like bug that breaks consistency of the watch face. The other problem the square infograph and round infograph are messed up in settings. So when you modify square infograph instead the round infograph settings are edited. ### 3/5 — Days get out of sync *2020-05-01, version 5.22* My Better Day Apple Watch complication says April 29 right now. It’s May 1. Launching the iPhone and Watch apps do not update it. I like the app, but this has happened more than once and it’s kind of a problem when the calendar on my watch (that I paid for...) is off by a day or two. ### 3/5 — Meh *2020-03-02, version 5.22* It sort of helps the cause, but not really. Was hoping to be able to show a mini calendar in a face like Infograph (in the same way Extra Large can). But instead I'm stuck using Extra Large with no additional complications available. At least it's a slight improvement on what Apple gave us, for $600. ### 4/5 — A great date compilation *2020-01-02, version 5.20* The default date compilation is simple and it works but if you want a different style this is definitely the app to use. The only thing I wish it did do was have an option to still open the normal event calendar instead of the three year calendar it provides as I would find the event calendar more useful in my situation. ### 2/5 — Lacks account linking to view calendar events/schedule *2019-10-11, version 5.14* As a complication, it’s very useful. However, it’s a huge downside that clicking on the complication doesn’t take you to a calendar with a list of your events or redirect you to the original calendar app. I would’ve loved to have my google calendar connected and viewable. ### 4/5 — Does what it says *2019-07-15, version 5.14* It’s a nice, functional utility for displaying dates on your Apple Watch in a variety of ways. One omission that would be great in a future update, however, is the ability to show the time as well. ### 2/5 — Does what Apple won’t on Infograph face but has isssues *2019-07-07, version 5.14* Overall it looks good for a corner complication on Infograph face on my Apple Watch 4 but the date at times will stop updating. Like right now it is Saturday but it shows yesterdays’ date. I can restart my watch for it to fix but it is annoying. Happens at least once a week or two. Apple doesn’t have a similar complication for the corners so this is what I’m using but I thought by now this would have been fixed. There are other reviews noting the same issue. ### 4/5 — Fantastic, but not many choices *2019-06-25, version 5.14* The apps works perfectly and looks great, but the lack of options for each face is infuriating. They only offer a few seemingly random date format combinations for each face, and not a single one is what I was looking for. Hoping the devs allow customized compilations or more choices in the future since I really like how everything looks. Still 4/5 stars even though I'm not even using the app lol - hope the dev releases more options soon! (As an example: for the infographic modular face, I just want the large central compilation to be date and day of week. Instead, I HAVE to include either "day 310 of 2019" or "week 43 of 2019" as a third line. Why?! Great app otherwise) ### 2/5 — Could use some better functionality and looks *2019-06-01, version 5.13* I would prefer to open the stock calender app when touching the dial as this has both a month view and events. This app will only show month. In the infograph complication the designs are pretty bad. Why not allow something minimal like just a text date? Why does there need to be an orange hand (no other color option) covering everything up or some ugly thick line around the numbers? Disappointing. Will likely be sticking with the stock date and the FREE watchthetime app until this app can get some more functionality and better looking complications. ### 4/5 — Nice to have a year calendar on watch. *2019-05-25, version 5.13* I have (had) a year calendar printed and on my desk. Now I have one at the touch of a button on my watch. Would like it to default to current month on click from complication, or at least an option to keep last viewed vs today. ### 3/5 — Support? *2019-04-23, version 5.13* For cash I would expect the ability to request help from the dev. Instead my request is handled through the App Store review system? Anyway, I can’t get better day to show up in my list of available watch apps, so I guess it’s useless for me. There appears to be no support for users in the app. The whole process is frustrating and disappointing. Update: I found the support section of your site linked through the app in the App Store.. why on earth wouldn’t you include a link to that *in* the app? The above problem was resolved, of course, using your knowledge from the support page. I would still like to see the ability to make Monday the first day of the week, but this is less a concern than feeling like an idiot when I opened the app. ### 2/5 — When it works.... *2019-04-20, version 5.13* It works great but too often it fails to update the date. I got tired of removing and adding it back just to move the date to the current date. A quick google search and this seems like a bug that they have not fixed. The Modular watch face either shows the long Better Day version of the day/date, including the well number, etc., or the Apple default. I purchased the app specifically to have it display the Day/Date, *not* Month/Date. Spent over an hour trying various settings without success. I’ve emailed the developer, so hopefully they’ll respond. Found Better Day that had the right combination of formats that I wanted. 1 week in, realized the day and day number hasn’t changed in 4 days. Opened the app, cycled day offset, cycled it back, everything updated. Today I noticed again it’s 2 days off and won’t update. Absolutely useless calendar app that can’t even display the correct day. That’s the only reason you exist! ### 1/5 — Keeps getting stuck on wrong date *2019-01-08, version 5.11* The watch complication keeps getting stuck on the previous day. It has done this to me every few weeks since I added it. Tapping the complication to enter the calendar view shows the correct date but then the complication on the watch face never updates. Only fix I have found is to reboot the whole watch. ### 1/5 — Does not update *2018-11-28, version 5.10* Have been using this app for about a month and I’ve tried everything to make this work to keep the up to date and it doesn’t. You can’t rely on this app to show the correct date. Every one who pays for this does not get what they pay for. The app designer is burring this issue on the bottom of the review page. Keeping the money coming when it does not work. The concept is great but it just Doesn’t work . Its a shame. ### 2/5 — Good, have some wishes *2020-08-17, version 5.22* Much nicer than default date complication, however it semi-frequently stops updating the date. Nothing fixes this until the watch is restarted. Additionally, it would be great if we could use Unicode Locale Data Markup Language (LDML). For instance, I would prefer to use periods between days and months over slashes. ### 2/5 — Nice when it works *2020-06-14, version 5.22* I bought this to show the day and date on the activity watch face. But three times in the last month it has stopped updating day and date on the watch face, even though the calendar shows correctly. Incorrect information is worse than no information at all. ### 2/5 — BD complication will not update to correct date *2020-03-11, version 5.22* I got the Better Date to use on my Apple Watch, because it has the month/date/year/week day format that I want. Apple build-in date format is limited and cannot be customized. But the big issue with BD is that the displayed date is not updating as it should be. Like the date it displayed on my Apple Watch currently is off by 12 days. Usually, I can tap the complication into BD and the date will get updated (it should automatically and should not require my tapping). But, today it is not updating even if tapping into BD on my Apple Watch. Time to search for another time app for my watch. One star for the app and adding one more star because I like the display format, but if the dates are wrong and cannot be corrected, then it is useless. ### 2/5 — Doesn’t Work *2019-11-13, version 5.20* I use this for the analog infograph face, to have the day in the corner. It’s cool that the text can be customized with any color, and I think it’s very convenient. It’s much better than the native calendar. The issue is that the date stops updating after a while, which renders the complication useless. And then the complication will be stuck on the wrong date, with no way to sync it back to normal. Right now my “date” is just empty dashes, so the app isn’t providing me with any useful information. I don’t think a calendar app should be very difficult to display, considering that my weather complications work just fine, which are far more sophisticated. I paid money for an app that is essentially useless. ——————— Update: The app was fixed for a couple months and I had no issues. How do I get it back? ### 5/5 — Must-have app for Watch *2021-03-07, version 5.22* This app is brilliant; lightweight, useful, improves upon a lacking in the OS (without overstepping). The app hasn’t seen an update in a year... I hope it’s not been abandoned. Until we get an Apple Watch App Store with watch faces in it, custom complications like this are an absolute godsend. If you have an Apple Watch, and have any use for a date-related complication, you owe it to yourself to get this app. It provides for more complication flexibility than any other calendar I have yet seen.
