I love the flexibility of this app, it’s been really great for my ear training. Many of the exercises would be helpful for my students, as well, but anytime the fretboard is used for note entry (such as on the “melody music reading” exercises) it fails to account for the guitar being an octave transposing instrument. Guitar reads C4 on the fifth string third fret, even though the second string first fret is the one that actually sounds as a C4. Should be an easy fix, hope to see it implemented in the future! PS The “ignore octave when entering notes” option in general settings does not solve this problem

Eigentlich anfangs eine gute App. Lief ein paar Wochen einwandfrei und plötzlich bricht sie immer wieder beim Start der einzelnen Programme ab. Scheinbar wurde seit dem 2022 an dieser App nicht mehr gearbeitet und technische Veränderungen nicht mehr eingearbeitet. Schade!!!

Leider habe ich kürzlich festgestellt, dass man das Mikrofon nich mehr benutzen kann… denn leider stürzt die App ab sobald ich es aktiviere. Sowohl auf dem IPad, als auch auf dem IPhone. Ich kann mich erinnern, dass das früher ging, deshalb muss es wohl an einem Update liegen. Ich hoffe das wird behoben und ich kann irgendwann eine 5-Sterne Bewertung geben🙏

Um mit dem Mikrofon üben zu können, habe ich gestern die Vollversion gekauft. Ist das Mikrofon nicht aktiv, funktioniert die APP auf dem Ipad 6 ordentlich. Aktiviere ich das Mikrofon um zu üben, stürzt die App prompt ab!
Das Geld hätte ich sparen können, denn es funktioniert alles wie bei der BeginnerVersion. Deshalb nur zwei Sterne. An sich ist die App prima.

それと、ios4の頃（このアプリの発売時）から言っていますが、リズムトレーニングや視唱、短旋律、二世対位法、四声体和声の聴音も一向に導入されないです。ただ、約10年前からios14まで対応している開発元には経緯と感謝を申し上げます。

Es wäre super, wenn man die Tonleitern umbenennen könnte. Es ist mixo#11, nicht lydisch b7. Und auch nicht Mixo b2b6, sondern hm5 oder Mixo b9b13. Neu hinzufügen für eigene Level geht leider nicht, weil es "diese Tonleiter bereits gibt"
 Vielleicht sind die Namen in der Klassik richtig aber ich glaube nicht, dass es die Leitern da gibt.

I think this is a good program and I use it daily. One critique is that the interval training doesn’t use a key signature; and if I had a wish list for an update it would be to include that. 

It’s easy to identify intervals in C; the next level would be to add key signatures and then double flats etc. 

Otherwise that portion is for  beginners only.  

Also, including inversions in the chord recognition and chord progressions would help in that area to make it more comprehensive. Great program overall though.

Das Mikro hat teilweise Probleme Töne zu erkennen und „erkennt“ dann wieder Töne wenn noch keiner gespielt wurde.

Im Übungsmodus gibt es wenn man Töne wiederholen lassen möchte Probleme mit der erneuten Wiedergabe -> der ausgangston wird meist völlig geschluckt und der zielton ebenfalls abgehackt...

Vielleicht liegt es an meinen Wurschtfingern, aber der Play und der repeat Button könnten gerne etwas größer/ weiter auseinander liegen. Leider mehr als einmal passiert, dass ich eine Übung wiederholen wollte und stattdessen der nächste Ton kam, zurück gehen um zu prüfen geht leider (in der kostenlosen Version) nicht

When creating custom lessons, everything is turned on by default. So have to painfully select each item to deactivate which does not always work.  A quick tap does not work to activate/deactivate nor does a long tap, it’s some magical interval in between.  Basically it is the user interface needs work so we can just quickly tap to activate or deactivate.  Also how about ability to limit key range?  When the sound is higher in pitch it’s is difficult to make out the correct tone.

Wenn man sich die app nur angucken würde könnte man meinen sie wäre optimal für die selbständige Gehörbildung. Es hat viele Übungen und die Möglichkeit diese zu individualisieren. 
Sobald man jedoch zum eigentlichen Teil, dem hören, kommt merkt man spätestens bei anderen Hörbeispielen, dass der Klang der Töne um Längen von authentischen Klängen sich unterscheidet, was nicht nur miserabel klingt, sondern die Übungen auch in einer Art erschwert, die der Lernhilfe in keinster Weise nützt. Und da dies die Kernfunktion der app sein sollte ist nicht nur dieser Aspekt misslungen sondern leider auch die ganze app.
Wer ein Beispiel will kann sich die lite version herunterladen und es selbst hören. Es wird nicht besser! Ausserdem gibt es online Alternativen die bei weitem besser sind und kostenfrei.

Definitiv keine Kaufempfehlung meinerseits, grade zu diesem Preis!

Ich übe gerne mit der App. Die verschiedenen Schwierigkeitsgrade  bringen mich langsam nach vorne, ohne fremde Hilfe .  Bluetooth  ging bei mir vor dem letzten Update besser.  Unterwegs sind die Sounds   vom iPhone für Gehörbildung nicht vorteilhaft . Ich freue mich trotzdem über die Möglichkeit alleine üben zu können.

eigentlich finde ich die app recht gut. man hat viele möglichkeiten, die übungen anzupassen. allerdings muss ich bemängeln, dass selbst auf dem schwierigkeitsgrad profi keine 11er und 13er akkorde zum hören enthalten sind. ich habe die fehlenden akkorde selbst ergänzt, allerdings stürzt die app beim abspielen dieser immer ab. deshalb gebe ich nur 3/5. es ist meines erachtens nicht in ordnung, gute 10€ für eine app zu verlangen, die mir im endeffekt nicht helfen kann, weil sie immer abstürzt.

I cannot use the app it closes all the time with no reason, it’s a shame I used to really like it when it worked. The piano screen is now all weird its dimension is not correct and it does work.

Aujourd’hui l’application plante lancement d’un exercice sur mon iPad 6 sous ipados 17.7.5
C’est vraiment dommage c’est Applications est vraiment intéressante. on dirait qu’il n’est plus suivi sur iPad.

I was really happy with this app and it helped me a lot over the last years. But now the app is crashing every time audio is played. I got an iPhone 14 so I would expect that it works without problems. It’s really sad when you pay for something and than there is no support anymore…

Bonjour, je n’arrive pas à joindre un service d'assistance alors je vous écris ici. J’utilise l’application quotidiennement et voilà qu’aujourd’hui dès que j’active le micro pour répondre à un exercice, l’application se quitte aussitôt et je me retrouve sur mon écran d’accueil. J’ai tout essayé depuis 30 minutes mais rien n’y fait! C’est uniquement lorsque j’active le micro que l’application est défaillante! Merci pour votre compréhension!

Je mets une étoile a cette application et un 0 pointé au service Apple car j’ai payé 2 × cette application : une première en débloquant les fonctions dans la version lite une seconde quand j’ai téléchargée la version complète. Malgré ma demande de remboursement auprès d’Apple et de l’éditeur aucun des deux n’a été en mesure de me rembourser à ce jour , se renvoyant la responsabilité...

Oh my God I just got completely ripped off. Should have read more of the reviews. I just bought this and it's clear I made a mistake. The chords don't work at all! These people are selling a defective product. The sound is choppy and distorted and cuts in and out. It's useless. 

The intervals are cool but besides that and the chords (which as I said don't work) there's really not much here. Pitch and tempo? Give me a break. I just threw away $15. I don't know if there's any way I can get a refund but I'm going to try, and if I can't I'm going to complain to Apple.

It has everything you need in a easy to use user interface,it lets you add custom items even custom progressions with custom chords,never ever i have seen an app tgat has a feature like this.The ultimate app for ear training,make no mistake.

First of all I would like to say that I love this app and use it 2 to 3 hours a day. There are a couple of things that are kind of annoying though. With the interval recognition Exercises, Including the unison interval is completely useless for ear training purposes and it screws up the whole interface, having to scroll up and down just to grab the octave or the unison. The other thing is, I have it set on the fastest setting, and it’s too slow but at the same time too fast to read if I make a mistake, it should go faster and then pause for a second, long enough to read what mistakes I make. The other thing that would be helpful is when I check stats it lists which intervals I got wrong but it doesn’t list what interval I confused it with. In other words, it would be helpful to know  for example, that I am tending to confuse minor 6 down with major 6 down or with major 3rd up or whatever it may be. Thanks

Die App ist fürs Trainieren perfekt. Sehr sinnvoll finde ich, dass man eigene Level definieren kann, wobei ich es etwas nervig finde, aus allen Optionen abzuwählen. Besser wäre es umgekehrt bzw. nur die Optionen aus den unmarkierten hinzuzuwählen, die man haben möchte. Ebenso ist das Nachjustieren durch den etwas aufwendigen Weg unschön. Da wünsche ich mir einen leichteren Zugriff. Und bitte noch bessere Sounds für Gitarre, die sind nämlich etwas unterrepräsentiert.

Insgesamt aber einfach sehr gut!

Vielseitig, man kann sogar eigene Übungen konfigurieren und speichern. Man kann zwischen Klaviertastatur und Gitarrengriffbrett wählen um die Töne einzugeben. Von Intervallen und Tonhöhen Erkennen bis Blattlesen alles dabei. Die App ist jeden Cent wert.

Better Ears is really excellent ! If you want to train your ears, go for it ! And if you think that your ears already good enough, look at the Pro Version - the most difficult level is a challenge even for advanced musicians. Definitely worth the money !

Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit der App. 
Als Erweiterung würde ich mich sehr über Rhythmus-Diktat Übungen freuen !
Metrum wird vorgegeben und dann ertönt der Rhythmus, der dann zu notieren ist. Das wäre fantastisch.

I made so much progress in a few weeks. It’s fun and really turns you into a better musician. Perfect to train for the entry exam of the Conservatorium for example. You should get the premium version though, it’s worth the money.
