This is a life saver for anyone who is stuck with a dead Bose following the company’s poor business decision. It took me a few days to get it to work, but Qian’s help is awesome. Basically, it turns out that the easiest way to get it to work flawlessly is to factory reset your Bose system. Make sure you have the Bose SoundTouch App to reconnect to your wifi and then BetterST will do the rest. Physical buttons are now working. Thank you Qian. I was able to browse a plethora of radio stations both UK and US, make a preset again! There is supposedly some Spotify integration, I didn’t see that yet and there is no Deezer either. It's fairly priced and pretty easy to set up. I had one query before I migrated to the Better ST server which was answered quickly and effectively. I knew my Bose speakers were brilliant but I needed them to perform as they used to. It was only by chance that I stumbled across a review of Better ST that has saved the day. Have only just purchased the app and with in minutes my house is full of my 80’s music 👏🤩🥇 ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Appalling Customer Service *2026-07-28* I have emailed the dev over 1/2 doz times asking for help with getting this app working on my SoundTouch 10 and he hasn’t even acknowledged my requests, let alone helped me to get this relatively expensive app working. Happy to pay, but only if it works - which currently, it doesn’t (and I must have gone through the entire set-up process from end to end about 50 times now). Super frustrating and not acceptable for an app that costs £6.99. If I don’t hear from Qian after this review, I’ll have no choice but to ask for a refund. **Developer response:** I am so sorry! Thanks to your review, I found over a dozen genuine user emails in my Gmail spam folder (I'm also quite confused as to why this happened). All user feedback, including yours, has now been addressed. I can’t any instructions on how to pair this app to the bose, but eventually managed it by using the Bose network which comes up when you put the bose into Set up pairing mode. I managed to link this app to my Bose, but nothing will play. I can’t select any of my old preset radio stations, and can’t play my music stored on my ipad through the Bose speakers. La télécommande et les boutons "Preset" ont cessé de fonctionner car Bose a définitivement fermé ses serveurs, ce qui a affecté tous les appareils SoundTouch. It replaces the now not supported Bose Soundtouch app. Bose dropped support for the Soundtouch Soundbar. The Better ST app is a complete replacement. It works perfectly as a replacement. The developer is very responsive and supportive. He continues to updating the app making it better! I recommend the Better ST app for support and replacement of the Bose Soundtouch Soundbars. It's a great app. Get it if you need to get your Soundtouch Soundbar control again! I am very happy I bought the Better ST app to control my Soundtouch 300. Thank you, Qian for this app! J’ai fait des recherches sur Internet et ce n’est qu’au bout de plusieurs échanges avec l’IA et échec avé. Reborn ST que j’ai trouvé la piste de Best ST. L’installation de Best ST s’est faite depuis mon IPhone en deux minutes et l’enceinte fonctionne à nouveau avec ses boutons de présélection. Je suis donc très heureux de la voir renaître avec les boutons de présélection actif. J’ai juste deux recommandations : ajouter la langue française et ajouter certaines radios en France notamment Radio Classique, et également Swiss radio classique Bravo à l’équipe et merci ### 4/5 — Servermigration funktioniert nicht *2026-06-03* Die erste Box ließ sich noch integrieren, bei der 2. ging es nicht mehr. Die Integration wurde einfach abgebrochen. Seitdem kommt nur noch ein ausgehellter Bildschirm zur Anzeige auf welchem ich die Boxen zwar sehr, aber nicht mehr auswählen kann. App deinstalliert, neu installiert. Bringt nix, schade ums Geld. Versuch wars ja wert. Versuche bei der nächsten App mein Glück. **Developer response:** wenn die Lautsprecher bei der Server-Migration ausgegraut und nicht auswählbar sind, bedeutet das, dass die Migration bereits erfolgreich abgeschlossen wurde. The functionality is great and the ability to create speaker groups is very convenient. The introduction of preset button capabilities in version 2.0 is fantastic. Sometimes when I stop a group it will only partially stop and it will create a new group with the speakers left on - so I have to go and delete those groups. It’s a mild frustration and that’s what makes this 4 rather than 5 stars.
