No response from customer services within 2 days. Always have to find my membership number in my email. The forgot your password thing is flaky at best. This first hurdle tarnishes the entire user experience. This is what happens when you let proper engineers go in favour of your inexperienced nephew vibe code a website for an app. Everything is incredibly slow. Registration UX is absolutely terrible. You can’t even pay with Apple Pay. You can’t even scan a card. It has to load something for every interaction. It doesn’t keep login details and I have to register every time I want to use the app. Absolute garbage “app”. Pony up for real engineers. You clearly have the money to do so. Its a web wrapper, based on… Content over function - users come to get a task done, not browse around hoping to find something fun to do (search exists for a reason). Poor taxonomy. Secondary level of account login/creation when booking swimming classes, prob due to different backends, but logging into an app when you are already logged in doesn’t make sense, also login credentials can actually be different. ### 1/5 — The Worst App… Ever! *2026-06-30, version 109.79.1* I’ve recently joined my local Better gym and this app is enough to put me off visiting for good! I’ve never left a review of an app before, but this one is so poorly designed and executed that I’m going out of my way to write this so people can understand my strength of feeling. Not only that but where there used to be 15 slots available per ten minute slot, these have been bundled into 85 (?) for an hour but people can still book in any ten minute slot. This means you could get 85 people turning up when the centre opens or 85 in the last ten minute slot of one hour and 85 in the first slot the next hour. These are unlikely extremes but it is clear that problems will occur and unfortunately it will be the brilliant staff, including lifeguards, who bear the brunt of customers’ annoyance. Please Better, rethink this daft idea, or at least let centres decide on how to set up the app. Please could you also talk to users and find out what their pain points are, look at their user journeys and improve them. Finally, could a basket option be shown on the app? Currently selecting 2 swims by mistake requires going into the website to access the basket and remove one! Think of all the simple features you expect from an app for ease of use such as viewing your basket at any time or saving your billing details for payment, easy to navigate ui. Heh then remove all those good things and add bunch of unnecessary menus without any purpose for confusion. The app requests an actual physical card’s details to buy an activity period, but my cards are securely stored in Apple Pay. It needs to be updated so that there is an Apple Pay option, to easily pay via Apple Pay the way other companies include Apple Pay in their apps.
