Suggestions for the creators: all is us to report on events so we can have a digital journal. Brought back the pin locations which is convenient, like Google Maps AND calendar in one app. Just wish Canvas didn’t cost money, but gotta earn from the app somehow, so understandable. I still miss the ability to adjust the size spacing for the timeline. Plus, it’s annoying when the events accidentally move when just trying to scroll down to them. Other than that, LOVE IT!!! I’m actually getting the things done that I need, but can still quickly add things to my todo list without needing to schedule them immediately! The fact that you can input tasks from Canvas assignments is incredibly useful! Please contact me at bettercalsupport@connectitcorp.com ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 2/5 — Room For Growth *2026-04-29* Great ideas behind the app. It has the kinds of detailed settings you would hope to see to tailor a calendar to your own preferences. Few notes: Daily view is great, but it would also be nice to have a monthly view with events. Like a list view where the month fills the top half of the screen and when you click on a day the events for that day fill the bottom half of the screen. Also, there is some issues surrounding the events. If I change an event color inside the event itself, the color doesn’t update until I restart the app. Second, when I delete or edit a repeating event and select the option “just this event” it impact all events past and future. This really constrains the flexibility to use the calendar function which is the point of the app. **Developer response:** Hi Static Bird, we're sorry to hear this. The only thing is that it consistently moves everything when I move time zones. I plan my week out, and after I finished I opened the app again and literally every event had been moved up an hour since I had moved a time zone from the east to the west. The stuff I had put from 7-9am was now scheduled for 6-8am. My 10-2 was now 9-1. EVERYTHING had moved up an hour, and the only solution was to go in and manually move each event back for the whole week. It has done this every week to me for about three weeks now since I travel a lot, and if it happens again I’m not sure I’ll keep using the app. It ruins all functionality of it and defeats the whole purpose if the schedule I make gets shifted every time I make it. If I put 7am, I mean 7am for wherever I am when I have those plans, I don’t mean 7am for wherever I currently am. If I put something at 7 I want it at 7 and not sliding around on me as I travel. Please fix asap! ### 3/5 — Lots of potential! *2026-07-16* There’s some minor issues like group colors and titles won’t sync. When you press a group in the contacts tab, nothing shows up. You could make it so google calendar and apple calendar sync into this app so we don’t have to go back and forth to add things. How do we add canvas?? I have Google Calendar syncing as a paid feature as well as Canvas while I'd love to make the whole app free, but it costs a lot of time for me to have it up as is. I'm open to ideas though, how would you recommend I operate? I cannot have everything be free, and I cannot do a one time purchase, as much as I hate subscriptions myself, because this is an ongoing service. Thanks! -Mark ### 3/5 — Feels like AI *2026-06-20* I’ve seen a few apps that have been coded mostly by AI, and this seems like one. I’m worried that the team is so small that security breaches are inevitable and that there will be serious scaling issues, so I don’t feel comfortable putting where people live/syncing my contacts. I also just don’t love all the emojis, which I’ve noticed are common in AI apps. Cool idea though. Good planners are hard to find. ### 3/5 — Excellent AreaBook Dupe! *2026-05-09* I’m really liking how closely this resembles Areabook as nothing else has quite compared since I got back from my mission. I would appreciate seeing the progress bar throughout the day, and I would also like to have it sync with Google Calendar. How can we do that? **Developer response:** Hi! I love having goals built in that I can customize and I really enjoy having the planner part. There are a lot of bugs that need to be fixed before I make this app my only planner. Also the canvas feature isn’t very accurate and there’s not much it can tell you, better to just use the canvas app separately. Thanks! -Mark ### 4/5 — Great Calendar *2026-08-23* My experience in this app has been amazing and I prefer it over my other calendars. I do hope that this app continues to be developed and some of its bugs are resolved. If you have the app on multiple devices, you can see events added on both devices, but if you delete an event on one device it may not sync and delete on the other device, and can come back again. ### 4/5 — The App I've Been Looking For *2026-04-30* This app is exactly what I've been looking for ever since I got home from my mission! There are a few minor details to improve, but it's already so much better than my regular calendar app! This app helps me stay organized and manage my time on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis! I love that there are even weekly goals you can set to help you remember to try making a new friend, going to the gym, making a meal at home, etc. It's different from how I used this type of app on my mission, but that's the point! The only reason I’m writing a review is because I can’t find the report a problem section in the app. 1. Please add a report a problem section 2. Repeating events are effected even if I select this event only. (Specifically if delete or adjust them from their menu) 3. Things imported from another calendar (apple in our case) seem to cause glitched blocks that cannot be deleted nor function properly. I look forward to your future updates where you these problems. Excited for future updates. This will definitely replace my current calendar app. Can you add a month view to the calendar that shows events too, so I can schedule things out on a bigger scale occasionally too, instead of just a daily one? Thank you so much to whoever made it. There is one option that would take it from 90 to 100 for me. In our mission we used the filters a lot. It would be great if there was a physical filter on the map where you could filter events right there depending on what type of event it is (meeting, event, work, etc) and also your contacts like the designations that you already can make in the settings. Very similar to area book planner and it’s easy to use and share with multiple people like family. I found out about this app on a day I was particularly feeling overwhelmed with life. As a full time student, co-owner of an international Ed-Tech company, podcast host, athlete, and writer, I was feeling desperate for something to help declutter my mind, help me focus, and prioritize. I even ended up dropping one of my college classes. So, I felt like a little kid on Christmas day when I heard about BetterCalendar. Whether an average Joe or an ambitious CEO, this app is perfect! I look forward to utilizing its features and being able to finally organize everything in one place rather than bouncing between several different apps.
