Unfortunately, you aren’t able to create an account as it states: “No Network Connection” no matter which network I connect to. I downloaded the app to track my information, but it won’t even let me create an account. No matter what password I try, it keeps saying it isn’t strong enough—even after using multiple variations. It’s very frustrating and disappointing. ### 1/5 — Unnecessary privacy breach *2025-08-14, version 1.7.1* The heart monitor is in my home, the phone it’s connected to by Bluetooth is in my home, so it’s unnecessary my private medical data has to be streamed to a an outside corporation in order for me to record my data. It’s the new world order of tech: nothing works without a corporation watching over your shoulder. This isn’t how it used to be; it’s not necessary and consumers need to push back. ### 1/5 — Not useful *2025-07-15, version 1.7.1* I downloaded it and it will not let me create an account. Every password I tried to set it told me was not up to their standards. I even tried the password that Apple generates for you. Still no. App doesn’t allow you to register (keeps coming up as lost internet connection) despite the Guest Login feature work (so bluetooth is not the issue). Returning the product as instructed by customer service. ### 1/5 — Beyond Useless *2025-06-12, version 1.7.1* this application works perfectly in guest mode, but refuses to record any of the data. It requires you to create an account, but it’s not able to create an account. It claims that there’s no network with everything else on the phone is able to access the network and works fine. Absolute cripple wear, self-inflicted injury. They could make this work easily in standalone mode and yet they inflict this necessity to create an account on the users and then they don’t even let you create an account. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work at All *2025-05-31, version 1.7.0* This app is constantly freezing. I have cleared cache, uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted the phone, etc. and have never even been able to log in. It doesn’t produce an error message; just locks up and goes nowhere. Although the app is free, the associated Oximeter costs more in order to be compatible with this app that is quite literally useless! ### 1/5 — you shouldn’t need a privacy-invading, hack able account to get your health data into Apple Health *2025-05-14, version 1.7.0* This app is terrible and doesn’t even allow you to paste your email address into the fields at account creation and it not compatible with password managers like Bitwarden, which help everyone to keep their accounts more secure with strong unique passwords. It is also an invasion of your privacy. I purchased a Innova Oximeter in order to test my SpO2 and wirelessly sync it to my Apple Health. Upon arrival, I was forced to sign up for a privacy-invading account with the Beyond Oximeter app just to get my results into my phone wirelessly. I am disgusted that these manufacturers are making money with this tactic which exposes customer PII, including health data, to hackers and bad actors. We all know the IT security practices of these corporations are never sufficient and they will be hacked eventually. Innova knows this too, but they don’t care. ### 1/5 — Password issues *2025-05-05, version 1.7.0* No matter what password, characters or number variations I select it will not accept in order to set up account. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Can’t change password *2026-08-25, version 1.9.0* It’s a slick device but not accepting password and does not then send a link to change it. Very frustrating as I can’t use this. ### 1/5 — Worthless *2026-08-16, version 1.9.0* An attempting to create an account, I could not paste in a password created by 1Password. I had to type in the password twice, encouraging people to create easy to break passwords. After entering Passwords, I was told it was too long, there should be no limit to the length of a password. Even after the creating everything when I press the button to set up the account nothing happened. So I couldn’t create an account. I went in using guest account and set it to link to Apple health. My iPhone showed no data was added to it. There was no point to bother. Logging in as guest account. The hardware seems good, but I would would have been better saving five dollars and getting the Non Bluetooth version. ### 1/5 — Worst App Ever *2026-07-11, version 1.9.0* Unbelievably bad App. It just simply doesn’t work. Could not pare it, (read & re-read the directions 5 times) thought I was doing something wrong, so I asked my husband for help and he wasn’t able to do it. It shouldn’t be this difficult to pare a device to a phone. Huge disappointment don’t bother wasting your money on this. ### 1/5 — Disgusting breach of privacy *2026-01-14, version 1.8.0* Requires a sign up to record your data. ### 1/5 — Won’t pair *2025-12-06, version 1.8.0* The oximeter seems to function and the app looks like it could be good but it won’t pair with the oximeter. There’s no way to connect it to Bluetooth. It just keeps searching for a device. Which I’m holding in front of my phone. Bummer. There’s no option to attempt the pair after leaving the initial pairing screen so I have to log out and login again to access to pairing attempt again. There’s no way to contact any type of support. It either works or it doesn’t based on the reviews. If it doesn’t there’s nothing to be done aside from write a review in hopes someone notices and helps. It’s really easy to set up and use the app, and the app data matches the readout on the odometer. Recorded sessions are saved as historical data, which is helpful. Very handy. After last update I have to sign in every time (no face recognition anymore) also have to sign back in when changing pages in app sometimes which gets a bit old However notwithstanding these the app connects Bluetooth and works very well App is close, keep working on it regularly to keep up with patches and you’ll have a great product. A page with all the recorded heart rate data together. But I’ve already bought the device, and go ahead with the setup. In any case, the device is easy to use, download the app, create an account, Bluetooth setup right after, and recording works without any issue. It’s as it should be. It gives me more data than a simple oximeter (which I have a few). The one thing I wish it had was the ability to record the actual preview heart rate. From what I can tell it doesn’t. It does take a little longer to get a reading than other oximeter, I do appreciate that it records. Two things they must do is show tracings on the report. This straight yellow or blue line is not a good indication or tracing for anyone. But number one is let there be a place where you could RECORD NOTES. For someone who is sick, it makes a difference sitting or standing or just finished a walk and take 3 min to recover.
